I don't think Chapter 4 will be a light world chapter. Toby Fox has said that Chapter 3 is going to be a weird chapter and that Chapter 4 will be more typical.
I think that chapter 3 will end with us closing the dark fountain, and chapter 4 will, while being in the more standard order for chapters (lightworld then dark world then light world again), will actually have a much more substantial light world segment at the start. Chapter 3 would then be the odd one out because it's JUST a dark world, giving all its lightworld screentime to chapter 4, rather than chapter 4 being just a light world.
It's not just about soul order in Deltarune being inverse to Undertale: Deltarune's darkworlds (based on the two chapters we have) are an inverse to Undertale's progression. Think about it, the 1st darkworld of Deltarune we see has a castle near the end, and we fight a king. Just like in Undertale near the end of the game, we go through a castle to fight a king(which is Asgore). Deltarune's 2nd darkworld is a cyber themed one, with some areas sharing similarities with the Core and the area around MTT hotel. We already know that Spamton Neo is very much connected to Mettaton Neo, but even Queen shares some similar features to Mettaton EX. And so far what we know about Chapter 3, it will be based on entertainment. Some of the assets we seen of Chapter 3 are very reminiscent of some of the stage areas Mettaton uses in Hotland. My guess that other parts of Chapter 3's darkworld will be based off of Hotland. So, instead of Undertale's progression of leaving the Ruins and going to Asgore's castle, we're going in reverse order... very interesting indeed...
1. New Home 2. Core 3. Hotland 4. Waterfall 5. Snowdin 6. Ruins 7. ??? Maybe chapter 7 is just where frisk starts before going underground, so yeah the surface probably during the roaring.
This is an interesting theory, the only issue is that this would indicate a boss connected to Muffet and the Purple Soul would be seen in Chapter 3 instead of Undyne and the Green Soul. Yet we know Undyne is highly likely to be involved in Chapter 3 in some way and if we are using the Photoshop Flowey/fallen human items soul order, the Green Soul would be next instead. This may be why many fan-made Chapter 3 secret bosses seem divided on using the Green Soul or Purple Soul. I'm still leaning towards the Green Soul being used but we'll see.
This is a fun theory, but I have one added idea: In almost every instance of seeing souls in Undertale, it always seems like there's a missing one. There are 6/7 souls in captivity, and one empty space. Flowey, in control of 6 souls, still remains soulless. Heck, even in the spring newsletter, there's flowey, a soulless flower, at the end of the chain. Not to mention, the ACTUAL first soul is gone. The eighth chapter won't have the sky blue soul. It won't have a soul at all. The Eighth chapter will be the Soulless chapter.
Yeah. Chapter 1 has a song just titled "W" and Chapter 2 has one titled "D". If Chapters 3 and 4 have "G" and "A", I think Gaster is pretty much cemented as being real
Actually☝🤓 if you look at the amount of letters in "W.D gaster" and the amount of chapters, they don't match up. There are 8 letters in WD Gaster, but only 7 chapters. Not saying them spelling out Gaster isn't impossible (if there's a secret chapter 8 or chapter 0) but it's currently unlikely. It would be so cool if this theory is correct, though :D
Its inverted order of human Items we find too! Red(Locket&Dagger) Yellow(Hat&Gun) Green(Apron&Pan) Purple(Glasses&Notebook) Blue(Tutu&Ballet Shoes) Orange(Bandana&Glove) Cyan(Ribbon&Toy Knife)
That order of items is the main way we have of knowing the fall order of the humans before the Omega Flowey fight (Of course with the exception of red)
If you squint, the secret bosses also have ties to the weapon. Jevil's scythe is the Devil Knife, and Spamton NEO uses an arm cannon. If god is good, the Chapter 3 secret boss is an old/rubbberhose toon mascot who abuses toon force and slapstick (pan)
In terms of whether or not chapter 4 will have a darkworld. I'm like 99% confident it will. The newest newsletter talked about fights and bullet patterns for chapter 4. So unless we get into fights in the light world (highly doubt it but who knows) we're getting a fourth dark world.
