Does using brioche bread and normal bread make a big difference?
No u can barely taste the difference i personally use Hawaiian bread loafs but there's really no difference.

I just made this this morning and this recipe is EVERYTHING. She was not kidding--restaurant level french toast. I was so surprised I was eating something this good at home. I added maple syrup, greek yogurt, sliced banana, and chopped toasted walnut to mine. I was in heaven.

I'm from Belgium and my grandma always makes them 😻 she has 2 plates, one with whisked eggs and one with milk. Then she soak the bread slice in the milk, then in the eggs, and then fry them in butter 😁all my childhood

November 28th is National French Toast Day! I always surprise my staff with this treat in the morning. I have my "own" special recipe. *cannot be on a diet & must be 21 yrs. old* to enjoy! I can hold back on the "spiked" Maple syrup though. LOL!

Literally just bought brioche bread from Trader Joe’s and said I wanted to make French toast. They’re great to freeze too! You make this look absolutely incredible! I had no idea about that bourbon maple syrup though. Need to get my hands on that!

Just made this! Didn’t have maple syrup extract but used a couple tsp’s of maple syrup and used lactaid 1% instead of whole milk and they turned out delicious! Definitely be careful on how much you soak your bread unless u wants a super duper moist one :) regardless, delicious!
