It's probably the underwater sequences..idk why but whenever ppl watch an underwater scene they hold their breath like they're in the movie? Lol!!!! I actually caught myself a few times just recently when I watched a recent film and I was like YO WTF AM I DOING? LOL
He started making those crazy scenes on the sequel that John Woo directed. It’s the opening credit scene where Cruise is free rock climbing. That was amazing.
Tom was not rock climbing in that movie. Simple search reveals: Ron Kauk was the climbing stunt double for Tom Cruise in the 2000 film Mission: Impossible II. Keith Campbell, Cruise's main stunt double, performed the overhang stunt
I was already super hyped for MI: the Final Reckoning. But knowing this just makes me even more excited! I absolutely loved Dead Reckoning, Mission Impossible the Final Reckoning is definitely my most anticipated movie of 2025!
Yeah, this was the first major Mission Impossible stunt. Wasn't there an issue with the insurance company and this? I remember there being press coverage.
The 2nd MI, where he was rock climbing , and he jumped from one ledge to another , and THAT was a crazy time I remembered him doing away before the one in Dubai!
I'm so excited to see this movie. I think DR part one is not that great but not that bad either. I still think Ghost Protocol and Fallout are the best MI films for me. I think Tom Cruise is so crazy to do all of his dangerous stunts by own. I hope MI the final reckoning is better than the last one because the last one feel like missing something and makes the movie don't go well.
For some of us, the stunt with the exploding fish tank of water in the very first movie was the start of it. Except seemingly no one actually realises how dangerous water is, so people didn't bat an eyelid at that scene in the original.
he also did all the wind tunnel things for the end of that film dealing with the high speed train. That shot where the helicopter explodes and sends him forward crashing onto the train and almost into the camera, while things were comped together, he did that stunt. Getting launched in the air and landing on that train pretty hard.
The danger of executing the exploding fish tank stunt in _Mission: Impossible_ (1996) was vastly underrated. That was sixteen tons of water in there, and all the glass flying around could have really done them all some damage if it scattered the wrong way.
The only stunt he needs to do is with a wingsuit. He's being chased out by the bad guys on swing suits then come the eye of the needle. He makes it the others crashed. I want to see that scene. Insurance for this one is 100$M. 😮
I got it He’s on the roof of a plane the bad guys are in, the plane does a barrel roll, it flings him off, his friends are below him in a helicopter, they turn the helicopter sideways and catch him as he’s falling through the side
REBECCA FERGUSON'S ILSA FAUST CHARACTER THAT WE LOVED AND ADMIRED FOR MANY YEARS IN THIS FRANCHISE IS ALLREADY DEAD AND BECOMING A CORPSE 😣😣😣☠️☠️☠️💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫 , AND ALMOST DEFINITELY WE NOT GOING TO SEE HER AGAIN IN THIS UPCOMING MISSION IMPOSSIBLE FINAL RECKONING FILM 💔💔💔😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞 , THAT THE FACT THAT EVERYONE HAD TO KNOW ABOUT MISSION IMPOSSIBLE FRANCHISE ‼️😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
i mean... yeah? sorry, characters die all the time in these films. And it's clear she died in the last one, and Rebecca has said she chose to leave the franchise. Doing a big huge MI film keeps you busy for 1 to 2 years, but now she's able to do 3 or 4 different projects in that time. Loved her character though.
The last stunt that really worked was the Burj Khalifa in Ghost Protocol, in terms of them filming and editing a real stunt effectively so that it served the story and created some degree of immediate narrative tension. Rogue Nation was the opposite, the stunts weren't the spectacle but the script felt very galvanized and many sequences seemed very storyboarded in a good way (Like an Indiana Jones film) - from the whimsy of the Opera House to resuscitated slapstick Ethan in a high speed pursuit to Solomon getting trapped in a glass box - it was very charming but less the camp send up that Ghost Protocol could be. Fallout and Dead Reckoning built to and spot lit very static stunt sequences with zero tension and extensive coverage, almost like they were obligations... such as Tom hanging from a helicopter (surely he will fall) or parachuting off a cliff like a tourist with a gopro. They weren't engaging visually or narratively. Maybe these moments delivered in theatre but I find the action of the last two entries to be very dry, not to mention the drama is really hammy and convoluted - with a very serious tone - despite being paced too quickly to develop real drama, replete with flashbacks and awkward theatrics like Gabriel diving backwards off a moving train. I really want them to bring back style, energy and stakes to this next one. The money is always on the screen I just feel the series has been on autopilot. Final Reckoning definitely *looks* like more fun than the last two but I'm not holding my breath.
Not sure I entirely agree but I appreciate the counter analysis. Rogue Nation definitely had more of a spy film feel. All this spectacle has really sidetracked the series true origins. I guess it’s why I still like the very first one the most. That said I still very much enjoy the series.
Interesting perspective. Personally I think Ghost Protocol had the least story purpose for it's stunts. Still a great movie, but much more cartoony feeling than any of the later films. I felt the stunts were very natural to the story needs in Fallout in particular.
These movies already give me a heart attack….and i love every single minute of it!
The train sequence was amazing!

