Well done. To increase the effect, I suggest to put the pan into an old plastic bag after spraying. Keep the bag tightly sealed. This will keep the cleaning agent moist throughout the process.
Oh I just said same lol... should have read comments x
My aunt has some really expensive pans my uncle got her as a gift. They came with a lifetime warranty and she could even call the company and ask them to come clean the pots. It's was crazy, but what the guy would do is heat the pans up and then use easy off to let it soak for a bit and lightly scrub the pans and then just rinse off everything. He only did it once and they looked brand new.
@la stoner ganja
With some companies, if you clean the pans yourself you can make the warranty nullified. So It makes better sense to let them come clean ur pans as you have paid for that service, as much as it seems ridiculous!
What brand
When you use oven cleaner put the pan in a plastic bag overnight. You can save a lot of elbow grease.
Thank you for sharing
This comment should be pinned imo.
Or you can put cling wrap over it so it doesn't evaporate off of the surface. I do this with cast iron pans when I am restoring them...
ammonia in a black glad plastic bag - oit whatever you want to clean in the bag and overnight the fumes of ammonia will breakdown all the grease - all you have to do in rinse it off you will be amazed
Beverly must have had a good tip.
Many agreed w/ her.
Unfortunately she said Do, but not Why.
Fortunately others did.
So now we know what to do, and just as importantly, Why it works. Thankyou ...
I used to do this for my gas range top burner grates and drip pans too. Works nicely there too.
I was trying to claim an aluminium muffin pan so couldn’t use oven cleaner. The put into the freezer overnight and getting the baked on food off was so much easier. I also used baking Soda mixed with water and a few drops of dish detergent and let that bubble away. Scraped of more with scouring pad and then I put it in the dishwasher . That did the trick. I also purchased silicone muffin shape and use them in the pan.
I have done this for years. It works every time.
Memo to self: keep pans clean and shiny from Day One. Thanks for sharing ‘cos I never do.
This stuff is awesome for cleaning the glass on your fireplace or woodburning stove if it has glass. We tried everything from steel wool pads, simple green, to using razor blades to scrape the gunk off the glass. Easy off works that miracle every time.
I use a moistened paper towel & dip it in the ash in the stove. Works for me!
Hard water stains on shower doors too! Let it sit for a few minutes then screen with the abrasive side of a sponge and the glass will be clear again.
@@mairwaugus5203 I agree, that's what I''ve done for years to clean the glass doors on my fireplace. I take a wad of newspapers, moisten with water, then dip it into some of the ashes from the fireplace. The ashes are a bit abrasive and works well to clean off the crud on glass doors. Finish the doors off with some Windex Glass Cleaner.
@@marybirder5663also the Hardwood Ash reacts with the water to give an alkaline solution of Potassium Hydroxide, similar to the oven cleaner which is usually Sodium Hydroxide amongst other things.
Hey - I find heating the pan (or oven to 250) first then applying the Easy Off makes such a difference. Works in about 20 minutes that way. It will put off some fumes so do it outside or with the exhaust fan on.
He used the fume free easy off, it doesn't have any smell but I recommend using googles and face mask just to be safe.
Thanks Evan
@bhappy8892 I have numerous face masks but where can I buy the googles that you recommend? Lol
Thanks for the heating tip!
This works for your router bits and saw blades too. It removes burnt on tree sap and sugars from wood.
Very satisfying to watch it gets clean.
I use baking soda made into a paste with some water. Put it in a bag to keep it moist overnight. Takes a bit of scrubbing, but it's way less toxic.
Exactly 💯
A dash or two of sea salt will help as well.
I find using dishwasher detergent dissolved in enough water to cover the pan and left over night works well too. I do this with my oven racks left in the bath tub overnight. They come out squeaky clean with no scrubbing.
when I was working in restaurants I used to find the biggest pot that would hold the item to be cleaned, fill it with a mix of oven cleaner (liquid kind) and water, put the item in and boil it for a few hours. My items were usually stove tops, grills fryer baskets, saute pans...
I assume that was under a powerful extractor cough cough lol!
@@jay71512 exactly
Easy Off works great on glass baking dishes, and ceramic stovetops.
I bought all the cleaning materials you recommended. But when I got them home I remembered I don’t even own cookware. So that was 30 bucks down the drain. Thanks a lot
Those of you who wear contact lenses, beware, the Easy Off aerosol droplets can get behind your lenses and do to your eyes what it did for the pan.
That’s so true, I face I’d wear goggles if using and I’m not a lens wearer.
If that happens, just go with it, as you are doing everything in life wrong. Seriously?
