@@chrisowens7873 There were trans Problems a few years back but now Ram has a good Transmission and good warranty so not to worry from my experiences . I've traded every 3 to 4 years on my birthday 🎂 for a new Ram and my ex wife I got her Dodge cars every 4 years but I mostly traded every 3 years . My Ram buying started in 1998 and I still buy them today. I love the Cummins Diesel ⛽ , the 5.7 and 6.4 engines the best for me . I'm about to Buy a 550 classic with the 6.4 gas And have a custom bed made .
I towed with a 2003 Denali for years. It’s basically the same thing as an Escalade. The engine was more than capable, but the 4 speed transmission basically ruined the experience. One trip I borrowed a friends 2011 suburban with the 6 speed and I was blown away by the difference. I started shopping for a newer Denali and ended up in a 2007 Chevy 3500 duramax single rear wheel. I think you will be much happier with a heavier duty chassis and more gear ratio. Not to mention a bit of a power bump.
Also, good call on getting gas. While diesel is a nice luxury, the price difference between the gas and the diesel can buy ALOT of gas to burn going down the road.
Congrats! So we have some catching up to do on your videos! Life, holidays.....you know. About to sit down and watch what we've missed. I'm so glad you guys are headed back out!
I have a Similar truck, a 17 xlt premium. The 6.2 has been super reliable, just needed oil changes and one set of brakes in 60k miles. It’s been my favorite truck towing my 9k toy-hauler. Congratulations
Congrats! The truck looks great. I can attest to the power of a Ford. My F150 has almost 250, 000 miles, has towed a trailer, and hasn't had any issues we couldn't fix ourselves. My family loves watching your videos. Can't wait to see where your new truck takes you! 🙂
We were in the same boat!!!! We had a very nice Ford Explorer towing a 20 foot TT. We then upgraded to a new F150 which we loved. Soon after, we upgraded our trailer to a 38 foot TT with a Hensley hitch to help a bit. We then upgraded to a F250 Diesel which completely changed our tow experience. Shortly after that, we sold the 38 foot TT, and sold our house and went full time in a 43 foot 5th wheel. Because of this upgrade, we traded in the 250 and went for a 350 dully!!! We basically ran through the entire ford truck line up lol! …. 450 isn’t out of the question 😎 j/k …yes it is… congrats on the truck!
Dang Ben, you guys have seriously tried it all!! 😂 Wouldn’t be surprised if you went with the 450 next haha what a great experience and perspective to go through that entire process, very cool! Safe travels and thanks for sharing! 🤘🏽
Jeez that video was again hilarious :D :D You guys are just cant stop being creative and damn funny :D Nice choice btw, my personal fav is the Ford Raptor but that one is hella pricey. Good luck with the new truck for yallll

I grew up in Rockport, TX! Also, Olivia's tears of buying a new truck and seeing Nathan make a fool of himself...love you two! Great video!
Congratulations, I have a 2016 f250 6.2 and have been very happy with it. Last year I removed the back seat and made a platform. My dog now has more room and there is more storage inside the truck. Theo clip at end was a great way to end the video.
Found your channel a couple of weeks ago... Y'all are super funny, hella entertaining and mark my words, keep this great content coming and your channel is going to be huge! Guaranteed! Love it! 👍🏼
Have a 2020 6.2, use it to pull my 34’ Jayco that weighs 8500lbs around the mountains of WV…. Does fine…. You’ll like it for the size camper you have…. Congrats!
After seeing the bloopers I'm convinced that this is Nathan's world and we are all just living in it 😂 Congrats on the truck!!! #teamford baby! Gang gang 🤙
Thanks John for heads up! We’ve heard of that and yes, we did look at Ram too. The main 4 pickup trucks would all do the job well, we just ended up with a Ford! 👍🏽
Congrats on your new purchase. Wife and I were looking for a truck as well to pull the camper, and used trucks were out the roof. So we decided to purchase a new one, and then ordered one ourselves. Hated the look of the Chevy, and Ford seemed to like ($$$) theirs a little too much, so we ordered our New Cummins 3500 SRW. Pulls our camper sooooo much better than our old truck. I decided to go over-kill with the size of the truck. Appreciate having too much truck in lieu of being over weight. Take care and good luck with the truck. Lastly, the exhaust brakes on the new diesels are awesome! You never hardly have to apply your brakes when going down hill.