The craziest stunts he did was on the Dubai building in 5.
No the real deal started in #3. Tom had a stunt double in #2
@@shwonshWhat scene was it in part 3?
I LOVED the last M:I, and I am very hyped for this one! Tom's gonna go out with a bang!

Mission impossible 2 climbing the mountain
Yeah, this was the first major Mission Impossible stunt. Wasn't there an issue with the insurance company and this? I remember there being press coverage.
Hell…..yeah!!! Can’t wait and Super excited for this movie!!! Love these Mission Impossible movies!!!
The 2nd MI, where he was rock climbing , and he jumped from one ledge to another , and THAT was a crazy time I remembered him doing away before the one in Dubai!
💯 premium screen...indeed
I thought the knife scene stunt in MI2 was pretty crazy- it wasn’t huge, but it was incredibly dangerous
I can't wait for Mission Impossible: the Final Reckoning 🔥 I love MI franchise 💜
one that got me was when he was underwater. My lungs burn everytime I see that scene
Cant wait. Love the rollercoaster feeling while watching a movie.

Loved Dead Reckoning, this is great news. Along with Superman & Michael, M:I 8 is probably my most anticipated for 2025 🔥

Dead Reckoning was my top one to two films of 2023. It was either that or Godzilla Minus One
Dead reckoning was certainly very good.
The motorcycle cycle sequence was underwhelming considering how much it was hyped up
This Got Me Hype

Good
Insane yes
Me l hope this is do better box office see
MI:2 is so underated!
I got it

grant gustin as Ethan Hunt would be a great casting ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What's up with John doing a video call? Is he not feeling good?
He was in Vegas for Business reasons
I see.
“Business”
Tom cruise is relentless in Hollywood you have to be to survived.
I wish l one test people watching
I assume “ To top himself” does not have the same meaning in the US as it does elsewhere?
I hope this one be better last one
MI movies are built around the single action scene that is going to throw people off and build a movie around it.
Yep he addicted to I t
Well if you are scared of heights and everything then you getting panic attack
Mi 2

He well died doing stunts
Yes he has death wish
I don’t trust what studios and/or people in general say about a movie. Didn’t Cruise say that the movie “the Flash” made him weep? Really? 😂
You didn't weep after watching the Flash? My eyes bled.
The flash was great tho
He was obviously a big fan of Christopher reeves
I loved The Flash
@@DanielBlake-xc7mm not. He’s a Cage fanatic. What could have been…
Just wait l see it l might think christopher Mcquarrie is wrong
lol uncharted 2 did the train sequence better
This man, TOM CRUISE has nothing to prove!!! Does he have a death wish sacrificing himself to a movie stunt??!!! I wish he would stop this!!!
I don't about christopher Mcquarrie say I don't know l don't trust him was lazy last one l he did better one this
This film should have ended a long time ago 😂
He well died doing stunts