Seriously? I wear contact lenses and have been using Easy Off all my life without a problem (that I’ve noticed, anyway). Please explain…
That's okay, I always wanted my eyes to look like the eyes of Raiden. 😆
Yes yes Yes!! Praise the lord someone got it right ✅ 🙏 I would do this outside because of the fumes . and ❤ put in a plastic bag for a while . and try the same method with glass casserole dishes too.
You can spray it with easy off and then place it in a plastic bag. Tie the end of the bag off and you can leave it over night. I've found used a 3M scotch brite pad has been really good for my stainless All Clad pain.
I'm gonna go ahead and do this.
Put sprayed pan in a plastic bag, tie it shut then leave overnight. You can do this with oven racks also and it works great.
The plastic bags are the best. Plus you just throw the whole mess away
@@dittohead7044 thanks I'll do that, AND I'm going to do this all outside. I hate the toxic chemicals in my house!
To which I would add, use only the low-odor BLUE-label Easy Off, as shown in the video. Do NOT use the much harsher YELLOW-label Easy Off. I made that mistake once and permanently damaged the finish on stainless steel.
I used the no odor and did it outside.
Okay. See i fucked mean up with the yellow one DAYUM
Every time I use a pan, if I am not going to clean it right then and there, I set it in the sink and fill it with liquid detergent and hot water and put the lid on it. Then, when I have the energy to scrub it, it's easy to clean. If I burned something, I soak it for a few days and then bring out a Brillo or SOS steel-wool pad. I scrub the bottom every time I scrub a pan.
I learned this trick from my first landlord who provided excellent cleaning instructions to avoid cleaning fees. All of the stove parts, top and interior were put in a garbage bag, and then you liberally sprayed EasyOff into the bag and closed it. After sealing, you take your hands and smush everything around. Leave it overnight and come back the next day and wash with a mild abrasive pad, if needed. In this way you can clean ALL your dirty pans at once. Spraying into the bag helps contain the fumes, and the EasyOff gets on everything. It works great.
Amazing result
You can also use non abrasive cleaning cream for stove tops when the pan isn't as burnt up. It works really well with the steel wool and doesn't have the nasty fumes and doesn't need hours to soak.
Which cleaning cream do you recommend
@@bhappy8892 Isn’t it lovely how they left this recommendation without providing any product information?
@@kaylynn.alexia right! That is so disappointing
Are we allowed to use harsh scrubbers on glass/induction hob pans? Because tiny scratches on the base caused by these harsh scrubbers will scratch the induction hob surface surely?
Doh! And all the time been using baking soda and vinegar with lots of elbow grease.
Wash smarter, not harder. 😁
I always use baking soda, and vinegar also, but a paint scraper helps a lot.
@@kathyliin8438 Baking soda ( a base) + vinegar (an acid) neutralise each other to produce a salt + C02 + water. Use either one alone but if you mix them the result is ineffective. Basic chemistry.
Just a question.
Does a dark, black surface absorb and transfer heat better than a bright, reflective, clean surface?
Thank you very much, I will buy it on Friday.
CAUTION: Using EasyOff on pan that have a PAINTED surface can result in damage to the paint.
The day i used easy off on my range hood filter, the grease was literally coming off on its own. Its incredible what it can don
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees F. Then shut it off. Spray the pan with oven off and place the pan in the oven. Let sit forn30 minutes. Remove from oven and scrub and rinse. Takes less time, does a better job. 👍
Wow ! This is great ! Gonna try immediately ! Thanks for sharing !
NICE PAN, AND GREAT TIP 🤗♥️👍
That was good.
If you were to spray the pan thoroughly, put it in a tight black bag and leave it in a really warm place (in the sun, for instance) for eight hours, you'd be shocked how much better the fume-free Easy Off cleans.
I buy and sell used resturant equipment. I use drain cleaner. That stuff turns thick stuck on grease to liquid almost instantly. Its super harsh though. It does it for the hard thin layers too.
I've done this with my pans for about 3 decades now....however before I spray then, I'll heat the pan slightly on the stove...not hot, just warm it up slightly. I think it helps the oven cleaner work a little better.
I've also bought really crudded up cast iron pans and cleaned them up this way...using a stiff metal brush on them the next day after they've soaked in oven cleaner. After cleaning the oven cleaner off, and washing the pan with soap and water, I will heat it up, oil it with vegetable oil, let it cool, wipe off any excess oil, then heat it up again and put more oil on/in it, and let it cool down and again wipe it. This will re-season the pan and keep it from rusting.
I bet putting it inside a large plastic bag similar to a plastic zip loc bag would have been good, it looks amazing.
Was hopping for wd40, isopropyl alcohol, at fluid or something similar. My try car shampoo in the future followed up by dish soap.
Baking soda, lye bath, Barkeeper's Friend. .. There are numerous ways. If you use chemicals like oven cleaner, better leave the skillet outside over night. You don't want those fumes in your house.