IMHO the only possible way "no dark world in chapter 4" works is if we fight Noelle's mom and/or her underlings. Because, well... she's lowkey hinted to be a real piece of work.
I think Chapter 6 is going to be BOTH Cyan and Orange. It’d be weird if the final chapter had a secret boss, when the FINAL Boss is supposedly there. So maybe it’ll be a double battle with the Orange and Blue attacks!
Orange and cyan hazards appear together frequently in Undertale, so it wouldn't be crazy to put them together in Deltarune. Small problem: They mostly show up in Hotland and the CORE, and we're supposedly doing Undertale backwards, so that would be too early for Chapter 6.
remember they are 4 colors and Flowey so teckenaly that mean 7 + 1 = 8 and Flowey have no soul meaning the creation we made at the start has no soul it's just a vessel for a soul and what have no soul but can be a vessel : Flowey that why it show 7 chapiter instead of 8 And i'm quite sure that Toby Fox didn't say there only going have 7 chapitres (sorry for my poor english)
Interesting theory but I do have a few points I’d like to just discuss One, chapter 4 will almost definitely have a dark world. Toby mentioned it being a more regular chapter and the fact it is raining at one point implies a time skip. If I had to guess, we’ll enter the dark world while it’s raining then it will be sunny once we close the fountain (since that’d be funny since water fountain). Two, I personally think purple will come before green. Undyne had spears in Undertale to give but she has no reason to give us a spear in Deltarune. Also, Kris opens the fountain no matter if you talk to seam or not so they wouldn’t have let Undyne in the dark world for that reason. I personally think, when mentioning the “next” boss, he was talking about the next bods he thought we’d face. He might not have known that Kris, since he seems to know more about the knight, would make a fountain which could mean we find the shadow mantle in chapter 3. While this does rely on the fact that Kris isn’t the knight, I think it makes sense Anyway, still really enjoyed the video so good job and sorry for the rant
adding on to point 2, Kris would have no reason to believe that the next boss would make them have a green soul. its unlikely they even know what the green soul does. also, assuming they somehow do know what the green soul is and that its next on the list, they wouldnt know Undyne gives out spear shields to protect yourself whilst green. its a very iffy "theory"
I think the obvious implication (of Kris having their own save file before the beginning of Chapter 1) is that Deltarune takes place in a time loop, and Kris already knows everything.
Yeah, everything Kris did at the end of chapter 2 seems like it was very elaborately set up. They ate an entire pie in the end of chapter 1, so that Toriel would have to bake a new one, so that they would have time to slash the tires, so that Susie would stay over.
@1:47-.-But Kris opens the door even if you don't find any secret bosses. Keep in mind the secret bosses are optional, so the story has to make sense if you don't fight them. I'm not saying it's impossible for Undyne giving us some kind of item that will help us fight the secret boss is impossible, but it makes no sense for that to be the specific reason for why Kris opened the door, since they'll do that even if we don't fight any secret bosses, and doing so would make no sense if we don't end up fighting the secret boss.
There's one problem with the beginning. Kris wouldn't know they need a shield for a boss, and even if they did, they wouldn't know if Undyne would be that person to give a shield.
That's true, and I don't think that Kris even intended for Undyne to show up, it was just a lucky coincidence that Toriel saw Kris outside and decided to call the police.
So Kris can be fully capable of pre-planning chapter 3's dark world by making Susie stay over by slashing the tires, but not capable of predicting Undyne's dark world form? Imo, it seems like Kris has some sort of foresight of the events to come. Having said that though, I still entirely disagree with the theory, especially when it suggests that chapter 4 will be entirely in the light world (going off of Toby's own statements, chapter 3 is implied to be very distinct to the first two chapters, with chapter 4 returning to the expected norm)
@GameJam230 I mean, Kris probably barely knows Undyne, they wouldn't know what she would look like or what abilities she would have. But they know dark worlds, and they specifically learned how to summon dark worlds in the end of the the cyber world when the group finds out you only need a lighter with determination to summon a dark world, and then Birdly almost made one before Ralsei stopped them. So yeah, Kris can pre-plan making the dark world and having Susie with them, but not knowing what fights there's gonna be and what abilities new people are gonna have in the dark world.
