Hi Mrs. Jamie! I dont know if you remember me but I worked at the Ukulele Store in Hawaii and had a lovely time with ya! Thanks for teaching me how to play the guitar like a gosh darn genius hehe
Thanks, for the reply. Actually, DDUUDUDU without mentioning how to count. The rhythm you explained, makes sense and I can follow. I am 60 years old and can understand better with counting instead of down down down up up without counts. Thanks again.
You might be digging in too deep. Lightly brush the strings, don't stick the pick too far in. Also, bend your wrist pointing up, just a bit, as you strum up.
Yeah, this strum sounds familiar. Strumming is where I need help the most. Thank you!

Jeremy! Great to hear from you. Were you in the store with that great little electric made from mango wood? Sweet instrument.
Thanks Jamie
You're welcome.
Thanks, I wonder, how I should count,
DDUUDDUUD in 4/4 time for the song, To Love somebody by Bee Gee.
It should be DDUDDU -- 1 2 & 3 4 & -- or DDUUDU -- 1 2 & 3 & 4 &, the three is a rest.
Thanks, for the reply.

How to play this pattern when 1 bar have 2 note
It's a tricky one to divide in half. Try playing DDU for that one measure.
