No matter the livery, it's always great to see the 44s in action. The final scenes with a pure lash up of 4 of them are priceless!!

It's amazing how far you can hear the rumble of an EMD to be honest

For a defunct locomotive company, Alco diesels have stuck around quite tenaciously. It's cool that Australia still has a decent number of their six-axle Alco's left.

The 44s are great to see in action, but the scene at 8:40 steals the show for me.

Tidied up 4471 nicely after its badly faded state rail ? paint job..
    JL406 looking pretty sad..
4488 looks "pretty" in that colour scheme..
4463 needs a bit of TLC..
Great compilation Bevan thanks for the upload :)

The cabs at the rear of the 44 class, are they a fully functioning cab for every day use, or just used for shunting?🇦🇺

    I think there are four 44 classes diesels operational for QUBE (4458 / 4477 / 4488 and 4497)

Where was the shot at 2:34 taken?

I spent about 6 hours on that footbridge in 2009 (opening shot) and was rewarded with two trains :-(
    I'll check my photos, but I think one was a 44 😃