@@GameJam230 I don't really think that Chapter 4 is going to be light world only. It would be pretty interesting, and there is a bit of evidence for it, but it doesn't really make sense all things considered. It was just a suggestion to get people thinking.
@@aidencalhoun4893 okay but you're missing my point here- Kris doesn't NEED to know Undyne if they have foresight. Who knows how the foresight works, maybe somebody just TOLD Kris to get Undyne to the dark world, or perhaps it's a time loop and Kris has already experienced this all before hundreds of times, but whatever the situation is, Kris literally doesn't need to have any recognizable history with Undyne in order for foresight to explain how Kris could know they need Undyne's spear
Personal theory of mine, since we’re seeing so much Flowey in this with the SOUL colors (the flowers in Asgore’s room 7 SOUL color + the flower in the middle who looks a lot like Flowey, making 8 & the 4 flowers that papyrus was watering but 5 if you count Flowey), there might be a secret “Flowey” boss (I say secret because the only time our SOUL colors changes during deltarune is during the spamton boss fight, which is a secret boss) our SOUL color will change to sky blue/navy blue for fear or cowardice when fighting the “Flowey” boss
its heavily theorized that Kris's natural soul colour is cyan so having the red and cyan inversion would fit perfectly with the whole player and Kris dynamic
1:35 This may suggest its not the krder of fallen humans but the reverse order of the souls used, in which case next chapter will be the purple soul as that comes after unyne but befire mettaton 2:00 how would kris know undyne can provide a method of blocking?
I honestly think Deltarune's dark worlds will mirror Undertale in reverse. Chapter 1: The Card Kingdom, mirrors New Home, it is a kingdom whose king is set on the freedom of his race Chapter 2: The Cyber World, mirrors Core, since it is made of technology and features a hot robot and the NEO armor Chapter 3: The TV/Living room world, this mirrors Hotland since it would likely represent a combination of normal terrain and technology (though the green soul fight does not occur here, except maybe when Undyne chases you into it at the end of her fight? It could use the purple soul instead) Chapter 4: The Church world (since Rudy says he would try to go to church on Sunday, and Chapter 3 I think takes place Saturday night), mirrors Waterfall. This is where we meet Gerson and learn about the Angel in Undertale, while in Deltarune, Alvin is the head of the church that worships the Angel. Chapter 5: This one I'm not sure about, but if it mirrors Snowdin it would probably have to do with Sans and Papyrus, the Holiday family, or ICE-E. I believe in the Papyrus Knight theory, and if we use chess theory here this would also be the Knight chapter. The blue soul does occur in Snowdin, so this would fit. Other than that I'm not sure. Chapter 6: My theory is that this will be the Gaster chapter and take place in the bunker, which would be parallel to the Ruins. It would likely be a more treacherous dark world that Gaster has to guide you through like Toriel guides you through Undertale. I should also note that this could include both the Orange and Cyan souls, since Gaster was shown to be adept with both color's powers when building the CORE defenses and the two seem more like counterparts to each other (keep moving vs. don't move) Chapter 7: This would mirror the Surface and include a fight against the Angel, since Gerson says the Angel will come from the surface in Undertale. This could possibly include the Roaring and the dark and light world becoming one.
Oh my god i realised something watching this video: In asgore's flower shop, the colours of the flowers face the opposite sides of eachother. Purple faces green, blue faces orange, cyan faces yellow. Maybe thats the order of opposites we have. But do you know what else is there? A golden flower in the middle. And in the newsletter, what do we see after the four flowers in a row? Flowey. Every time the flowers appear they are in the same order, yes, but he is always at the end. I believe your 8th chapter + 8th soul theory, with one minor tweak. We won't play as a blue soul, we'll play as golden. Now to be fair we are probably about 10 years away from seeing the end of this game so I have no idea how flowey is going to tie into everything, but i know for a fact that he is going to have some involvement. And this just proves that point. Great video btw, this theory is amazing 💖💖
So far each boss also mirrors the reversed No Mercy route in UT, but the fact that the shadow mantle is needed for the chapter 3 boss makes me think that it'll indeed be a green soul battle.
