- I've been doing this for years, no harm caused with the mixture.
You can use any brand of white vinegar, baking soda and dishwashing liquid.

Bravo. No yapping. Foot tapping background music. She didn`t make it likr new, she showed how to degunk it folks. One can do the rest, she laidd the foundation for us;-) Thankee kindly Ma`am. I have 2 bake sheets that have gone unattended for too long while I have been unable to cook and clean. Cheers. Great video.
I have the same pan, from IKEA, very good pan! hateful Handel.
one thing, never use non stick cooking spray on these pans! only regular oil, or olive.
wipe pan out when still warm, and the rest of the instructions are right on!
cheers 🍾🍾🍾🏳️🌈
This wasn’t a cast iron pan. It was a nonstick coating. All the coating was scratched off. The pan needed to be thrown away. At this point it didn’t matter how it was cleaned.
MM
Yup, toss it! Unhealthy!
Season it
You need a new gridle...the non stick is worn off and dangerous that's why you have greater build up
Just add some water (not to much) to the pan, turn heat on high and watch the gunk boil off. Use pancake turner to help remove burnt on crud. Don't leave pan, water boils away quickly!
Exactly, and no chemicals or vinegar or bicarb, or enough dish liquid to do more than one sinkful of dishes, or anything else needed, if left to sit off the heat, while washing up other things, it keeps loosening, as long as it isn't left until quite cold when fat re-hardens. 1/2" of water is plenty. If the ribs in the pan are problematic, use an old hard toothbrush to get into the corners. Easily fixed.
First you put acid (vinegar) then you neutralize it with alkali (baking soda and soap).Whichever is working you best stay with that. Either the alkali or the acid.
That pan is ready to be replaced. The nonstick material is peeling off. You don’t want that to transfer into your food!
And it is warped as well. Thin piece of junk. Toss it.
@Dragomir Ronilac Teflon is best when kept at low-medium heat. Too hot and it burns, giving off fumes of 'questionable' safety. I like Teflon for eggs and omelettes, but for meat I use stainless.
Great tip. Now to solve the issue of spilling the grimey greasy water on the floor. 🤭
Any pot or pan . All you need to to is put it on stove get it back hot pour a little dawn in the pot or skillet ad a lili cold water like you was making . It will come of . With it so much muscle work . Try it .
Try it without the baking soda. The baking soda, while it looks really cool when it reacts with the vinegar, is neutralizing the acid in the vinegar. That just slows down the effectiveness of your vinegar.
Looks like the coating is off the cooking surface - time for new ??
Glass pans seem to always burn.... usually use hot water and small amount of ammonia. Removes it all. How you choose to clean, depends on type of pan.
By adding the baking soda you negated the acidic effect of the vinegar leaving you with just water and soap.
Exactly..... Stupid video.... Just use water and soap.... But doesn't look thus cool
Next time you buy nonstick pan use only wood utensils, it will save your nonstick
no kidding huh. Applying a solution that never needed to be a problem
Burnt food will take it off too.
Forget the vinegar and baking soda, those two just cancel each other out. People don't even know basic chemistry....acid + base = neutral. The dishwashing soap does all the work.
I thought everyone knew: baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) added to vinegar (acetic acid) simply results in a solution of sodium chloride (ordinary table salt). You get exactly the same results by using salt. I'm surprised some people don't understand this.
Simple just fill pan with cold water , and leave for 20 minutes....saves all that faff
Thanks for this, just doing it now, rest for 1hour
A little bit salt can be added too.. 👐🏽🙏🏼😊 where is Fabio... he should help you record it so you can use both hands 💕
Get out!!!! That's amazing! Thanks!!!
It's stupid you literally neutralizes vinegar making it useless just use hot water and dish soap.
After baking meat I place napkins in the pan an pour hot water on them after dinner cleanup is a snap
It's always vinegar...has so so many uses in household not just kitchen. 👍
The idea is good however throw away the pan as the non stick is worn out and the aluminium is dangerous 🙏🏻
When you add a base (baking soda) to an acid (vinegar) you neutralize it. You just diluted your vinegar even more
It’s actually the chemical reaction at work here. Not one or the other.
Thank you fo sharing your tip. I liked it.
Thank you 💕
That is cool for you city people but for us in the country we can’t do that. Better stick with cast-iron. It is better and healthier to
The easiest and simplest way is just to fill it with water straight after cooking and let the heat remove the grease. Then wash as normal and then season by heating on the stove
Pouring the burnt grease (with all the solutions you put in) into the sink won’t it clog the pipe(s), may be later on in the future?
Just wondering!
Vinegar and baking soda is one of the home remedies to unclog a sink 🙂 anyway, the sink has a grinder 🙂
lol so clean that it was a teflon coated pan turned steel!
