Kumihimo Japanese braiding technique

Kumihimo is the Japanese technique for braid making. Maybe commonly seen at its simplest to make friendship bracelets, more complicated patterns create beautiful works of art. Traditionally, it’s worked with silk threads, but many different kinds of threads can be used - embroidery thread is used in this video.
