I find it so incredibly charming that Arch's fluffy avatar is disputing the claims of Skaven and putting down Skavenslayer's deeds and death as myth and drug abuse. I can almost envision his character in actual cannon doing so, being a well accepted scholar who doesn't appear in public and helps hide the deeds of Skaven within the empire.
It's what I like about Arch's lore vids. He's not just some dude reading the wikipedia page; he's a character that adds his own flavor to the things he says.

By the time I found this channel I was already well versed in 40k and fantasy lore. It's nice to have someone re-enforce that you're correct though. Oh no, it’s actually quite the opposite. To forge even just one runic weapon, let alone several takes months at the least, and centuries at the most. And with the Runefangs being made from Gromrill, a metal only found in one spot in the entire world, it wasn’t exactly easy to get all of the materials at once, just melting the stuff takes forever and with special runic forges to build enough heat.
I imagine the dwarves are shaking their head and regretting their decision about handing over the swords. I imagine that they will regret it when the swords eventual usage against them by these incompetent emperors.
This animation always makes me think about the first Warhammer video game I ever owned "Warhammer, in the shadow of the horned rat" on the ps1. It was pretty awesome for the time period and this reminds me of the caravan paymaster animation.
I wonder what the high elves think of the runefangs, though they may not be of elven design and forge, they are undoubtely weapons of incredble powerful arcane artifice.
I imagine something similar to monkeys with lightsabers: Undeniably brilliant pieces of craft, wasted on clumsy creatures who can't do much more than either flail it around or fall and die on it by accident. Or simply a tragic waste of resources that had to be expended in order to make something so insipidly mundane as mere human-usable longswords, forced to be balanced in a way that accounts for humanity's revolting lack of dexterity and poor hand-eye coordination.
I had to look up about this Alaric fellow, I had completely forgotten about the Nemesis Crown campaign. Now I was a straight 49K player so I remember that was after the Eye of Terror campaign, but I can't remember if that was before or after the Storm of Chaos fuster cluck. All I remember was my friends who did play Fantasy complaining that magic was made ungodly powerful around then.