Wow this theory is spectacular, and I appreciate this level of quality in under 10 mins! Not every good theory needs to take several hours to cover lol
YES THANK GOD I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THAT SOUL ORDER THING FOR SO LONG LOL (Edit: buuut I just realised i think of it more like in boss order: e.g: Jevil - Red | Red - Asgore Spamton NEO - Yellow | MTT EX - Yellow Secret Boss 3 - hypothetically Purple | Muffet - Purple SB4 - Hypothetically Green | Undyne - Green SB5 - Hypothetically Blue | Papyrus - Blue SB6 & SB7 - Hypothetically orange and cyan in some order- could be in other places as well.)
I really like this theory! It does have a lot of proof to it, and it has some neat connections to it. I like the idea that we will be facing new soul colors in the last few chapters. My idea is that with the orange soul, you'll have to hit the white attacks to not get hurt, and you want to avoid the green attacks. And the cyan soul can't move, but you can move something else to push it away.
The very fact that in the news letter, after the four flowers denoting the colors of souls, there is a Flowеy analogy for chapter 8. And in general, the game files seem to have been up to chapter 9
I think the soul power of red is to save load and reset or it is determination because if the other souls had that they would still be alive but maybe if you have 6 souls you can load and save or if you have no soul
On a run after a Reset, Toriel mentions feeling a sense of deja vu whenever a human falls in the undeground, and some of Asgore's flavour text implies he knows about saving. Alphys also mentions extracting the determination used for Flowey and the amalgamates from "the human souls." It's unlikely that determination is exclusive to the red soul. The six humans before Frisk most likely just got defeated due to giving up after many deaths.
Nah, red isn't determination. Ball game in undertale states that Red means ,,being yourself", so its something about player vessel. Determination is propably GOLDEN. In Undertale "Determination" is never written Red BUT once in true lab it's highlighted in Gold. The same Gold colour of save point(that is stated by Toby to be physical representation of determination), and the same Golden colour that Flowey's leaves have(flower that was injected with raw determination). It would be huge move from toby, to cover all that in 8th deltarune chapter and finally reveal all secrets behind determination and Red soul. Hope i will still be around in 2078 when chapter 8th drops☠️ Btw if u are interested in topics like this, check out nochocolate blog. This is huge undertale rabbit hole. They have Golden souls explained too. Its propably better than my gibberish.
For the record, a mantle is an article of clothing that's kind of like a poncho, but only goes down to the elbows at most. They're kind of too ponchos what skirts are to dresses, or shorts are to pants. One could still imagine it being intended to act as a shield in green mode, but I think it's important to point this out.
I always liked the thought of the sky blue soul as a soul of "calmness". It is almost the opposite of bravery and it fits in blue colored souls as well!
Orange and navy blue. I've seen a song interpretationg of Gaster being a pirate. If gaster is the knight. He surely is a navy blue soul. He went sailing across time and space, being everywhere for his own gain and nowhere to be catched. Like a pirate!
Then the Cyan soul being Red's opposite may mean an inversion of Kris, so either a fight against Dark World Kris or just a boss fight against Kris in general.
I don't know how this plays into the theory, but the colors of the souls also align with the colors of our heroes and their personalities. Susie is purple and represents perseverance, Ralsei is green and represents kindness, and Kris is a shade of blue that may align with the hidden navy blue you mentioned in the video. In some secret chapter, the final boss may be Kris himself, with his true soul (the navy blue one) fighting against the player's soul (the red one).
7:06 Unless my eyes have completely failed me, I'm pretty sure those two hex codes both read "#ECFE0F" Aside from that, very interesting theory! The idea of Deltarune's soul order being inverted from Deltarune's is interesting, although i feel like a sample size of two secret boss fights is a little early to be making the call that there's a specific order of souls in mind.
