i already did this on my ipad which is actually amazing that you can customize or change the logo of your apps in home screen but i personally like the original looks more minimalist and clean looking

One useful shortcut is to automatically turn on battery saver when charging you phone. It’s useful to charge it faster. Then another shortcut to turn off battery saver once the charger is disconnected
This is actually not good for your battery. The battery gets very hot and it’s trying to save battery while being charged at the same time and it damages the battery.

Downloaded the frames shortcut but even if its working fine on my 11 pro max its not working on my iphone 12 pro max due to a base64 conversation error.

I use a shortcut for unlocking my orientation lock whenever i open calculator making it easier to use the scientific calculator and automatically setting the orientation lock on when I exit the app

Thanks for the great info - i hope you can help with a question that nobody has been able to help - i have arthritis in my fingers, and it is very difficult to squeeze the 2 side buttons simultaneously to turn off the phone and then turn it back on in order to reboot the phone every few days - and i was wondering if there are any tricks or special features where i can reboot the phone without squeezing those 2 buttons or use Siri to reboot the phone?

Is there any risk your notes, for example, can be deleted or the shortcut triggers an action that’s no longer supported? Is there external code within the shortcut itself?
Shortcuts is an apple thing itself. So it’s safe to use, at least if you set everything yourself. Using 3rd party apps could maybe have some security issues. Updates shouldn’t affect the shortcuts unless apple changes the whole thing, but there’re not going to do that.

Not really. It is an apple app and is baked into the system. Until you run the shortcut or program an automation to, it doesn't do anything significant on your ram.
That’s because you’re using sharing feature. When you do that, iOS and iPadOS suggest people who you might want to share that specific thing with. It’s not a security issue. Especially when you’re the one who’s using the device.
With ios 16 you will be able to enable Hotspot with shortcuts but the Bluetooth automation is not fully automatic. It will show you a notification and you will have to tap on it. I wish they made the automations actually automatic for everything
I’m trying to create a shortcut where you get a drop down menu. It asks where you would like to go. You click one of the names and it takes you to that place on maps. I’m having hard time figuring out how to separate each “name” in the menu to each take you to different “get direction” keys idk if it’s possible

You can make a PDF anywhere you see the print option in iOS by reverse pinching (pinch out) the print preview.
also for webpages in safari and some other apps, just taking a screenshot of part of a document/page can be converted to a full pdf
Woah, didn’t know both of these.
Yes I know this, but many times I failed to make a pdf in this way, through shortcuts it seems much more automated for a pdf
@@noah.carrier you don’t even need the screenshot, just touch share button and chose to export as PDF in the options. That’s it :)

RUclips PIP is already in the app but you have to be a premium member to use it. I’ve been using it for months and it is so handy
you can have the audio continue to play but you won’t have a pip

Tile and airtags have shortcuts support. For those you should be able to just for the actions in the shortcuts create page. How it helps

iOS 15 doesn't allow me to install shortcuts and I don't have any option to "Allow Untrusted Shortcuts". Nice one Apple, you strike it again!
