Jim, great video. I am just a fellow who is looking to do a couple of custom-sized cables. Cat 5, 6 or 7. what do I use? I am doing an outdoor setup going to use Poe injector, I am setting up a ring stick-up cam with a wifi extender. any advice you give would be greatly appreciated...

Hi Dave, the tester will test both unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and shielded twisted pair (STP). The "GND #9 light is testing the shielding on STP cables.

So what does it mean when one set of the test lights go one direction and the other set the opposite direction?
