I wish they had just kept it going because Beast Machines wasn't very good. How they had to learn how to transform and Megatron was a giant head thing. Plus they killed off a lot of characters. I missed Airaizor, Tigatron, Rinox (who was my favorite), Rampage, Depthcharge, Tarantulous, Dinobot, and more.
Fun Fact! The same actor who played Megatron in Beast Wars/Beast Machines ends up playing Optimus Prime in a future incarnation of the show PS Rhinox making “butt brownies” was the best moment in Season 1... minus Starscream’s cameo
Note that even Inferno was stepping away from Megatron when Rhinox was getting ready to let go. Seems there's one thing he won't protect "the royalty" from.
Missed the part of Tigartron's wisdom on accepting both beast and robot forms, to let them live and exist in harmony rather than trying to control the former and favor the latter.
I liked the older Megatron but still like this one. Older one wasn't afraid to fight as this one seems to hide behind somewhat ridiculous schemes that half the time go back at him.
Only question I really had as a kid is, why does a rhino have sharp, carnivorous-looking teeth? Edit: also, just noticed how Cheetor's voice actor also played megaman and his weapon sounds exactly like megamans plasma cannon. Nice little Easter egg!
