Thanks, you mean a closer look at the mill machine? Or a farm tour? Very excited to get it finished up, couple more parts showed up so I can finish it this coming week.
This one was real fun because there was 3 leaks giving similar effects. I think you will still be pleased with the bill unless we have to go in for pto stuff.
Lol, young, mind like a steel trap! My wife looks at something like that and asks how I can put it back together when I can't even remember to grab my wallet off the top of the fridge when I leave the house
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin yep, that is why I told Shane he needs to bring that one up here because if I drive to his place I have to bill every hour that I'm there and it would have been several trips down at a large labor bill of just my road time. I threw more than enough hours away to pay the trucking.
How many pounds to the acre do you put down on that cover crop on corn!? Also is their a certain time to put that on then others, around knee high!? Would like to know more on that!!
Happy new year John. On my 4055 the hitch lever has a tight spot when I try to lower the arms then it kinda goes all at once any idea what would be causing this. It’s ok when lifting up but just near the top of the slide it’s hard to let arms down gently
Broken liner, new over haul at a different shop, at this point I don't think that they did anything wrong, things happen. Pretty nice tractor otherwise
Bad dry and then we finally got a good rain corn looks great for no N yet. They are to Y drop thi week. 1st beans are good and replant beans are just popping out of the ground. Over all a weird yearbut no complaints.
Its nice to find an agronomist that is open to a different way of farming!
Would love to see a mill tour Jon! Thanks for all the hard work on the Holst 4850 they’re gonna love having that tractor back in action.

@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 Tour of Petersons Mill like you mentioned, I think that would be great!!!
Oh that mill!! Yes. I will call and see if they would want to do something
@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 you speak so highly of their operation, it would be cool to see.
Yeah good people.
Thanks Jon for sharing! Man it's looking great! Working better than it has for years!!👌

Good luck with the cover crop!
I don't know how you remember that stuff, I have forgotten more than I ever known

Jon the tractor repair man... Always fun playing with hydraulic issues..
Ha, ugh, I wrote off a few hours to keep the bill in check. Diagnostic takes time, especially when you have 4 little leaks for the same symptoms
@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 ya, sometimes you have to bill the job, not the 40 hours extra time it takes...

Very interesting. 👍🙂
Thanks!

Going to do a lot of cover videos.
For my area the sooner the better, I would have liked to have the covers on at v3-v4,
40lbs total per acre mix.
@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754great to hear! I know I'm not to far south of you just on the other side of the border to the east!

Change your draft setting to the other end of the slot and see what that does
@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 an yeah ok. It is on minimum at the moment for the draft
@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 thinking about it was still tight with the draft on because I remember it bringing a pain letting the plough down
Jon what's that case in the shop for!?

Pretty nice tractor otherwise
@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 yeah could be a few reasons why, I've rebuilt a few because of cracked sleeves
Oh really. In JD very rarely ever hear of that.
Sometimes you have to stop and say that is as good as it gets.
yep, we want it perfect but to get there isnt worth it. how are you doing otherwise?