I see you have ALL CLAD .. I have these also and I’ve been using Bar keepers helper to try and clean them !
But brother you just fixed my problem ! 👍🏽 thanks for the tip !!
Every time I cook with my All Clad I scrub the bottom with Barkeeper's Friend and any new cooked on residue comes right off, so my pans stay looking beautiful. But keep in mind I don't let it build up. I do this every time I cook. Takes about a minute.
Great tip!
@@toservemen Thanks!
I actually clean the bottom after each use so the gunk doesn't build up...simple! Great method though!👍👍
I find that the No Fume Easy Off doesn't work as well as the original one with the noxious fumes. But I avoid using Easy Off all together now a days.
the fume free stuff sucks. only use the regular . Have done it for years . I take the pots and pans outside to do it and I also use it on my stove top.
I agree. The yellow can only.
I just happened to do this last night, and my pan is outside in the air getting 24 hours to do its thing. I also use it on my roasting pans that can end up with build up of
general unpleasantness, no matter how much one scrubs it. And yeah, fume free is only any good if you've already got a cleanish oven to begin with.
It works I sprayed them with off outside let sit for three to four hours and a brittle pad. Now they are like new.....
Thanks
Youre welcome
I’m pushing 60 and know my way around a kitchen and I’ve never had or seen a pan with so much shit caked on the bottom. Are you sure you’re using the right side the cook in?🥴
Hahahaha
SAVAGE!
😂😂😂
They get like that in restaurant kitchens too, because the only side that gets cleaned is the side you cook on..
I’m always amazed kitchens haven’t burned down when seeing the grease on the bottom of some pans.
Thanks for sharing that helpful hint so I can skip doing it in my own home because I hate having to spray anything.
Oh God you missed a couple tiny spots and now my OCD is killing me.....lol
Don't be so hard on yourself. Look around, paying attention is "bill" we can all afford.
lolol, it was the same thing with me! I probably would have had to spray it a third time...Looks beautiful though
I would so have to get those little turds!!! It isn't done until it's ALL done!!!! Hahaha
Apparently this guy doesn't believe in "if you're gonna do it, do it right." Dur, here's my half assed attempt! I could have done better but I'm happy!" STFU
I thought i was the only one lol😅😳
I did that a long time ago. Thought that if it can get the gunk off of the inside of an oven it can get my dirty pans clean. Even used it on pizza pans and other rectangular baking pans. Got them clean as new.
Try dipping the bottom and sides of the pan in boiling water, sprinkle Bar Keeper and use rough steel wool and scrub really good while the pot or pan is syill hot. For stubborn dirt dip it again in boiling water., repeat the process.
Awesome!!! I wish I could give you two thumbs up
I hate any type of build up on my cookware. I make sure that I give my pots, and pans a thorough cleaning after each use. I am attempting to salvage some of my mother's pots, and pans that were constantly used by my brother. It's obvious that he did not care about keeping them clean.
Thanks. I think I like this method better than the vinegar salt baking soda and squezy
Fun drinking game : Take a hard liquor shot every time he says "gonna go ahead" and see if you can manage to stand up after the video ends.
I gonna go ahead and try that. 🥴

All 3 of you are so funny! At least he didn't say, "Let me circle back". 😎
It really works! Thank you!
I have to find an equivalent product in Australia, thank you for the tip.
oven cleaner? should be the same thing, from woolies or coles.
I think BAM might be similar to Easy Off. Also you can buy Barkeeper's friend in Coles.
usa use2 have woolworths look at old usa videos on youtube the lunch counters wouldnt let black people eat at them till big protests happened 1950s 1960s...so when they went in2 administration (bankruptcy) no1 cared was glad actually...i know its a supermarket chain in Australia where u live...

My parents received Revere Ware for there wedding 67 years ago. We were a family of six, so they were used frequently. They are both still alive and use their pots and pans. Being meticulous people, they have kept them looking like new. They shine the copper bottoms frequently. Mother never fried greasy food in them, so perhaps that is one reason why they still look beautiful. My Revere Ware is only 42 years old, but the bottoms aren’t nice and shiny because I didn’t take the time to keep them nice. The insides and outsides are fine.
Jan, hello I also have Revere Ware my mother used every day, she was very fussy with her pits and pans and took great care of them but still cooked fried foods. The secret to keeping the bottoms shiny copper is to get some BarKeepers cleanser which works inside and out and wet the bottom and use the cleanser with a plastic scrubby!!! Once done rinse thoroughly and dry bottoms right away to keep the brightness. Works everytime. Just thought you might find this helpful ..😊
@@michelleangello8313 Thank you, that is helpful. I do have some Barkeepers Friend that I use on my glass cooktop. My parents used something called Twinkle which was a paste in a jar. Happy cooking, and take care.
