JHOPEEEEEE....killed it!! I swear every member of BTS is carving their own genre in kpop it seems like...and i'm HERE FOR IT!
j-hope new album Jack in the Box will be released on 15th july with another MV for second title track - Arson.
He will also be headlining lollapalooza chicago on 31th July.
He released a mixtape in 2018 that did really well on the charts. It’s called “Hope World”. The lead single is called “Daydream” and there is a music video for it.
So though this is the official solo start, he has already had great success as solo artist.
- [ ] He is the bravest to experiment and be adventurous with his sounds. He has always been good at blending genres. That is why he is that good in his craft. He keeps studying and respecting cultures or genre. His flow in this song cements his skill as a very versatile rapper and artist. j-hope is the most dynamic and diverse with his music. j-hope is extremely clever with his lyrics. Uses a lot of literature and pop culture references which most overlook. Hope World may be bright song but his lyrics have depth. To say he has something to prove is silly since he has already proven he is already an excellent rapper. Add the fact he has excellent vocals that he could manipulate to fit any songs. Flexibility and distinct flavour. All him! His artistry is mind blowing! This is just the first song of the album and not even the title track!
This song reminded me so much of the underground rap/grunge music of the 90’s. The video was such a callback to that time too. A lot of that movement that was going on in Seattle at the time. Such a good sound for him 👏🏽

A little bit darker but so gorgeous, this man is so talented and I would never get tired of speaking about how extremely significant his work is! He is the best dancer alive and guess what? You can know that he is a dancer without him dancing! By just listening to the beat you can know, he plays with the harmonies like a sip of water, walking through the melodies and making a beautiful balance, HOBI is a real musician

also, the members have recently announced on their anniversary that they’ll be taking a some what break from group activities. they’ll still be doing group projects it’s just that they’ll be focusing more on their solo works at the moment. so each member will release a solo album after another member haha hope to keep seeing your reactions to their music! 💜

he did a solo album called hopeworld in 2018 and with it, 2 music videos which are airplane and daydream. :) now now, hopeworld is nothing like jack in the box, and that's the beauty of it.

You missed it again... the ending. His album is titled Jack in the Box, the track list is out and will drop on 7/29. He is headlining on 7/16 at Lapallozza, Chicago... the box had the office, hallway, and garage, all the workers in it. He closed this box and now we are ready fo the next one... his alter ego was Jack who was in the room with him.
IMO, this song may shock many or at least some people. the main reason is probably not the dark concept (it's actually still in a positive way even it may look dark) but rather the song itself. it is not a typical Kpop song people usually watch/hear but rather with more rock, punk and a little metal vibes in it. people, especially the international Kpop fans, may think Korean music has only Kpop or only means Kpop. in fact Korean music includes all kinds of different music genre from jazz, rap, rock to anything you name it. however it is just that Kpop is the most known and popular music genre to the world domestically and internationally. Kpop is just overshadowing all other music in Korea but it doesn't mean they don't exist or not being heard by people. I guess J-hope just wanna to break free from the stereotype of Kpop and explore something new or something less being paid attention to. with who he is and where he stands, he can afford to do it with or without the worrying of the consequences he may get with this new 'sound' solo album. Personally I thinks "more" is a great song as I am no stranger to the western rock vibes music even I may not be a complete rock (or heavy metal) fan. BTW he is gonna rock and hype up the whole crowd at lollapalooza 2022 in Chicago.

yep, not a 'typical kpop song' we used to hear or 'love'. but think about it, why not let a kpop idol or kpop idol(s) deviate from the mainstream a little bit for something new (in most people's minds or interpretations, Kpop is the mainstream and others are something new). In J-Hope's case. he may be doing something new for himself and Kpop fans. it is just something someone gotta to do it in Kpop and J-Hope seems to be the one. after all J-Hope with his status along with being a part of BTS, he can do it without the worrying of the consequences. additionally we still don't know if his new upcoming album is exactly or similarly close to this single "More". will the whole 'dark' out of the box concept go all the way throughout the album from the 1st track to the very last one. it remains to be seen until the moment the album is officially released. perhaps the only guarantee is that the music is gonna be good in this album possibly dark, rock, punk, kpop again and/or anything. guess we trust J-Hope on this one.

Gentlemen, I don't know if you have seem J Hope last solo video called "EGO." However, in that video (Spoiler alert) there was a hospital scene, a scene that he mimicked in "MORE." In EGO, they revived "J Hope," but now with this video...

That is actually who they revived...it wasn't J Hope, but Jack.
This is another Persona of his EGO, I guess you could also say that Jack is his SHADOW. Now other older ARMY know what this means. On their album 7 there was three songs that the rappers did silo
1. PERSONA: INTRO-RM
2. SHADOW: INTERLUDE-Suga
3. EGO:OUTRO-J Hope
And within ne album, Jack In The Box, a couple of titles Pandora's Box, which J hope has always said that is where he got his name. After all the world's ills were released from Pandora's Box, at the bottom of the box was HOPE!
Another title is "Music Box:Reflection. Are we seeing a pattern?

I think all of BTS have their own agenda for solo work, they can not escape the fact that they have to go into the military. or the government to change just for them would be catastrophic because they could open themselves up to lawsuits from other agencies and I say this because I have neighbours over here in England who came from Korea. This is mandatory. The way HYBE have handled this is so wrong. They could have got them to put together a greatest hits you know they do that over in the US as well as here in the UK. Or they could have recorded earlier and just strategically released. This way allowing them their solo projects is a way to keep them front and centre and all though 2 years is not that long to lose that kind of income to South Korea that is majorly a problem.
J hope for me has always been the underrated and underused member I love him and have from the first. This track is phenomenal he totally broke away from the boy crush group. The video is incredible. I love every thing about it and hope to see him do some more

Peculiar to your channel, the children are making such visual cacophony that every time I watch there is an unusual almost silence from those who might discuss the material being presented. Not that it is good manners to talk over your presentation, but dag you guys across time cultivated an unusual collection of poorly mannered viewers.
