Top work mate.. I have the same car and avin 4.. great combo.
You can get the pdc control also coming up in cluster.. and with mine I did the avin e46 rear camera.. I should have got the forward camera too but thought nah.. then I find out it does lane departure and forward collision..
This Avin unit's transformed my car.. steering wheel controls customizable.. works for phone or music apps.. everything. Love it

How do you make the reverse comunicating with the eonon? I have the canbus installed the wheel controls works fine but it's not showing up anything when i put it in reverse
Evan, this is a great video. Super thorough and helpful.
I do have to ask, though --- I've installed HID headlights with angel eyes and a towing hitch on my F30 diesel, so I have some minor experience tinkering with electrical. Both of those upgrades provided huge upgrades to the functionality of that car.
Sure, I'd like PDC on my E46, but you guys are in this car up to your eyeballs just so you don't back into someone while parking. Did you ever ask yourself whether it's worth digging this deep?
Yes it’s worth it for me since I want to keep my car forever and I want all the factory features. But yes at times I say the same thing I’m up to my eyeballs.
Hey what head stock unit is that? It looks like your running an android one but it looks identical to the stock e46 nav head unit
It is not a stock e46 nav. It's an android head unit which has the looks of an OEM nav head unit
Hi I have PDC with speaker beeping, if I buy bmw multimedia screen will I be able to see sensors as on this video
Did you have to add the module to the vehicle order? I got mine installed. It does work. But when I scan the vehicle it skips the PDC module (grey in the module tree). Only when I select the module I can read the codes. It also report codes wheb I disconnect sensors. For some reason it does not show op in the module tree as an active module.

Of course this comes up after ECStuning has no eta on another batch lol, I wanted to do this so bad on my sedan lately. I’ve started adding all the options my car didn’t come with lol

Awesome video! I have a 2006 330ci ZHP that I'm looking to do this on. Do you know what part I will need for the sensors to go inside the M-Tech II Rear Bumper? Also, do you have any advice on where to find the entire kit? Everywhere I look says no longer available

Can you have the parking sensors and the back up camera at the same time with the Avin nav radio?
Yes you can, so the back up camera will kick in with the over lay out the parking sensors in a smaller image. I should have shown that in my video

How you get the obd and pdc mode ? Or does the Radio come like this ?
I had to buy an ibus adapter for the PDC and OBD mode. If you don’t it will just beep unless you have the factory Nav

Let me see if I can find a pdf for the touring. I bought the retrofit kit off eBay from someone in the U.K. was selling it. But stupid me forgot they drive on the right side so all the cable lengths were wrong.

Give me a couple I will send you the link on how to code them. You will need inpa/ncsexpert installed. I have a video on that called how to code your BMW
you can test the module. Without the sensors connected, you should get a 5 second beep from the gong when you first put it in reverse. You should also be able to diagnose the module with INPA. And if you add $508 to your VO, you can (and should) code the module with NCS Expert
@@EvanGoyuk I didn't connected the 12v to the gong yet, but the oem trim in the bumper and all 4 sensores are already installed, so, if I want to test the pdc module can I just take of the socket that leads the wires to the bumper or I need to disconnect the sensors individually?
So, if everything is OK if I put in reverse I should expect a beep?
I've tested the gong with a battery and some terminals and everything is OK