Nice sharing stay connected
People forget that God invented oven cleaner decades ago ... Take pan outside and spray it and leave it for 45 minutes ...no need to waste electricity...
Spray? With what?
@@ivanerasmus1405 oven cleaner is sold in spray cans...buy at dollar general... Family dollar...wal mart...
suficiente con dejarlo en agua caliente y jabón.
Hot water and soda crystals,
Why didn’t you do the burnt bit by the handle?
You removed some of the coating from what I'm seeing
Just use the baking soda and warm water. Do not mix acids and bases.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with mixing acids and bases. But the result, in this case, is just salt water. Use salt instead!
You shouldn't pour greasy shit water down the sink silly, that's how drains get clogged. " DURR "
Don’t use on non stick baking soda ruins it, just use salt and dish detergent scrub rinse repeat
How can I do this with an oven bottom
Whole box of soda for 1 pan, steel wool pad cheaper
This pan soupse to be a nonstick you with the hard scrubbing you have done in the past all the bottom non stick layer have entered into your body.
Thank you
Thanks amazing abd easy
EXCELLENT 🥰👍👏👏👏
Looks like its removed all the nonstick
Does it work for Teflon pans?
I haven't tried with teflon, i don't have one
Fab. I will try that.
cast iron ?
Showing such a lengthy video with heavy background music. Simply add water and allow it to rest for ten minutes and clean with plastic dish cleaner. Posting such huge costly process is of no meaning
👍
Amazing! thank you!
A presentation without a *VOICE* .. is no presentation. 😕
If you pour that gunk down the drain and eventually need a plumber it is going to cost much more than a new pan.
Or just season the skillet , way easier than all that messing around
I think hers is Teflon not cast iron. You can see all of the toxic coatings has been stripped off in the middle.
Just put some foil over the pan
Buy a new Teflon pan - problem solved, unless you want to do this in this video every time you use it. Also, the vinegar is great for cleaning, due to it's acidity, but not when use with Baking Soda, which changes the acid level of the vinegar to a neutral base. Baking soda is an alkaline base. You can use it to clean stuff, but not with vinegar. It will defeat it's purpose, making the PH very low for the vinegar. I would use vinegar first, then use baking soda as sand paper later, after a rises. This video is so misleading and should be removed from RUclips.
or here,s one dont let it burn
I known a barbie, just dying to take the test.
Non ce niente da salvare ormai padella rovinata è già ora comprare nuova
Thank you very much
The nonstick coating has gone!!! After how many years was it cleaned? 😅
It's cleaned every after use. I don't let anything stay in my sink even an hour 🙂 It's leftover/burnt sauce whatsoever btw 🙂
@@FabioLousLife If that really is a non stick coating that has rubbed off, you should throw the pan away. That coating is toxic.
@@FabioLousLife You don,t understand...you are eating the teflon and also the aluminiun that in hot temperatures is also very toxic...do you know that hot aluminiun is behind the alzheimer?and this coating also is very toxic...trouw away please if you love your health...
@@FabioLousLife but is good way to clean, this ok...but trow away...
Copy that 🙂
Maybe just season it properly, just a thought.
Poured grease down the drain so someone would have to deal with that problem later. 🙄
Please in your next video stop trowing away water.
Begor you can't beat the steel wool
It's cheaper to buy new one. Less hassle
30 min ? Lepiej na noc zostawić
Imagine letting your pan getting like that must have stank when it was on watery eyes
"spare not a bottle of coke and scrape the grease to obliteration".
- some dishwasher, probably.

It's clean from the start. It's burnt marinade 🙂

Seek the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ before it's too late. John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Hell is real and Heaven is also real. You don't want to spend an eternity in Hell torment without God. The only way to escape Hell is to follow Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour. Study the KJV Bible to know more and pray and seek until you find Jesus. Don't delay tomorrow might be too late. You are mot promised even the next minute.
It looks like it did a great job to me! It’s not a matter if you should discard the pan, it’s showing how you can clean it when it’s really a tough looking pan to even get it clean.
Thank you
If you do this with a cast iron pan, as shown, remember to reseason it afterwards. See all that shiny metal after sponge-cleaning? That's raw (unseasoned) cast iron. Personally, I've found that just cleaning with a handful of kosher salt and warm water, and a bit of elbow grease, will clean the worst of the burnt-on grease away without damaging the seasoning to the point that I have to reseason the pan. The method shown in the video, though, might work well on non-cast iron cookware.
Please don’t use that pan. The non-stick coating is gone from the center (possibly due to your use of vinegar and baking soda). Once the coating starts to chip away it needs to be thrown out. It’s very unhealthy to eat something cooked on that:
Season it
Why thrown out? Season it!!!!
