I just framed out a 900 sqft basement using only this laser! Overall I like it. I was using the Bosch version (BSHNGLL3-330CG) for about 3 years prior but broke the mount to it and will sell it as is. This gave me the excuse and justification for matching battery platforms and phase out the few remaining Bosch cordless tools. I pulled my layout from the existing girder and joists-easy! The Pros: super bright laser (although the line is thick up close), very strong magnet 🧲 -it hugged a lally column firmly, laser position lock-for laying out something that’s not level, built-in micro adjust, and lastly-it’s m12! Cons: It’s bulkier than the Bosch, more expensive than the Bosch, accessories are extra $$$, and no Packout-come on Milwaukee!-at least make a Kaizen insert! Bonus: use it to mark out all the ceiling lights and fixture cutouts on the floor (just in case your drywall contractor forgets to cut one out)
I sprung for a Bosch version about two years ago...I was really apprehensive at spending money on a tool I wasn't sure I's use much...I've ended up using it a LOT. Tiling, hanging cabinets, etc etc etc...I will definitely check it out!

I got one of those. It's amazing. I accidentally dropped it off a lift about 5 feet up and it still works fine. I also got the ceiling grid attachment and the vertical micro adjuster attachment. The vertical micro attachment is awesome but the weight of the laser is so heavy that it pulls the plastic gear away from the track causing grinding when adjusting it. from what ive read is that when it is on and locked and doesnt run level if more for when you do have to doing something drastic like a hand rail so you can keep that line

1/4-20 threads. 1/4 diameter with 20 threads per inch. 5/8-11 threads 5/8 diameter with 11 threads per inch. A fine thread would be 5/8-18. 5/8 is the diameter with 18 threads per inch.
Micro-adjustment?! Locking pendulum. Might just think about switching to this from my Dewalt. I would just be disappointed switching to those annoying Milwaukee batteries. Dewalt makes their batteries so much easier to remove from the tool.

What are your thoughts?
Fun fact. The human eye sees more shades of green than any other color. Stands to reason it's more visible than the red everyone always used. It was highly realized with gun lasers and their visibility. Especially in natural light.
@Vince these work great outside with squirrels
Hello Sam, hope you’re doing well buddy!
Great content as always! Vcg!
Thanks ruffaccord, we appreciate that! 👍🏻
Cool update Vince Milwaukee all good with me 👍
Thanks Jamal, we appreciate it! 👍🏻
They are great we have been using them or others like it for a few years in building conveyors in the airports. But as a union millwright in New York thankfully I don't need to supply my own on job the contractor will even though I have 1 myself. The question is why don't they put their products in packout I'd be more likely to pickup full sets instead of bare tools if they came in packout
Leica Lino lg6 best self leveling laser tool kit in the business. But the Milwaukee is also great if you've already are on the red team platform.
Does this have a plumb setting? Ie. point on the floor and plumb point on the ceiling?
I love it vince but as always the m12 laser is only just coming in to the uk 🇬🇧 and at a price but I will say as a lot of other people saying why is it not in a packout come on Milwaukee get your tools in packouts as packouts ARE the BEST thanks vince stay safe 👍👏👏
5/8" - 11 (Threads pre inch)
Very cool Vince
Thanks for the video
What are you’re true thoughts on this Stephen, do you prefer the Bosch?
Look pretty nice, but what I been waiting on is a cordless roofing gun from milwaukee. Would it be possible for you to ask milwaukee if they are planning to release a cordless roofing gun, and if yes when would it be? Much appreciate and keep up the great content.
I asked them Joel, just waiting on an answer
How does it look outside?
1/4-20 threads. 1/4 diameter with 20 threads per inch. 5/8-11 threads 5/8 diameter with 11 threads per inch. A fine thread would be 5/8-18. 5/8 is the diameter with 18 threads per inch.
Be careful with how much you violently move that thing around without it locked you will have to have it recalibrated.
Works on a pendulum needs no calibration.
Micro-adjustment?! Locking pendulum. Might just think about switching to this from my Dewalt. I would just be disappointed switching to those annoying Milwaukee batteries. Dewalt makes their batteries so much easier to remove from the tool.
You have the 12v max laser, what don’t you like about it?
@@VCGConstruction having to keep swiveling back and forth, missing my mark. Need that micro-adjustment cuz! Also locking pendulum would be nice in case I need it. Only tried angling the laser up stairs once but normally always looking for level and plumb.
@@christophercrawford2736 The new Dewalt 12/20V laser has micro adjustment, no locking pendulum though which is a bummer.
@@ricks1231 i just saw that in another video. I’ll probably go with that one cuz I have tons of Dewalt 20v max batteries and only a couple of M12s(covered in engine oil and dirt)
@@christophercrawford2736 I here it’s a really awesome laser, I’d like to get my hands on it sometime.
Laser is nice, its bulky, debri gets in the magnets and its a pain to get out, i still use my PLS more,
I thought about this I have a Dewalt laser .The millwalkey is nice and all but the but is don't come in a pack out box .and dose not have a blue tooth turn off and on .so that you whould not have to touch the body of the laser ones it's adjusted .I don't know why they didn't think of those two things. So I don't think it's much of an upgrade to the Dewalt.
Are there 2 brackets missing in that case?
Where can I find the camera stand you were using
Does it come with the tripod??
How heavy is the laser??
Misterr siempre con las novedades para latam
@VCGConstruction Is the thickness of the beam adjustable or a function of its distance from target? I want one for hanging shelving, art, mirrors, but need a thin line to keep my drilled holes as close to level as possible. Also, thanks for the video…been wanting to see you review this one for a while!
The thickness of the bean should stay the same throughout its usable range within its tolerance. What are you using now to hang the shelves and art?
Vince where can I get that milwaukee safety glasses?
Is this laser level better than the dewalt version?
What, no ill tempered sea bass? No sharks? For shame Milwaukee!
It’s all we could afford, they’re on the endangered list! 🤣🤣
Box reminds me Of the Digital M12 Laser Levels @0:19 @Vcgconstruction
You have an eagle eye Antonio!
I have one digital request, Vince. Can you put the links to the best place to buy these awesome products in the description? Much appreciated and KUTGW!
If it only came in a PackOut case 🤦🏻♂️
Bonus!
I wish they offered this without the charger and battery to be more affordable
Good job there, Vince.