Personally i don't think that an 8 soul color would happened, instead I'd think after cyan it would loop back to red. After all technically, chara had a red soul, and if we go by that logic undertales soul order would go red, cyan, orange, blue, purple, orange, yellow, red. So by that logic theirs already 8 souls. Also orange goes before the final chapter, meaning story structure wise, that's when everything goes to shit, Like the roaring. But if I we're to follow your logic, I'd believe that you're sky soul would be dlc or a hidden ending or path unlocked by doing either snowgrave-esk routes, the eggs, or finding the secret bosses. But with the songs, spelling WD.Gaster I'd think that the final bosses track could fit that mold, or some form of bonus content after completing the game, like the doorway at the edge of town, or dlc as previously mentioned. Anyways, good video, sorry if this comment just comes of as rude or a monotonous block of text. Have a great day.
It’s determination it makes the red soul “unkillable” it’s the only one that never gives ups and comes back so it will just keep coming back until the enemy loses the other sould may have come back like 3 or 5 times and just gave up on asgore
@@anakardoso all humans have determination, why would one soul trait be literally just determination. Especially considering perseverance being so close to meaning the same thing. Also frisks determination likely comes from the player, not from the red soul trait.
I always thought there'd be a Magenta soul if anything for a secret 8th given how Magenta is different enough from Purple to be a main color in its own right. But looking at it closer, the Purple soul is already more Magenta than Purple
. The Dark Blue soul means Integrity, so Spamton being the opposite of that makes perfect sense. . The Purple soul means Perseverance, so Chapter 3's secret boss will probably have a procrastinative/laid-back personality. . The Green soul means Kindness, so Chapter 4's secret boss will most likely have an uncouth/angry personality, akin to the Mad Dummy . The Yellow soul means Justice, so Chapter 5's secret boss will speculatively be an evil/corrupt character. . The Light Blue soul means Patience, so Chapter 6's secret boss is admittedly quite hard to speculate. . The Orange soul means Bravery, so Chapter 7's secret boss will be a character revolved around cowardice. This is could easily be proven wrong as soon as the next two chapters come out, so don't take my word for it.
2:00 given how kris does this no matter if you even do the secret boss or talk to seam this is most likely not the case.also how does kris know that undyne is the key to the shadow mantle
I thought about that, it's interesting! I think we can assume that Kris knows more than we think, and has some knowledge on the green soul and the Undyne from Undertale.
Actually, I think it's more likely that Kris didn't even intend for Undyne to come along. It was just a lucky coincidence that Toriel caught Kris lurking around and decided to call the police.
Since we're having some fun overthinking little details, I wanna give my own idea too Alternatively, I think Red might be the one without a pair. It's made clear Red has always been distinct from the rest. If you want to look into it further, the other souls have pairings too. Cyan and Orange are both given attack gimmicks instead of altering our soul, Blue and Purple are found in Waterfall, and while this one is much looser, Green and Yellow are both found in Hotland to a certain extent as well as both weapons having four hit reticles when used. Take it further to Your Best Nightmare. In the OST, the soul themes are not only put into pairs of two but are in the exact same pair order I give out. The only conclusion I could draw from this is that Red's pairing might be... Red. We often brush off the fact that Chara and Frisk are both red souls, but I feel like we could draw up some point that there *isn't* a different color to pair with red and that is will always circle back to itself. Two red souls fell into the underground, so it would only be right to consider both when theory crafting. The fact Flowey constantly compares Frisk to Chara also helps reinforce this idea. Determination, Power, Ball Game-- whatever you want to define red, it seems to always be an exception. But what does that mean for Chapter 1? Well, I'm not entirely sure. But it's something I want to share my thoughts on and see if other people can see where I'm thinking with this. Perhaps that second red might refer to us and our discarded vessel. We might become the final opponent, at least to Kris. Because really, who's the one in control?
