I own the husqvarna ts-348-xd. I bought mine 3 years ago. After cutting grass today i have 98 hours on it. My warrenty will expire in a few months. Here is my review of my machine. Mine cost 3'800 dollars with tax when i bought it. This machine is a beast. It starts instantly everytime. And when you engage the blades' it cuts like no tomorrow. It has the heavy duty fabricated deck. The deck is loud while cutting because of the high lift blades that come on the machine. I changed to non high lift blades and it is much quiter. There is no shortage of power from the kawasaki 730-v engine. The locking rear end has been more usefull than i could have ever imagined. The times i have gotten stuck i just flip the switch and i'm instantly unstuck. The headlights do not impress me. The front bumper works as intended. But will easily be bent from side to side. Because of the thin mounting arms. It has a metal hood. Not fiberglass or plastic like other machines. This machine can mow in reverse. This machine has cruise control. If you turn off the blades and set the parking brake. You can get off the machine and let it run while you do whatever you need to do. I like that feature. While the machine comes with a three year warrenty. The fabricated deck has a lifetime warrenty. And it is thick steel. I bought this machine because my property is very hilly. A light duty riding mower was not going to survive very long on my 1-1/2 acre property. Almost forgot the high back seat with the arm rests. It looks stylish. But i don't find it all that great. For the money... it is a great machine. I have a john deere dealer a few miles down the road. I was able to compare what john deere had for the same money as the husqvarna.there was no comparison. But to get a john deere with anything close to the build specs of my husqvarna. Was going to cost me almost 8'000 dollars. I have always bwdn a john deere fan. But i'm not paying that much money for green and yellow paint. John deere is like harley davidson. They are living on their name. There is equipment out there today that is just as good or better for a lot less money. I highly recommend the big husky if you need a riding mower in the 4'000 dollar range. And if anyone knows of a better mower in this price range. Tell me what it is i will go look at it tomorrow.

We’ll said. Coming from a John Deere GT 225 the Husqvarna TS 348 was my only option, anything close with Green paint would run 6-7 grand. I’m very happy with my decision. Only complaint would be the position of the locking dif switch, knocked the rocker part off luckily found it next mow.

75 hours into it and it runs great. Rugged acreage, steep, blackberries, scotch broom, it’s a work horse. Design issues, stamped grass height would better than stencil white,,,first spilled gas, #’s are gone. Also, gas in my oil in my float bowl. Yes fresh ethanol free fuel, yes fuel stabilizer, yes run it every weekend. Anyway, easy fix and back up. Great unit!

I have the 48" cutting width and the Briggs V-Twin rated at 24 HP. It now has 105 hours. The only problem I've had was the grey plastic switch in the starting wiring harness. I replaced it quickly and cheaply and now works great. Oh yeah, the RF headlight bulb keeps burning out. Not a problem, as I quit mowing at 2 AM anyway.

I recently purchased a new Husqvarna TS142. All though i only have 10 ten hours on it. i love it. The only negative is that the gas sight window is very difficult to read. Viewing U-Tube videos, every owner complains about the gas indicator. Husqvarna needs to improve on that. Otherwise, completely satisfied with my purchase.

I bought the 348xd a few years ago and love the power i actually pull the throttle back 1/4 inch . Theres a few other details like under the seat if you run out of gas flip a lever and theres a reserve tank within the tank to get you back , the blades have a more aggressive pitch creates alot more wind to throw debris farther , because of govt regulations they tightened HP ratings im thinking these are closer to 26 HP compared to 10 years ago ratings . Do you know if any older Snow blowers mount to it ?

I just bought a TS148X and I think it's good compromise between the 354XD and the TS142 while still being somewhat affordable. The only things so far I think could be better is the fuel gauge (not the end of the world), the fact that the highest cut is barely 4'" and the turning radius could be a bit tighter (I had a cheap Troy-Built and it turned on a dime). Otherwise the Kawasaki engine is very powerful and smooth, not too loud, the deck is reinforced, there's 3 blades, you cover a lot of ground fast. I used to use a push lawnmower and it would take me 4 hours. Now it takes me under 40 minutes.

The biggest issue I have is Husqvarna does not have a service manual available, at least not to the public, I don't mind paying for one as a lot of users don't perform their own maintenance, I was doing small engine repairs 50 years ago. All in all, it is a great tractor. Mine is about 5 years old now. The transmission oil change should be included in the maintenance.

The residential riding tractor mowers don't have serviceable transmissions. They are sealed at the factory and the oil isn't supposed to be changed. I have a Husqvarna riding lawn tractor and did change the tranny oil. After 8 years and about 150 hours, the original oil didn't look that bad. When I reassembled the tranny after the change, I didn't notice that the drive belt was off the pulley, so I ended up smoking it and had to replace it. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend that anyone change this oil. If you blow up the tranny, get a replacement or a new machine.

Great video, although you didn’t mention anything on its actual garden tractor abilities. Is this machine capable of a snow plow, box blade etc.. garden tractors were built for the intention of not only being used to cut grass. Although the frames on these machines ain’t built for much, I’ve seen transmission mounting brackets and sections of the frame brake during normal use! These machines use the Sam chassis as the lt models and that’s the truth. If your gonna pay so much for a new machine that’s frame is only capable of holding the rider. You might as well buy and old garden tractor that’s actually was intended to work hard.

I have a 4 Year old 348 XD and here is the problems I have had, front wheel fell off at start of second year, I don't trust the clip design that holds the front wheels on. Front LED lights no longer work, I believe the vibration cracked the Boards the LED's are mounted on. VERY little padding in the set, I added a medical cushion to help,,but seat suck's. Great tranny, motor and traction, K66 tranny. I paid $3,400 four years ago and it did come with the CETEK charging battery system, which the mew ones do not come with. Also rear tires are quality and huge. Would I buy again, not sure, with a much better seat, depending on price,,,probably.

I have liquid filled ag tires with wheel weights on mine (no chains) and have pulled my neighbors 2WD crew cab F-150 up our street backwards during a heavy snow we had last winter. Because his 2WD, limp wristed, pretty boy truck couldn't make it on it's own, lol😂!! Buy a Chevy or a Yota for God's sake people!! Anyways, our street is absolutely ridiculously steep, aprox. 35*! This little beast drug that truck about 200yds. up the hill to the top of our street where it flattens out with out skipping a single beat. Where using the same tractor I plowed a "launching pad" for everyone to use to get a running start pulling out of our street. I mean when it was pulling it absolutely gave no fornications that the truck was was back there! It just flat out pulled!! Without a single wheel spin, hesitation, or anything (I did have the locker engaged of course). Plus I only weigh 150lbs. so it ain't like i was really helping the traction much. So long story short yes it will climb pretty much anything you need it to climb! This GT is an absolute beast and for the money you seriously can't beat it!

It's a glorified lawn mower. The frame sucks, the transmission is weak, and the engine has an oil consumption issue. The fix from Kawasaki is to run heavyweight oil 20w50 to be specific. The deck alone is too heavy for the weak frame. I'm a mechanic at a ex huskvarna dealership.
