But thats the point. The same thing happens when you study everything in a topic and go to the other, you forget everything about the first one. If you do a bit at a time, you’ll forget just a bit and as you said you “realise”.
If the topics build on each other you can’t really do that. Also, some exams are structured in a way that questions of the same topic are together. Maybe this gives better retention tho, never tried it
The reason is because sometimes it's easier to do things when you take a break from it and come back. However, I feel like it wouldn't help much if you're still studying.
@@NerdyMystic09 True. It feels like more “I’m not feeling this topic so I’ll come back to it later” and not some revolutionary technique to get perfect scores
One of the reasons it works is probably training your brain for task switching. Normally you will have trouble switching between different topics quickly unless you practice it. A jeopardy champion absolutely destroyed the game by learning in this way because he could jump around the board to get all the topics high value questions before everyone else could get to them.
doing it like this should still benefit you more though…if they all build on each other. Studying a bit of each and recycling back through, you’ll be able to actually see how they connect, the interactions, HOW / where/why they are building upon each other.. which in turn will actually help you grasp the individual concepts/modules by themselves, in a much deeper way than memorization. It would help you ACTUALLY understand and learn it (and hopefully all of the modules individually entirely as well)… idk I think the fact they build on each other makes this perfect, no? Especially if you’ve already learned the stuff and sort of seen the connections and how they work. If it’s ur first time seeing the content then no😂 this won’t work. You’d need to go through one by one
Also known as “spaced repetition”, it has been shown to improve recollection and memorizing of topics, such as chapters in a textbook, And even phrases in a new language.

This is great but it I wouldn’t suggest it for classes such as History, chemistry etc. that requires you to know specific dates, goes with a timeline and makes you build up onto the information you learned with every chapter or unit. It can confuse you a lot.
My mom taught me this method when I was young and now I follow it through till now (8th) and I'm still the best in my class. This is by far the best trick that can be used for topics, chapters and even subjects. Though some people find it hard as they mix up the information that's why I follow this for subjects. This actually works. Also, advice if you know nothing for the exam. Start from the beginning. Simple things and understanding them quickly gives you momentum to keep getting better in preparation. I’m doing it for all 5 of my exams next week, especially my legal studies final.
Yo Gohar this is actually a fire tip. I had an electricity quiz about 1 month ago which covered 2 topics and I completely failed it (40%) because I studied each topic individually on the NIGHT before the quiz. I’ll come back to tell yall my grade and test out if this method actually works.
