      @@BritishGirlBakes Emily, I am so sorry to hear that I am really the only one whom has said such for your work! Especially as you have so many subscribers..... I had a tutorial account with RUclips on another email (not related to baking) and I'd hit the 300 mark for subscribers and wasn't stratified with the outcome. It wasn't subscribers but a community I realized I wanted to build, after much frustration. It was so much work for the tiniest results I was looking for. So I quit and was happier joining Facebook groups. However I do not know your goals, but I make sure to leave heartfelt messages or credit where credit is due on a video when I see one. Thanks for responding back, your channel has really remade me think about my baking in a fresh and creative way.

    Great tipps 😍 thank you! Do you keep the decorated cake at room temp until delivery/pick up? Or in the fridge? Can I let everything set and then put it in the fridge? Oder do I risk the drip moving further down? 😅 Thank you ❤

    • @BritishGirlBakes
      @BritishGirlBakes  6 лет назад +2

      I put the cake in the fridge when I finish decorating, and suggest refrigerating it until 4 hours before serving. But as long as your room temperature is moderate, not too hot, the drip should not move after it sets.

    I need some advice if you dont mind. If i want to cover a cake in sanding sugar, what do you recommend to do it neatly?
    1-spraying a fully frosted and chilled cake with water and rolling it over the sanding sugar.
    2-chilling a crumb coated cake well then put a fresh final coat of frosting before rolling the cake on the sugar?
    Sorry for disturbing you

    • @amnahmatloob1985
      @amnahmatloob1985 6 лет назад +2

      lamya elsayed I would recommend the 2nd option as the sanding sugar will adhere more neatly and easily. Also using water will cause the colours in the sanding sugar to run. Hope this helps!

    Are gel colors ok in melted chocolate?

    • @BritishGirlBakes
      @BritishGirlBakes  6 лет назад +2

      I haven't had a problem using them! I wait for the ganache to cool slightly before I add them and I try not to stir any more than necessary. I do find that if I reheat the ganache, I have to do it very gently otherwise it seizes, but this happens with or without gel colours added

    • @lamyaandadam
      @lamyaandadam 6 лет назад +1

      Gel colors are ok as long as you are coloring ganache (i.e after adding the cream to the chocolate) but if added to chocolate alone, it will make it sieze. To color chocolate you needy candy(oil based) colors.
