    Great informative video!
    I have a question! How did you connect the PDC and gearbox? Or is it ON all the time? Thanks 😊

      Hi! The module is getting power supply via the taillight when you put your car in reverse. Cheers

    Great work! But have you protected your 32mm hole from rust?

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  3 года назад +1

      I applied a healthy coat of grease with anti-rust properties to the rubber seal covering it, it should be sufficient for this non-exposed area.
      Cheers

    I saw that there is also a version with a switch is it much different from this one or the only difference is the on/off switch?

    Hi,
    On my wiring loom from the pdc x300 the pin 26 - black-green and pin 6- blue-yellow .So which on is the power ? Do I have to move the blue-yellow from 6 to 26(instead of black-green) and then solder it to rear tailgate?

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  3 года назад +1

      Hi, you need to solder both the cables coming from PIN 26 & 6 to the taillight, as described in the video.

    The gong on the retrofit kit is a separate unit but on the originally installed PDC is it not using the gong in the driver's footwell?

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  2 года назад

      Correct. They made an easier design for the retrofit kits, to avoid wirings from the trunk to the drivers footwell.

    I am having some trouble with mine. first off my PDC Module has a yellow connector not a purple one. it was removed from a e36 compact, and when I wire everything up theres nothing... any ideas? everything was second hand so yes something might be broken and I am yet to get it checked. also where do you get your wiring diagrams from?

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  4 года назад

      Hi!
      The diagrams are coming from the official BMW documentation.( "Electrical troubleshooting manual")
      I would suggest to start with the basic troubleshooting, i.e test power supply to the PDC unit, check the wiring harness, test the speaker gong, test the sensors,... . Alternatively, check out the 'BMW E36 PDC EBA', it's the official BMW retrofit manual.
      Good luck!

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  Год назад

      These were from ECD Germany, but there are other options if you look with the original part number.

    Is it necessary to use a PDC bumper carrier? Can I use the original to punch holes?

      @maxnugteren4837 Год назад +1

      You can use the original, just drill some holes and its almost the same!

    Can you give the pdc sensor mmufacture numbers or brand, or where you purchased those items and the wiring harness please.

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  4 года назад

      Hi!
      These are genuine BMW parts, you will find easily used retrofit kit on Ebay containing all the parts (the harness is not available from BMW, so it has to be purchased second hand). You can still find the sensors new from BMW or aftermarket, there are a lot of different brands. (Part number 66218352137)

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  4 года назад +4

      Hi!
      There are two versions:
      - The PDC fitted by BMW during the production, which uses the Gong located under the steering wheel.
      - The PDC retrofit kit sold by BMW which uses a separate Gong located in the trunk (the one used in this video, and the easiest to install)

      This is original BMW equipment offered from factory (for E36 purchased with this option) . All the parts are still available at the dealership, or you will find second hand retrofit kit easily on Ebay.

      Vous parlez français c’est parfait, enfaite j’ai énormément de question. Je vais bientôt me procurer un kit complet comme vous mais il manque certaines pièces comme la visserie, les rivets et le « bumper carrier support ». Je pourrais avoir les références ? Et il y a pas un boutons près du levier de vitesse ? Parceque quand je marque PDC E36 oem button sur RUclips il y a une vidéo où une personne possède un bouton d’origine

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  4 года назад

      @@Tayfun677 Le plus simple, c'est d'utiliser votre numéro de chassis sur realoem et de trouver la bonne référence. Certains pièces peuvent changer en fonction du modèle, et de l'année. (www.realoem.com/)
      Les riverts sont standards (BMW 51111944537). Petite remarque : vous pouvez percer votre support de parechoc actuel, ce n'est pas spécialement obligatoire d'acheter le support spécifique pour le PDC.
      Il n'y a pas de bouton pour enclencher/désactiver le PDC. Ce bouton n'était disponible que sur les séries 7/8 de l'époque, et n'est pas d'origine sur la E36. Le système se met uniquement en route lorsque la marche arrière est enclenchée.

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  4 года назад

      There is no PDC button on the E36. It's possible to wire one, but it's not OEM.