Thanks for sharing Natel! Yea we wanted to get a new one but the wait was between 3-10 months which wouldn’t work for us. We also considered getting a 3500 but in California they must be registered as a commercial vehicle 🤔 the Cummins sounds like a great choice! We’ll see how our Ford does! All the best!
So I have a 250 with the 6.2 towing a 35’ fifth wheel. I’m actually from and still live in Corpus Christi. My only complaint with my truck is the small fuel tank
Congratulations guys first video I have seen from you guys but I'll definitely watch more I went to 3/4 ton gmc duramax last year to pull our camper it was an amazing transition I'm a gm guy so I stuck with it but my buddy's have ford's and love them they are great truck no matter how much the Ford gm guy rivalry is lol Congratulations wish you the best and will be tuning in for your adventure
You're going to love it! We have the F350 SRW which is almost identical except for the towing capacity, and we really love it. Most comfortable vehicle for travelling long distances we've ever had. You'll appreciate the 4x4 but don't get over-confident - 4x4s can still get stuck!
So awesome to hear that Alan, and we’ll definitely be cautious with 4x4! We’re excited to see how it does, having all the inside space is also really nice!! Cheers!

yooo! Congrats on the truck. I literally just went through the same thing. I ALSO bought a truck (2020 RAM 3500 DIESELLL baby) and oh boy.. It was well over budget.. but I'm excited af! Picking it up on monday! LETS GO
Congratulations on your purchase as i hope it does you well traveling the country side. .Me being a dodge guy pulling a 30 ft. ,Star Craft trailer camper, i say you did good on your purchase for your needs. 🤠😉.Stay safe safe travels....
Awesome! Excellent decision all around on the 250....wish ours was white! We love ours otherwise..you will love towing with it. Glad it came with the tonneau! we bought ours used and it had one on it as well so BONUS! Can't wait to see where it takes you guys. Cheers!!
Thanks, we’re stoked to finally have a truck we don’t need to worry about 😅 it didn’t come with the tonneau but we were happy to pay for it!! Gotta keep our stuff safe haha grey was our first color choice but we were very happy with white! Can’t wait to get out there, thanks again guys! 🤘🏽
Loved the video! I bought mine (2019 F250 6.2 short bed) in early January. I have the exact truck as you, only difference is I got the Lariat package. I think the only difference is leather seats. But I’m in LOVE with my truck.
Thanks Russ, glad to hear you’re loving your truck! The Lariat’s are super nice, we checked out a few and loved the leather seats and extra features! They’re a bit out of the budget for now, but maybe down the road we’ll upgrade! Safe travels!
Welcome to the f250 club. Been watching your channel since the beginning and noticed your last route you guys are talking about Corpus Christi you should check out South Padre Island it’s two hours south of there beautiful place to visit best beach in Texas
Thanks for that recommendation Sean, we’ll definitely check it out! I appreciate you supporting us and watching our vids! All the best and we’re super stoked to be part of the F250 club!! 🤘🏽
I ordered a new 2022 RAM 3500 Cummins High Output Limited loaded on 12/2/21. The MSRP was $95k. They are charging me MSRP. The truck is finally here over 3 months later. The MSRP on the exact same truck if you were to order it today is over $98k. Crazy times!