@@SUE_GCREER it wasn’t a cast iron pan. If it was you could season it. It’s a coated pan (probably aluminum) and needs to be thrown out. I work with cast iron and I recondition cast iron as a side gig. This was not cast iron and continuing to use it is dangerous and can cause cancer
@Angie Brooke do not use easy off on a coated pan. It will ruin it
@Angie Brooke for coated cast iron, use baking soda mixed with water to create a paste. Don’t scrub it, just slather it on the coating and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then use a wet paper towel to wipe off, rinse, and the discoloration will be gone. For the inside of the pan, fill it with water and set it to boil. Once boiling turn off the heat and add a cup of baking soda. Let it sit for 30 minutes then rinse and clean with a paper towel. You have to rinse it twice to remove the white film from the baking soda but anything stuck to the surface should come off
I wouldn't have poured all that greasy water down the sink. Best way to clog up your drains.
that really wasnt grease, it was simply baked on food ...
Where would u pour it ?
@@NATURALMYSTICMK
I'd put in a container and take it to a regulated disposal unit where it can be disposed of correctly. We have them in the UK.
Thats a big procedure for getting rid of some neutralized grease.
If ur that worried, pour it all in a freezer bag, seal it and throw it in the trash. Ain't nobody taking shit to a "disposal unit" to throw out some fried chicken or bacon grease...lol
Boiling water and washing up liquid, leave for 1/2 hour rinse with hot water and sponge off!
I use boiling water and washing up liquid for a burnt pan I use salt and boiling water and leave over night
@@lynnescaddan8919 I've never need to use elbow grease I just wash with hot soapy water it's best if you put salt plenty and boiling water as soon as the pan burns and it's hot
Soap on cast iron? Are you crazy?!
@@MsApril29906 I never said on cast iron I don't possess a cast Iron frying pan or skillet as you Americans call them, I ment on a stubborn baked on pan. Regards from the UK 🇬🇧. PS if you watch the video, the person puts washing up liquid, white vinegar and baking powder in the pan which to me doesn't look cast iron anyway so I suggest you call them crazy and not me thanks.
@@Bonzman 😅😅
Worked perfectly. And it took the finish right off too.
🤭
I was taught to never put acids in cast iron or carbon steel. It won't hurt the pan but you'll lose all that great seasoning you've built up over time and have to start from scratch again by giving it another initial seasoning.
I’m not a professional dishwasher, but wouldn’t it make sense to let it soak in warm soapy water immediately after use and then wash it with the rest of the dishes after eating?
Correct. That's what I usually do especially with stubborn burned grease in the pan. Sometimes when food materials are stuck together with the grease, I just boil some water using the same pan and apply a bit of dishwashing liquid, then after it cools down, I'd scrape off the grease and food waste with either a steel wool or a sponge. It usually does the trick.
Give it a heavy coat of oven cleaner. Cover it with a trash bag so it doesn't dry out. Come back in 30 minutes and rinse it off. All gone.
Too much mess around. Just put water and boil let sit for few minutes and its done!
exactly what I do
Hack for hiding tattoes? Ugh! Body graffiti.
Pure fat down a sink eh no thanks think about love
Generations ago, add very hot water to pan (if pan is hot) add baking soda, simmer a bit and you get the same thing. Or add any vinegar (not a lot, you can tell) while hot (keep low flame) use utensil to move liquid around and it comes off. This is called de-glazing. De-glazing comes in handy to use in sauces. The old saying: What's old is new.......again.
IT'S OLD DIRTY AND NOT HEALTHY PAN....LOST GEE MINUTES OF MY LIFE FOR MALAKES
1. Who let's their pans get to that state and still use them?
2. That looks like my IKEA griddle pan.
3. I add water with a little dish soap and leave it on the stove top with heat while I'm eating.
4. If it is an IKEA griddle pan it should not have a shiny stainless steel look after cleaning.
5. What about the rest of that pan - the handle area: underside?
It's not something I will need to try any time soon
Not a good idea poring grease down the drain
This is something unavoidable. I hope u understand
I have a similar non stick Ikea pan which still has full coating but I no longer use because the black coating has thinned and is almost unhealthy to use. It's a health risk to continue using non stick pan with disintegrated coating. With moderate use, pan like this only last for 5 years.
season it
Then call a plumber
Should have heated mixture to a boil would have reduced time greatly
Hot water and detergent does the same. Pan however is not worth cleaning
Vinegar and Backing soda can canceled each other out depending on the ratio.
Hmmm
I usually use the hot water method. Once it heats, easy to clean. Som
You dont need to use anything else than dishwashing liquid, pour some dishwashing liquid fill with water let it sit few hours and wash gently after that. Why you are making it so complicated.