According to the chess theory, chapter 5 could be the knight chapter. If it’s also connected with the blue soul, that means sans or papyrus could have major connections with the knight
If the soul colors were *actually* related to Undertale's fallen humans, "the secret chapter" would probably be associated with the red soul as Chara has a determination soul.
this makes sense i've heard other theories about a chapter 0, that might be your "8th" chapter you should definitely look into it if you want to solidify this theory
my predictions in the future bosses: also i wanna point out that every chapter will have a secret boss that uses one special gimmick special soul c1: Jevil RED c2: spamton/spamton neo YELLOW c3: Undyne GREEN also c3 will happen in a tv world which is confirmed c4: we didnt see mettaton who used the yellow soul before c2 was released and we got spamton a dif version of mettaton so i predict that c4 will have a different version of muppet c4 probably will mostly be in the overworld c5: either sans or papyrus that may be crazy but i have an idea of what c5 will be: paparus will be the knight or just a main boss and sans will be a secret boss (i hope atleast) we got hints that we will see paparus soon thats what sans said and he had history of being a knight before but i have no idea where c5 will happen c6: is so far in time its useless to speculate but if toby continues with this pattern there will be a secret boss that uses the orange soul gimmick which is unknown only some fangames used either the "always move" gimmick but its unofficial so the gimmick may be completely different c7: may or may not be released before 2030 at this point so its dumb to speculate that far but we will get a secret boss that will use the cyan soul gimmick i have a theory that since its an inversion of the red soul cyan soul will be red soul but with inverted controls but that is just a theory a game theory
There's not much to suggest this, but with red and orange being so similiar, maybe it has some connection with theories that talk about the indended recipient of our control? That is, we were meant to control the vessel, but ended up with Kris and the vessel is now under Gaster's or someone else's control.
I never would've thought of this, amazing theory! But, for me it's a bit of a shame these soul types would only be used for the secret bosses, and not be that important in other parts of the game. But who knows? Maybe Toby changes his mind and makes it appear in other bosses too.
i think the orange soul will likely be the representative of the overworld chapter, as you mentioned the light world uses alot of oranges and greens, and since orange is the only one without a partner i would assume thats the outlier chapter thats purely in the overworld
I had a dream once. I was playing Deltarune Chapter 3, approaching the Secret Boss. You had to solve a Yellow Soul puzzle. But then, something strange happened. There was a Green SOUL. It had two mechanics: A Parry mechanic, where you press Z to parry green bullets, and it's main mechanic, the typical shield. You use arrow keys to move, but you use WASD to control the shield. It's like a mix of red and green. Which is also kind of ironic, considering how you can't move with the Green SOUL because it is the opposite of the Red SOUL.
That’s not what a conspiracy theory is bro… a conspiracy theory is a theory _about_ a conspiracy. It’s not necessarily some crazy and baseless theory Anyways, I don’t think this theory is too grounded in anything, except that it all thematically makes sense
@@jackatk i never liked theories like that, first off its not even close to what a theory is supposed to be, and second off you can get literally anything to "thematically fit" no exceptions.
now that i think about it, sans tells Kris he already befriended Toriel, so she could just, "Hey Kris, I met a new monster, named sans", that's why Kris can say, "Hey, sans"
Justice and kindness also makes sense with genocide becoming available since justice and kindness naturally oppose genocide, unless it was like genocide towards some intrinsically evil force.

Yellow(Hat&Gun)
Green(Apron&Pan)
Purple(Glasses&Notebook)
Blue(Tutu&Ballet Shoes)
Orange(Bandana&Glove)
Cyan(Ribbon&Toy Knife)
I never thought of that! You're right!
That order of items is the main way we have of knowing the fall order of the humans before the Omega Flowey fight (Of course with the exception of red)
@@lolzreaper2692 I mean, it definitely includes red. All you have to do as a player to confirm it is die.
Red - tutorial, nothing special.
Yellow - Justice.

I think Chapter 6 is going to be BOTH Cyan and Orange. It’d be weird if the final chapter had a secret boss, when the FINAL Boss is supposedly there. So maybe it’ll be a double battle with the Orange and Blue attacks!
Kinda like the Asgore fight? 🤔
@@JokerDoom Yeah, exactly. But both the Blue and Orange attacks come from separate Darkners, so it would be a 3 vs 2 fight.