My wife and I just watched this video and it is very helpful. Wondering if you have the info specs on the F250, because I think it is exactly the truck we are looking for to safely tow our trailers and RV. Thank you and keep up the good work. We love your channel. Thanks
Hey Frank! We have a 2019 Ford F-250 6.2L Gas. If you put that into google it'll give you all the specs (depending on what specific info you're curious about) Hope that helps and hope you find a great truck! Cheers! :)
Congratulations on your choice of truck! The 3/4 ton trucks are an extremely capable class. I have a 1/2 ton F150 that probably could tow your trailer but... given how tight I'd be with payload (trailer tongue weight counts toward that) it's very possible that I would be over GVWR by a bit. That's where those 3/4 ton trucks come in quite handy! The newer F150's *can* drag around upwards of 13,000 lbs... and F250's can get into the 14,000 range but the payload is right where those F250's shine, especially when set up specifically for towing duty. I suspect you have more than enough reserve in terms of payload and tow capacity that you'll rarely, if ever, have problems related to towing. The only downside to the 3/4 ton (and bigger) trucks is the gas mileage... My truck? Well, for the most part it's a daily-driver that will very occasionally tow. If I were to tow as often/long as you folks do, I'd also go F250. I've had one in the past and I enjoyed every minute of it (it was also quite old) and I do think you'll enjoy every minute of the F250 for all it can do for you!
Thanks for the rundown Jeremy! Yea the F-250 will be a major upgrade for us in terms of tow capacity and payload! 💪🏽 We’re just stoked we no longer need to worry about that stuff with this new set up! We ain’t looking forward to the gas mileage though that’s for sure 😩
That was one of the most entertaining videos on RUclips I’ve watched. Keep up the creativity and energy. Looking forward to more future content. As a GMC guy, I won’t hold it against you for buying a Ford. Haha.
And this folks is why I am still driving my 1994 Nissan pick up. Having said that I'd really like to travel back to before 2019 and buy a quality used full size pick up on the cheap. This is the worst time in all of history to buy a truck. However, Congratulations you two, good work on doing your do diligence....
I regret getting rid of my 90 hardbody the odometer stopped working at 260k miles and started everytime. I did however but a 2019 TB with 15k miles for 42k before the price gouging.
Thanks Mark! Yea we’ve been saving for a while…prices we’ll hopefully get much better in a few years! The truck market is insane at the moment and we’re well aware that we had to overpay. Good luck!
Thanks Jonathon! When we did our research we found the most positive feedback with Ford! Still a lot of other great trucks out there but we’re really happy with our purchase!! 🙌🏽
Yea it was a drag for the most part but we finally found a good one! If we could have waited we would have but glad to get on the road soon! All the best Darren! Enjoy your F450, that’ll tow anything!! Haha
Should a bought Cummins Ram!! Y'all won't be able to afford the gas for that wet spaghetti noodle. Even an eco boost diesel would have been strong enough to pull that camper with better MPG. Hope y'all enjoy!
I knew what it was just from the outline. I upgraded to the Diesel version and towing is a breeze. Happy to offer any suggestions or talk trucks anytime. #truckGang
Honestly dealerships are the worst and especially during this time. Private party is the way to go, especially if you have a family member that's a mechanic that can inspect it for you. But congrats on the truck!
Right on guys Ford good choice you will be happy gas that thing up and hit the road. So were you up at the Roseville auto mall in calit? Or do all dealer ships look the same ha ha. Enjoy your adventure
Yes Kevin that was Roseville! We didn’t end up going with Future of Ford but we checked out most of the dealerships at that auto mall!! Thanks, all the best! 🤙🏽
We got a 2019 Ford F-350 dully to pull our 5th wheel last year. It’s a great truck and has the ratings to pull 15,000 pounds that our 5th wheel weighs.
Haha thanks Joe!! We’re just stoked we don’t have to stress about our tow situation 😂 this is our first real truck so we’ll see how it goes! So far we like the way it drives! All the best!
In my 61 years I've had them all and Ram has been the best for me ...Congratulations on your Ford ....

6.2L in the 2500 is a great motor - super reliable. Congratulations!
Good to know Joe! Super pumped about it!!
PERFECT!!! 👍👍
Heck yea!
Cheers! :)
Yahoo! Now you guys can get on the road!!!
Yayyy!! Thanks Christine, we’re so excited to get back to the road!
The added weight of the tow vehicle and larger brakes is well with the upgrade.
Love the new ride. I guess Nathan has to wait a little longer for the 80 inch tv
Haha that’s right Timothy! That’s not on the list of priorities atm! Cheers!
That was one of the most entertaining videos on RUclips I’ve watched. Keep up the creativity and energy. Looking forward to more future content. As a GMC guy, I won’t hold it against you for buying a Ford. Haha.
