That long jump was a pretty good result, yeah. I'm less familiar with javelin records but I suppose that was fairly absurd as well.

​@@MayContainLanguage They hold the event inside the track, so there was a worry that javelin throws might eventually leave the infield and hit the track, maybe even a runner or a spectator. (At the time of the game's release, someone had already managed a throw past 100 meters!) wish i could remember my bests. But i could cycle through all the events over and over. i do think it actually ended after like 9 rounds. but honestly i cant remember. i played it on the original Nintendo in 1987-88ish. I was like 12. at first i used a thimble but the fastest was when i used those black film containers with a grey lid that youd get with your developed film. i could max out the speed with it. i could do skeet shooting perfectly. archery id be surprised if there wasnt a few times i got 600 everytime. I just played it obsessively. Like punchout, zelda, super mario. One game i never finished was metroid. i dont think i owned but played enough to get deep in the game. And it got increasingly difficult. More so than any other game i remember playing during that time.