Maybe it would orange and cyan souls, instead of attacks, orange you might have to always be moving but I’m not sure about cyan
I'd really like it if we got official cyan and orange soul modes instead tbh
Orange and cyan hazards appear together frequently in Undertale, so it wouldn't be crazy to put them together in Deltarune. Small problem: They mostly show up in Hotland and the CORE, and we're supposedly doing Undertale backwards, so that would be too early for Chapter 6.

AYYYYYY I HEADCANNON THIS THEORY!!! ITS REALLY COOL!!!
It's truly is!
remember they are 4 colors and Flowey so teckenaly that mean 7 + 1 = 8 and Flowey have no soul meaning the creation we made at the start has no soul it's just a vessel for a soul and what have no soul but can be a vessel : Flowey that why it show 7 chapiter instead of 8 And i'm quite sure that Toby Fox didn't say there only going have 7 chapitres (sorry for my poor english)

I think, if you defeat all the secret bosses (Jevil, Spamton, etc.) and collect all the Shadow Mantles, you will get the secret 8th chapter
You mean where we return back to red?
I’ve thought of this myself, but what if chapter 7’s secret is in one of the tree rooms and only appears if the other 6 eggs are found and placed
You probably meant Shadow Crystals? Interesting idea.
@@BladeLightsteelassuming chara and frisk both have red souls or determination it would be still in line with the fallen humans
Interesting theory but I do have a few points I’d like to just discuss
One, chapter 4 will almost definitely have a dark world.
While this does rely on the fact that Kris isn’t the knight, I think it makes sense
Anyway, still really enjoyed the video so good job and sorry for the rant
adding on to point 2, Kris would have no reason to believe that the next boss would make them have a green soul. its unlikely they even know what the green soul does.
also, assuming they somehow do know what the green soul is and that its next on the list, they wouldnt know Undyne gives out spear shields to protect yourself whilst green. its a very iffy "theory"
I think the obvious implication (of Kris having their own save file before the beginning of Chapter 1) is that Deltarune takes place in a time loop, and Kris already knows everything.
@@HDDStriderWe dont even know anything about kris so you cant assume that
@@NYKevin100 That would be an incredible twist
6:04 gonna sound like a colour nerd here but I believe the name of orange's complimentary colour is azure
NERD
COLO(U)R NERD
Love this theory! Using Seam’s warning as evidence was so clever!
Our fandom is so cooked we’re making theories like this 2 chapters in
Personal theory of mine, since we’re seeing so much Flowey in this with the SOUL colors (the flowers in Asgore’s room 7 SOUL color + the flower in the middle who looks a lot like Flowey, making 8 & the 4 flowers that papyrus was watering but 5 if you count Flowey), there might be a secret “Flowey” boss (I say secret because the only time our SOUL colors changes during deltarune is during the spamton boss fight, which is a secret boss) our SOUL color will change to sky blue/navy blue for fear or cowardice when fighting the “Flowey” boss
its heavily theorized that Kris's natural soul colour is cyan so having the red and cyan inversion would fit perfectly with the whole player and Kris dynamic
Calling it right now: now that I’ve watched a single deltarune theory video, my suggestions will be nothing but.
1:35
This may suggest its not the krder of fallen humans but the reverse order of the souls used, in which case next chapter will be the purple soul as that comes after unyne but befire mettaton
2:00 how would kris know undyne can provide a method of blocking?
Undyne is a police officer, what kind of police officer wouldn't know how to block attacks?

I honestly think Deltarune's dark worlds will mirror Undertale in reverse.
Chapter 1: The Card Kingdom, mirrors New Home, it is a kingdom whose king is set on the freedom of his race
Chapter 2: The Cyber World, mirrors Core, since it is made of technology and features a hot robot and the NEO armor
Chapter 3: The TV/Living room world, this mirrors Hotland since it would likely represent a combination of normal terrain and technology (though the green soul fight does not occur here, except maybe when Undyne chases you into it at the end of her fight? It could use the purple soul instead)
Chapter 4: The Church world (since Rudy says he would try to go to church on Sunday, and Chapter 3 I think takes place Saturday night), mirrors Waterfall.