Thanks Michael, we having fun with it no doubt! Ford strong 😂
I love your energy - just found your channel and subscribed. Hope the new truck works out well for you! Safe travels :)
Haha thanks Russ! All the best to you!! Cheers!
Lmao!! I didn’t expect at 10:00 🤣🤣🤣
Haha thanks JJ! Might have gone a little overboard with that skit 😂
HI. New subscrber here. Love your truck.
Thanks for supporting Shirley! All the best!
Thanks for the support! Indeed, it is the worst time to buy a truck haha but we gotta keep living our lives and traveling! All the best!
Congratulations to both of you so beautiful truck. I am so jealous I've been wanting to have f250 but I can't afford it. Have fun with it.
Thanks Mark! Yea we’ve been saving for a while…prices we’ll hopefully get much better in a few years! The truck market is insane at the moment and we’re well aware that we had to overpay. Good luck!
Congrats guys!!
In my opinion Ford probably makes the most solid gas engine powered trucks out there. Still love my Cummins powered trucks though 🤠
Thanks Jonathon! When we did our research we found the most positive feedback with Ford! Still a lot of other great trucks out there but we’re really happy with our purchase!! 🙌🏽
I quit searching after a week and just ordered an F450. I have to wait but dealing with all those salesmen trying to get info drove me nuts lol
Yea it was a drag for the most part but we finally found a good one! If we could have waited we would have but glad to get on the road soon! All the best Darren! Enjoy your F450, that’ll tow anything!! Haha
Beautiful truck !! I love my F250, 6.2 gas. I pull a 10,000lb 5er with it. I'm sure your truck will serve you well.
Thanks Bill, we’re really excited about having such a powerful truck! Should do the job no problem with our little 28 footer 💪🏽
Congratulations Badass
Thanks David, we finally did it! Haha
Should a bought Cummins Ram!! Y'all won't be able to afford the gas for that wet spaghetti noodle. Even an eco boost diesel would have been strong enough to pull that camper with better MPG.
Hope y'all enjoy!
Haha working out well so far! Cheers Garrett!
Great choice!
Thanks Tim, we’re stoked!!
About damn time !!!
Heck yea Carlos, it was a long time comin’ 🤙🏽
I knew what it was just from the outline. I upgraded to the Diesel version and towing is a breeze. Happy to offer any suggestions or talk trucks anytime. #truckGang
Honestly dealerships are the worst and especially during this time. Private party is the way to go, especially if you have a family member that's a mechanic that can inspect it for you. But congrats on the truck!
Another subscribe from Brazil. Love u guys!! Come visit Rio de Janeiro.❤️
Cheers thanks!
The KYD folks had a bigger gas tank installed. If I ever get my Ford F250 dream truck I think a bigger tank would be better.
That would be a really nice addition, we’ll definitely consider it if it’s not too pricey to do! Thanks!
Bummer I live in Roseville close to the mall. Would have liked to take you guys out for coffee and chat.
Glad you got something your happy with
We got a 2019 Ford F-350 dully to pull our 5th wheel last year. It’s a great truck and has the ratings to pull 15,000 pounds that our 5th wheel weighs.
Awesome set up Shelley! We’re stoked to have more towing capacity! 🙌🏽
im glad you got a truck
Thanks, we stoked!
I'm a Dodge guy myself. And I'm just glad you didn't get a Ridgeline.
We're stoked with our choice so far!
I am soooo glad you guys got a new tow vehicle. That Escalade was making me nervous buuuuuutttt…. I am also so sad you got a Ford
Haha thanks Joe!! We’re just stoked we don’t have to stress about our tow situation 😂 this is our first real truck so we’ll see how it goes! So far we like the way it drives! All the best!
Great video.
Thanks Larry! All the best!
Awesome!!!
Is this means you guys are planning to upgrade your trailer? Hmmmm!
Not any time soon, but it’s something we’re thinking about 🤔
Congrats y’all I would of picked a Ford diesel also for towing cheers to ur next chapter
Thanks George! We went with gas because it was within the budget but we might consider upgrading to diesel if it makes sense down the road! Cheers!
