I just cleaned a stainless steel wok that I purchased in a second-hand place for $1.99. I checked the internet before I purchased it and it was valued at $289.00+tax, so I would say that it was well over $300.00. I brought it home, used your technique and it looks brand new! Thank you so much for generously sharing this tip! I now have a $300,00 wok that I paid $1.99 for!
For ppl asking how much baking soda and how much water...I mix 1/4 cup baking soda per half gallon water I use. The amount of water you'd use depends on what you're cleaning. It's important to keep the water scalding hot, allow the dirty item to sit & soak for 3 minute intervals the more you take item out of the solution...the longer it'll take to get clean. This is not by any means the "easy way" you will still need to do some scrubbing. Hope this helps answer some questions
this actually work.. i put 7-8 tsp baking soda into the hot water, and do the same as the lady did for about half an hour lol.. it didn't take out the grease completely so i change from using the aluminium foil to the regular stainless steel brush and brushing it off for about 5 minutes and boom! it is clean af!!
It’s really works I think my pan’s were gone but after trying this it turns awesome I tried this twice to my stubborn pans now it’s look like new one Thanks for sharing this
Thank you so much. I was making dinner tonight and trying to watch my kids in the process. My pot began to burn and I found your video and my pot looks good as new. I did add vinegar to it.
I'm back 😁 The bottom of my pot looks a lot better but not completely clean, guess I'll need to give it another go. I however used the aluminum foil on my taps in the kitchen and they look brand new.
I jumped out of bed to try it. I have pans worse than you. Bless you for sharing. Bless you. It works very well. I read Easy Off works too. Maybe I will try it on big flat baking pans. I 😘😘😘😘😘😘you. I just subscribed.
Wow thank you alooooooooooooot and a lot I just tried it right now and it really worked magically ..my cooking pots are shiny more than new .. I just mixed some hot water and baking soda and dipped the aluminum foil ball in it and scrubbed for 2-3 mins .. 😃😃😃😃
It is great. It really works i saw this video this morning and after trying so many other ways I can really say THIS WORKS ..... thank you for this video my pots look like new. Thanks 😊
Wow. Wonderful. Thank you so much for your tip. One Suggestion - can you tell us how much backing soda to be added and how long we need to boil the water, etc?
I once learned to use aluminum foil to scrub off the rust of bicycle chrome and the reason why aluminum is metal is softer than chrome, and I think in this case stainless steel, it will not scratch the stainless and the baking soda work as mechanical abrasives and the hot water softens the grease.
Thanks for the idea.. I have always put the stainless steel pots in a plastic bag with some ammonia and left it overnight.... The gunk comes right off without scrubbing.
That was great!!! Thanks so much for sharing how to clean stainless steel pots and pans.I just picked up on a nice large Revere Ware pot and lid for $2.99 at the thrift store, and I did not know how to make it so clean. Again, many thanks!! 😆👍
in the Restaraunt we used a product called soilmaster hot water and a pie tin the aluminum foil or pie tin activates the chemical and the stainless would look new
A better way, the aluminum foil is not for scrubbing! You just need to have aluminum foil in the water with baking soda, the best way is to cover the inside of the bottom pot with aluminum foil, then put water and baking soda, and scrub with any spunge, this works miracles in taking the blackness off silver, you just dip the silver cup or tray, and just wipe off.
You can clean silver this way, baking soda, warm water piece of scrunched aluminum foil ,dip your silver for 1 min,no need to scrub, the tarnish will be gone.
A better way.... Set pan in a larger container filled with Ammonia don't get it on the non stick if it is coated. Set overnight or a little longer the ammonia will be black with bits of crud any tiny spots will come of easy with scrubber. I came up with this watching Katiescotti's clean gas stove burners. It works.
@@happyhomeandgardenjohndawne Sorry but I don't stand over it and breath it, use a large zip lock bag and zip it! This was 2 years ago, still ALIVE. Lol

Vinegar and salt works better.
Soak your pan in simmering white vinegar and salt for around 10 minutes and then wipe it off.
You can combine effects by mixing the hot vinegar with baking soda right before cleaning