I should also note that this could include both the Orange and Cyan souls, since Gaster was shown to be adept with both color's powers when building the CORE defenses and the two seem more like counterparts to each other (keep moving vs. don't move)
Chapter 7: This would mirror the Surface and include a fight against the Angel, since Gerson says the Angel will come from the surface in Undertale. This could possibly include the Roaring and the dark and light world becoming one.

Sky blue - skies forever blue

YES THANK GOD I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THAT SOUL ORDER THING FOR SO LONG LOL

Spamton NEO - Yellow | MTT EX - Yellow
Secret Boss 3 - hypothetically Purple | Muffet - Purple
SB4 - Hypothetically Green | Undyne - Green
SB5 - Hypothetically Blue | Papyrus - Blue
SB6 & SB7 - Hypothetically orange and cyan in some order- could be in other places as well.)
Omg, this is actually a really good theory for Deltarune. I actually believe that this will happen

All humans could reset.
Hope i will still be around in 2078 when chapter 8th drops☠️
Btw if u are interested in topics like this, check out nochocolate blog. This is huge undertale rabbit hole. They have Golden souls explained too. Its propably better than my gibberish.
Papyrus casually implies that the red trait is love when you call him in elevator L3 in Hotland. Yes, it is VERY weird.
2:28 bro from where orange went XD
Orange and navy blue. I've seen a song interpretationg of Gaster being a pirate. If gaster is the knight. He surely is a navy blue soul. He went sailing across time and space, being everywhere for his own gain and nowhere to be catched. Like a pirate!

I love the theory and it does answer a lot of questions, but I think the red soul doesn’t have a match cause it’s Our/Kris’s soul
Then the Cyan soul being Red's opposite may mean an inversion of Kris, so either a fight against Dark World Kris or just a boss fight against Kris in general.

The theory goes hard but the part about opposites shows what years without an update does to a man
I don't know how this plays into the theory, but the colors of the souls also align with the colors of our heroes and their personalities.
7:06 Unless my eyes have completely failed me, I'm pretty sure those two hex codes both read "#ECFE0F"
Aside from that, very interesting theory! The idea of Deltarune's soul order being inverted from Deltarune's is interesting, although i feel like a sample size of two secret boss fights is a little early to be making the call that there's a specific order of souls in mind.
This is an amazing video :)
thanks :)
orange and navy blue are literally papyrus and sans
Have a great day.
that's interesting. and it could maybe tell us more about what the soul power of red is, if it has one at all.
People are convinced that it’s determination, even though DT is never associated with red… maybe we’ll find out soon?

But looking at it closer, the Purple soul is already more Magenta than Purple
. The Dark Blue soul means Integrity, so Spamton being the opposite of that makes perfect sense.
. The Purple soul means Perseverance, so Chapter 3's secret boss will probably have a procrastinative/laid-back personality.
. The Green soul means Kindness, so Chapter 4's secret boss will most likely have an uncouth/angry personality, akin to the Mad Dummy

Since we're having some fun overthinking little details, I wanna give my own idea too
Alternatively, I think Red might be the one without a pair.
It's even crazier when you realize in underlabs theory about the human souls becoming monsters the orange soul is theorized to be gaster
Nice theory!
According to the chess theory, chapter 5 could be the knight chapter. If it’s also connected with the blue soul, that means sans or papyrus could have major connections with the knight
also the newsletter flowers have flowey as a possible "chapter 8"
If the soul colors were *actually* related to Undertale's fallen humans, "the secret chapter" would probably be associated with the red soul as Chara has a determination soul.

and sans will be a secret boss (i hope atleast)
we got hints that we will see paparus soon thats what sans said
and he had history of being a knight before
but i have no idea where c5 will happen
c6: is so far in time its useless to speculate but if toby continues with this pattern there will be a secret boss that uses the orange soul gimmick which is unknown only some fangames used either the "always move" gimmick but its unofficial so the gimmick may be completely different
c7: may or may not be released before 2030 at this point so its dumb to speculate that far but we will get a secret boss that will use the cyan soul gimmick
i have a theory that since its an inversion of the red soul cyan soul will be red soul but with inverted controls but that is just a theory a game theory
