U can get ASTC bus from the ASTC bus stand at Paltan Bazaar Guwahati or u can book online at Redbus or MakeMyTrip...its definitely much cheaper than taxis n other cars...190 rs only...n about hotels, u can check online at Booking.com or MMT or any other app.

No there are no deluxe buses from Guwahati to Shillong...this bus that i took was actually AC only but it doesn't have the full features of a deluxe bus though...this bus costed me 190 rs

ASTC bus stand is just along the boundary of the railway station...u can literally walk from the station n it will not take more than a few minutes... as far as the timing is concerned there's only one bus that runs daily and it is at 8 AM... although i can't tell exactly if timings have changed after the pandemic.
My bus timing was at 8 AM... otherwise buses are actually less frequent in this route...like there was only one bus at 8 AM from ASTC Guwahati...u can check bus timings on Redbus or Makemytrip apps....Shared taxis are actually much more frequent than buses, but definitely cost more. Although no buses are running now...but when they run, there are merely a few bus timings only...like at 8 AM and the second one was sometime at noon, as far as i remember!

The hotel Latei Ville Inn is really good...good rooms n hospitality...my room was for 600 rs (breakfast included)...so for that price in Shillong, it was really good...bcoz hotels in Shillong are in general quite expensive, especially for single people.

It is just adjacent to the Railway station...u can directly go through one overbridge at the station...it will take less than 2 minutes.
