I used to do these out of PVC pipe. And put a blowhole on it like a flute. If you put seven holes in the correct spot you can play scales including an octave.
@@da54177 I neglected to mention the size of the drill bit. Start with a small one and go bigger if you need to adjust the pitch. You will have to play around a little to get it right and then sometimes no matter what I do the notes may not be right. I think there are a lot of variables that affect the pitches including the window you cut out and certainly the airway. No two whistles are the same so be prepared for failure. I call my failure whistles, "The Warbler" and they are fun to play too. lol
Oh, my gosh! This is just what Ive been looking for to make for my g'kids! But don't you think the diameter is kinda big? You don't address this issue. Another thing; you might try some TITEBOND 3, not quite so guey, tracks just as fast, won't gum up your fingers(rolls off your fingers almost immediately. Your wood burner sure works fast! Mine is slower.
Very nice, great to have a hobby!
I always love it when there is a new video from you, you always show the most interesting things.😀
Thanks a lot Tom. I have a lot of fun doing these little projects
Love this project ( played flute through school), I'm gonna give it a try! Your wood burning is beautiful!!
Pretty neat! This makes me want to try to make a 4 hole ocarina.
Nice woodburning BTW. :)
Always enjoy your videos Tim. I look forward to the next one.
Thank you. I'm glad you watch my videos. See you next time.
Fantastic! Can’t wait to try and bushcraft one.

You're really talented. I love the touch of adding a bird. 💕
Thank you Niccho. Having fun over here
Like! 🥰
what hair saw do you use?
👍🏻
What brand of wood burning tool are you using?
It's called TRUArt Stage 2 Dual Pen Woodburning Detailer 60 W Tool. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for.
What is the diameter of the trilling hole?
You want to start small and gradually widen it until you hit the note you want, for both holes
@@da54177 That's right. I neglected to tell the size drill bit I used.
