It is so hard! Seriously I had no idea the emotional turmoil this could bring on. The guilt, the resentment the guilt. Hating that your not the first... so many different emotions I wasn’t prepared for.
Finally, someone being honest about being a stepmom. I thought I knew what it was all about...yeah, no, I had no idea. Non-stepmoms love to tell me I'm dramatic or have no idea what I'm talking about, just because I am a stepmom and not a bio mom. Infuriating to say the least. Thankfully, I have a very easy-going relationship with everyone in our unit and we all support each other. But this is not for the faint of heart.
My steps are grown and I am the very last to know anything. And I truly believe that it’s because I “am” the step person. Even/especially in my husband’s eyes. If it were his children’s mother and they were still married, that situation would never be a thing.
Ur channel has completely saved my way of thinking and handling situations I feel that are out of my control and although it may be hard for you sometimes to keep this channel just know there are stepmoms out there like myself that appreciate your content
I absolutely love her # new bonus mom and this sh!t is hard,,, love them but I’m struggling real facts … I honestly feel like no matter what I do I’m wrong!!! Always feel like I’m swimming on the perimeter of there lives … 🤦🏽♀️ I’m taking the advice and trying to have empathy,, but damn I’m drowning over here…# needalife jacket😐
It's so reassuring to hear that others feel the same, like you I love my step daughter but don't love being the step mum to a child (with a Narc bio Mum and all the issues that come with it especially when she is mimicking those behaviours she is witnessing!) It's sometimes a case that I am sure so many bio and step parents can empathise with of I love you but don't really like you/your behaviour right now. People who tell you 'you knew what you were signing up for' have no clue lol as had I known I can't totally say I would still have taken the journey!
I honestly need more of this, rather than how to deal with it. I know how negative it can get if you only talk on your channel about the bad things, but your honesty is appreciated. Like you say it's hard to admit to the world I hate being a stepmom and I have to do it forever. I love my husband and many times I do it for him because he is awesome with me and my family, but very often when I have a problem with my stepdaughter or she is just annoying me I wonder, where is your mom and why do I have to deal with you right now? I did not always felt like that and this relationship has been deteriorating more than improving. I came to youtube trying to find some sympathy because is not easy to pretend and I feel alone with my feelings, and guilty!
I think the best videos to watch, are the ones that are honest open, real and raw. Thank you so much for being real. Its healing to see the humanness in you.. Its like I'm not alone.

I love your realness ii am a fulltime step mom ..Mon -friday .i love my stepkids my situation i feel like i do all the work she gets all the benefits ..me and my husband fight a lot because real Mom totally takes advantage of Dad. We do everything her nothing even financially.. she sees her kids 2 days a week and always manages to cause problems.its very painful when your the stepmom and you do all the work of Mom and whsn an emergency arises over kids your totally cut out of the equation .Because your not the real Mom ..

Before i bacame a step parent I was engaged to be married and this girl came from out of no where and takes my fiance away from me tries to get me fired from my job and became pregnant I was so devastated that I needed to go to a therapist. Years afterwards I got married to my fiance and became a step mother I have been with my husband for 22 years and married for 5 years. And I still need to know everthing about being a step mother and how I can help with my busband's son's education
