@@LeoPlaya Well, we were thinking of SOUTH OF CHRISTMAS aka SLAM mash-up, but this new one has now left us in a serious quandary, ha. Now we don't know🤣
I want to drink in a bar that exclusively plays McClintock on the stereo so that I can fully experience these masterpieces with a baffled and bewitched crowd in public.
Just get Bill to glue it back together with bits of another vase that looks completely different. It'll end up inexplicably better than the vases that it's made from.
Barry Gibbs squawking into the Slash solo, leading into the crosstown traffic cameo, to Boston solo, slowing to Leo. Magical and hilarious simultaneously.
Best moment is at 4:12 when we see Leo's silhouette. It's like he's decided to grace us with his presence to show us how it's done. "Hold my beer, Axl."
I started pumping my fist in the air and making devil horns when Leo Sayer showed up. that's not a sentence that's supposed to exist, but McClintock made it happen. there's nothing he can't do. incredible!
By far the best Medley I've seen here, a star-studded extravaganza, the more the merrier, even cameos of Jimi Hendrix and what looked like Rob Zombie and Boston. It all works so well stirred together...
All jokes aside, Bill McClintock sees and hears shit we cant comprehend or envision the same. Like who else could listen to GNR and go " Hey the Bee Gees, Leo Sayer, Boston, Jimi Hendrix and White Zombie all work together here with this!!"? That's a mad genius level of talent
Bill McClintock is the ultimate master of Mashups. McClintock must live in another dimension, he just comes to visit us to bring us these musical gems. Bill is the ultimate master.
I am truly awestruck, I can only say WOW! This one hits all the points of a true masterpiece! Bee gees, GNR, Leo Sayer, Rob Zombie and Hendrix all on the same track! WOW!
One of those times where I wish I could upvote more than once. As a musician myself, I can't say enough how well he puts all these songs together and the result is fantastic. Great job again!
The abrupt change from “Stayin’ Alive” to “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” as the main vocal block seems random, but, it fits the time, pitch and mood change in “Rocket Queen.” Perfection.
When I die, I hope heaven is an eternity of being at the Ritz that night and watching that perfect Gn'R concert. Over and over again! Love you Bill your suff is sooo good!! GNR4EVER
This time (at first) I really thought Bill was going to mess it up, but McClintock once again pushed all the right buttons and unleashed a mash-up full of fluid playfulness, liveliness and little surprises like Slash's perfectly fitting solo guitar playing together with the smooth, silky harmonies of the Bee Gees chorus and Adler's spot-on drumming (as if they originally were recorded/played live that way). Or the little inserts of Jimi Hendrix's “Crosstown Traffic” fade in/fade out and Leo Sayers' “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” were a really nice creative treat that spiced things up for the grand finale to cum. (Personally I wouldn't have needed or missed the "White Zombie - Thunder Kiss '65" inclusion - it was so brief that I even missed it in the first hearing, but it doesn't disturb either just being there) Bill McClintock is truly maturing into a genre of his very own self: "The McClinto'verse"! I heard a lot of mash-ups in my life, but McClintock's are something special. It always adds up to something and never takes anything away, and all together they're a whole. You listen to them, get thrilled, and it's never like one is missing something. It's something old, and you know the sources, and yet it's something very new and exciting - something “new music” couldn't make me feel like anymore for 20 years now. McClintock's creative mixings are not only something else, they seem to resolve into something very different. And I love it. Thanks Bill!!!
Who'd have thought 2 of these songs/artists would mesh so well together, let along six??? But if anyone can do it McClintock can. And he does it flawlessly! Another great job, Bill. Love it!!
This is a perfect hodgepodge. I was hitting puberty about the tine "Appetite" starting getting big; so of course MTV (along with a teenage live in sitter for my younger brother) turned me on to metal, punk, and hard rock. So "Rocket Queen" was (and still is) my favorite GNR record. I also had a very eclectic ear for all music. Being a metal head though you had to be more discreet around your buddies. You were listening to "Fernando" or "Waterloo" while screaming "Raining Blood" to throw them off. I absolutely love all three artists in this record, and am astonished at how well everything gelled. Bravo
Damit and Holy Begebus BILL ! How dare you throw that many hits at me all at once. GNR, Bee Gees, Zombie, Boston, Jimmy, Leo.... Man, I'm going to have to go change. That was so over the top awesome. I have no idea how you made that piece of art all fit so good.
@@benjimartinnc actually now I'm reminded that Dweezil Zappa did a shredding cover of Stayin' Alive, and he had a bunch of guitar heroes do solos on it. EVH is in there. Donny Osmond does the vocals. The intro (if you are of a certain age and remember "The Donny And Marie Show") is hilarious, Dweezil says "Hey Donny...why don't you do this one a little bit country?" And Donny replies "Shut up, Dweezil. Everyone knows I'm....ROCK AND ROLLLLLLL!" Haha The song turns the BeeGee's disco classic into a monster stomp of hard rock and works surprisingly well.