@@jankirschke7425 Yes, I remember Twinkle my mom used that until she found Cameo cleanser which was made specially for stainless steel and copper bottom cookware. Used that for yrs then they stopped making it and she went into panic mode but tried BarKeepers and she was once again a happy camper lol Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'm glad I could help. Take Care!
Wow! I’m going to try this!!!
Baking Soda and Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar does the same
Mixed together? If so what ratio please.
@@ConcreteLand yes, I use a couple tbsp each with a scrub pad.
CAREFUL WITH THE EASY OFF! -- I did this once on my brother's matching pan set. I had to buy him a new set. Easy Off ate right through the outer enamel/paint, even without scrubbing. TEST - TEST - TEST - FIRST !!!
Thanks for sharing
WARNING: Doesn't work on aluminium! Will destroy the finish.
his is stainless clad....not aluminum.
Some people will watch this and spray it on the wrong type of pan and it WILL ruin the finish.
@@djw8591 Aluminum can be polished back to a shine. Truckers do it to their trucks all the time... Been there, done that. :)
@@overton1963 OH! I didn’t know that. Thank you.
Try Barkeepers Friend for aluminum. It works great.
Yes - hooray for oven cleaner! Thanks for showing this video.
I use Bar Keepers Friend and a green Scotch Brite scrubber.
i keep ez-off around like salt and pepper, it just get rid of so much gunk. The secret is to let it soak into whatever surface you spray it on, just spray it on and let it rest then come back and wipe off.
Great info...gonna try this! Thanks 😊
Super idea!
Ammonia in plastic bag overnight will do the same. Less caustic.
I did that with my pyrex, I was surprised how effective it was.
Ooo, I will try that!
Where do you get ammonia from??

I guess mean mouth SJQuikSilva can't be bothered to give a simple answer. He be cool ya know!
Have you tried the ammonia trick yet. It works just have to be sure it's not a coated pan, (will remove it)
Right on, thank you !
Once you have your snowman effect, cover it with cling film to hold the chemicals in place!
The bend and snap... works everytime
Great job. But I live in ireland and I’ve never seen EASY OFF I wonder what I could use instead. If you know would be helpful thanks 👍🏼
Do you have oven cleaner that you spray on? If not someone suggested ammonia.
Mr muscles oven spray does the same job
Awesome! Saved me money from replacing skillets/ pots!
Thank you so much
When using oven cleaner spray on a coat then put it in a bin liner overnight. Stops it drying out and cleans everything off. Especially good with oven racks.
We can even check the serial number? Serial number "8IN/20CM"?
Quick call the cookware company who sold the 81N/20CM Serial number & get His name & location ... He might be using a counterfeit Cleaning product or even Worse Counterfeit Cookware.
I never allowed my pans to get cruddy, all of my Farberware pot and pans look like new.
well, u you're just perfect then!!! lol
@@shepherdbella
I am not perfect, this came about as a teen when I could not get the built up grease off my mother's cast iron pots, so I vowed to never have dirty greased out crusted cast iron cookware, so when I moved into my apartment at age 16 the first thing I bought was a new set of Farberware pots and pans, now at 65 and having added on to that one set i have over 100 Farberware pots and pans and all look like new, I just clean them.
Doesn't need to be an argument ppl! But thing's happen and pots get dirty then we need a solution.... everybody learns from experience. Don't be judggy (think I just created a word! Lol)
If you scrub be outside of the pan with hot soapy water and a brillo/sos pad every time you use and wash the pan, that build up will NEVER happen again. What you have there is baked on food and grease that didn't get cleaned off after use.
Instead of the Brillo pad, I would use one of the stainless steel coiled up scrubbers much more abrasive it will clean it much better. Just my two cents.
Great tip!
For skillets I’ve gone back to using iron so much better and no worries about the non stick coating releasing toxic fumes or peeling off.
I love iron pans
I'm gonna "go ahead" and try it .
We have had the same pots and pans for almost 10 years and the bottoms, while not spotless, have never been that bad. That was beyond gross.
GOOD IDEA!
😎👍🏻 I came, saw, liked, and SUBBED!
After spraying it with easy off seal the pan in a plastic bag overnight
Wow ! Thank you
When he tries to get all the gunk off, and realises it was actually the paint 😂😂😂
Thanks for the advice
Newspaper down good idea
Does the easy-off not eat away the plastic bags?
Doesn't oven cleaner eat through aluminum?
I'm going to try this on the carbon build up on my vehicles GDI valves.
One if you really would like to clean a pan like that spray it down with easy off and put in the oven and put the oven on self clean it cleans it good
