The is a SPOILER Review and Deep Dive of ACOTAR.
I am deeply in love with the World of Sarah J Maas. Over the next few months I want to read all of the ACOTAR books and have discussions with you about them.
A NOTE ON COMMENTS: I am happy to entertain any kind of debate and learn how you all feel about this series.
However, please only offer your opinion if you have read the whole series and have seen the whole trajectory of each character. It's not that I don't care how you feel, it's just not where I am taking this series of reviews.

I absolutely adore Nesta. I always liked her, but especially after reading ACOFAS and getting to be more in her head, I love her even more. She is such a unique and complex character, and she reminds me so much of my younger self. I cannot wait for her story to be told.
I love your take on this series. I'm excited for the rest of this deep dive 🙂

I'm so glad! I am halfway through ACOMAF. Taking my time to soak it all in. She is very interesting.

So I read this series exactly as they came out, loving ACOTAR. It was the first fantasy I’d read for probably decades, and I loved the romance aspect of it. I re-read it just before ACOMAF came out, and at that stage, I didn’t know anything about ACOMAF (yay for me, because I didn’t have spoilers). But something happened to me when I reread ACOTAR. I read Tamlin very differently. I started to see Tamlin as controlling, jealous, which is the early stages of grooming before emotional abuse becomes physical abuse (I know this, from my first marriage). And I saw this special something coming from Rhysand, the real way that he treated her. By the time I finished my reread of ACOTAR, I was absolutely crushing on Rhysand, and I had this hope that I wold get more of him in ACOMAF. You could not imagine my joy, when I finally read ACOMAF when it came out, and Rhysand and Fayrah got together.
I also have seen so many polarising opinions over these books, and it’s ok, I think reader’s own romantic experiences or lack of romantic experiences; and beliefs, will contribute to how you feel about these characters. For me, I know that sometimes we don’t always get it right the first time. Plus, I’ve been reading darker books (Sherilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunters) and TV shows (Vampire Diaries, where I’m team Damon; Buffy, where I’m team Spike) for many years, Where authors blur good and evil.

I still need to pick up this series. I am soon the fence about it but I think I will pick it up and actually read it soon.

I started this series knowing nothing about it. Thought ACOTAR was ok, but man did I LOVE ACOMAF. Can’t wait for your next video

Thank you! Honestly, this whole video series is so I can review ACOMAF. But I had to start here so we know what the beginning was like. That's why I think Sarah was so brave. To give us this first novel that is just mediocre, so she can really rip away our expectations

The Book Refuge I almost didn’t read the second book but luckily my library had it and I wasn’t reading anything else. I had no idea going into it that Rhys becomes a love interest. At first I was like wth is going on but that quickly turned into yes give me more!
