Tyler does indeed like boys IGOR was about a boy just watch the music videos. but i agree it was off putting seeing tyler lack empathy after seeing his friend in an unrequited love situation. especially considering his most recent album is literally about being in an unrequited love affair. and then he was in a position to soften the blow, and let him down respectfully, but decided against it.
imo i think their entire relationship was one sided. if you asked Tyler who his best friend is, Jerrod would have never crossed his mind.

I watched it following this and it saddened me. I really feel like he is so lost and just wants someone to love him. His parents not accepting him is weighing on him and then Tyler the creator not feeling the same way. I could see tears in his eyes, I could totally accept Tyler’s feelings he values the friendship and he does not want that to change, he sees him as a brother. Not sure if I can watch more as my heart hurts for him. He is such a sweetheart. As a mom I just want to give him a big hug ❤❤❤

I know that there are alot of different terms out there so maybe when the phrase "on the spectrum" was used in this video it means something different but as a parent with children "on the spectrum" there is nothing dumb about them, in fact they are "highly intelligent" but think and learn differently and "Tyler the Creator" is also very intelligent but think and learn differently so it is my hope that this phrase means something else in this video, also Craig is right, Tyler has stated that he is seen as "not black enough" by the black community so if he is gay( still haven't seen proof of that anywhere, he is good friends with Frank Ocean who was apart of his crew, and was there for him when he came out as gay but Tyler did not say that he was gay himself
tyler has never labeled his sexuality explicitly, but he's definitely made reference to having feelings for men (specifically white men) for a few years now
Tyler *_has_* labeled himself explicitly, for instance in that Rolling Stone interview when he said he was "gay as f[…]" - or the other several instances where he has used the f-word. Obviously there is a point to be made that he might be joking, but that's different from saying he's never used labels or explicitly stated his preference.

I agree with you and find so many things that Craig says offensive. For someone who claims to be educated, he is very ignorant. I just hope his comments do not hurt Maddie's brand. There is not a show that he is on with Maddie where he doesn't say something truly ignorant. Let me see: Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Telsa, and I believe one President is on the spectrum. All, I believe, attended or graduated from an Ivy League college or university.

I think the host is missing the point. Tyler the Creator has NEVER come out. He has joked about gay things, but has never said he is gay or bi--sexual. So, it's like an effort to bring him out of the closet and I don't think he wanted that.

Nothing against this podcast and others who have spoke on Jerrod but I really wish they would sit down and have a discussion with him regarding their feelings about his reality show and how he "exposes" himself on it. I hear alot of one sided conversations about him and this show without really saying they want to ask him ANYTHING.
To me that scene was contrived to have an excuse as to why he didn’t have any black love interest. “Well I tried to like a black boy” … he specifically goes after white men because that’s what he likes and he doesn’t want to speak on the reason why.

I have f*cked every color under the sun. I've had relationships with Black, Puerto Rican, and White men and women (not white women). You have to take people on an individual basis and if you have chemistry. I love being black, I know my history and the current state of things. I'm looking for a connection that's real, the color of someone's skin isn't a factor however how they relate to my existence as a Pansexual, cis queer black male is always at the forefront of any conversations of having a romantic relationship. I am very aware of power dynamics and how they can influence a relationship. I don't date one type of person exclusively that's boring, I think that's stupid and limiting for no real reason other than some weird loyalty to a social construct and system that doesn't work. You can't affect whom you love, it just happens. Everyone has preferences but there are always exceptions. I was never hurt by the black community or the church... I don't have that trauma. I don't understand why other people care who someone else is f*cking, does it effect you and your life in any way? Isn't that the argument we have for people outside of the community?

Having said all that I really appreciate the person's thoughts about seeking outside of the Black race - I can attest having grown up in the Pentacostal faith for sure. I think having intimate experiences with my black friends would not be looked upon well, so it was avoided like the plague. The place that I could be intimate and where much of my learning took place was with white people because there was not as much of the religious hang up. But simultaneously, there is a loss, when you FEEL like you are forced to disconnect from family and/or friends because of who you are. It's a lonely journey until one reaches inner peace to be.
