    Thank you so much for sharing your story, especially for young people who think others are just confident all the time, it's important to know how much work we all have to do for our personal growth. My personal growth happens way later in life and I lived without taking responsibility for a long time. I graduated in my late 40s, separated from my husband and moved out with my 3 kids. I'm a working progress and at 55 I'm still trying to figure out what works for me and what makes me happy but this time I'm ready to put the work in it and find my routine for my own and my kids'benefit. Thanks again for being there and sharing your story xx

    That was wonderful of you to share your life with everyone🥰.I am sure there are young people out there that will not feel alone with their struggles after watching this. I am 59 years old, a retired nurse, and have been through so many struggles regarding food and eating. I am now finally at a point in life where I’m in the best physical shape and mental shape I have ever been in. I am passionate about cooking and preparing Whole Foods for my husband and I, and we are both passionate about fitness. Life will always have its ups and downs, sad times, and happy times, and is ever-changing. Adversity makes us stronger and mistakes are learning lessons. I can honestly say that life gets better with every passing decade. Thank you for all the wonderful content that you put out on RUclips, it’s very appreciated❤️

    Thanks for sharing so openly! Sometimes when we see people on YT who seem to have something all figured out, it’s easy to assume they always have had it figured out and never struggled to get there. The context you shared provided a welcome reminder that we are all on our own journeys, and YT offers but a glimpse into someone’s life. Congrats on the progress you’ve made! 💜

    I believe a good relationship with ourselves in terms of finding inner love and being able to have a good healthy diet come with maturity that we can surely have but need a little more to find self esteem and confidence. I loved listening to this sit down video.

    Thank you so much for being vulnerable and sharing your story! Lots of relatable pieces. I especially related to the phase when you said you were super interested in health and wellness, but weren't actually applying it in your life. I have been stuck at that phase for a long time, but have slowly started building habit largely inspired by your youtube videos. I love what you've mentioned in several videos... thinking about how the healthiest, happiest version of you would act and then showing up as that person everyday. I would LOVE to hear more about your spiritual practice and how that has shaped your story... I feel completely lost as to how to start a spiritual practice.. I do well with structure and spiritual practices feel so vast for me. :) Grateful to have found you on youtube, I really look forward to Saturdays!

      I think we have all had that stage of our health journey where we are super into health and wellness but don't know how to apply anything.
      I can definitely make a more detailed video about my spiritual practice and how it impacted my health journey. I can also talk more about balancing structure in my life while maintaining a more free-flowing spirituality practice.
      So grateful to have you here! 💚

    Ah this was great to watch as someone who is 22 years old & headed into their senior year of college! It sounds like you heard about naturopathic medicine at the perfect time in your own life, but I'm curious if you ever thought about taking time off after college before heading back to school. What were those four years like (e.g., courseload, schedule)? Aside from that, I would also love to see a video on toiletries/home products. I mainly look to the Environmental Working Group (EWG) which I believe is a United States org, but I'm always wanting to learn more about low tox reccomendations. Thank you for your vulnerability

    • @drclairelockridgend
      @drclairelockridgend  Месяц назад +2

      So i did not consider taking time off. I knew that coming out of undergrad I was still in "school mode" and that it would be hard for me to get back into it if I took time off. But with that being said I think that taking time off can be very beneficial, especially if you are not 100% sure what you want to do.
      The 4 years in grad school were a lot more work than undergrad. I was in 9-11 courses per semester. Basically in school every day from 9-5, then studying outside those hours. I felt is was a lot more work than undergrad (and that is doing my undergrad and swimming 25 + hours per week!).
      I can definitely make more content on lower tox toiletries/home products. I also love using the Environmental Working Group (EWG) database. The toughest thing I find is finding products that are low tox, affordable and actually work!
      Thank you so much for the comment!💚

Although I am much older than you at 48 I have realized that I never will be and I can’t force myself to be. However, I do also understand the importance of having at least a few steady healthy relationships. So yes, it would be nice to hear your take on making friends as an adult.

      Aww thank you so much for the comment! I truly believe that everything is working out in divine time! I am so glad that you like the content/ food ideas!
      For kids and teens the best milk alternative is going to be soy. It has the most similar macronutrient makeup compared to cow milk. I like the Soy milk from the brand Eden because it just has soy beans and water. Keep in mind that milk alternatives will have significantly less calcium than milk (unless fortified), so looking for ways to increase the child/ teens calcium will also be important. Hope that helps!
      Thank you so much for the comment!💚
