masterpiece is this song and the movie Man on Fire and this song fit like a glove, yes I listen to it, have you seen the version of man on fire with a different ending? ruclips.net/video/j5RQWlXoD_s/видео.html&ab_channel=MichaelYee, the quality is poor, only those who bought the original dvd can see it well
I just watched a video about old child stars and where they are now and I cannot believe this is Curly Sue... when I tell you that this is still a child hood favorite movie of mine you don’t even know! It doesn’t surprise me either that she grew up being able to sing so well because even as a kid she sang that star spangled banner very good on the movie! She’s actually the reason I learned the song... lol wow. #Memories!
I’m currently going through a rough patch in my life, trying my chance at sobriety again. This song inspires and moves me. It gives me the courage to face my demons and to find my own blue bayou. Thank you, Alisan Porter!
@@baleighpatton1306 what a beautiful thing to say 😭❤️ I hope others show you kindness in life the way you show it to strangers! May you always find your blue bayou as well 🥰
@@baleighpatton1306thank you, I'm so grateful to be able to announce I've found my blue bayou and more. I encourage all others to please keep seeking within themselves the same happiness they think can only be found in others. I'm a living testament that imperfection can still contain some form of perfection. Keep your head up.
what's so utterly adorable is that only until she was completely finished did she realize that all four chairs had turned early on for her...she was so completely into her performance. That breathless humble look at 01:26 when she was done, realizing, *knowing* that she had perfectly, utterly, flawlessly _nailed_ it...that look is the cherry on top of the performance! 😅😍💯🎤👍
I’m playing a drinking game. Every time I replay that falsetto at the end, I take a shot. I’ve already been to the hospital for alcohol poisoning... twice.
We accidentally, but very pleased to catch Alison the night this aired. It's the only time that we ever watched The Voice, I voted for her every chance I got. In fact from the very first note of mom's favorite song she said that she could tell that Alison was going to win that season! Thanks mom, I miss you. Thankyou too for whoever posted this.
This blind audition showed up on Facebook 4 years ago on my feed and it made me tune into that season for the rest of the season. Incredible voice by an amazingly humble person.
Gutsy move, choose an iconic song made famous by an iconic singer. And nailed it. All that volume, all that range, without yelling or screeching...what an amazing singer.
I instantly feel so close et connected emotionally to people who, like I do, think this is the best audition ever. She's also got this magic. Her authenticity shines so clearly through the simplicity of her great talent. And such incredible technic, such true artist, and probably an amazing human being. I didn't know her, I just discovered her this morning :p
2020 i heard alison for 1st time, crazy, she is my top singer in all genre, absolutely amazing. blue bayou just became my fav song, wow she is absolutley amazing..................................
best vocal audition freeking everrrr!🎤😍👍 Her natural break is so gorgeously perfect ugh! Not to mention her intonation, sustain, projection, and octave reach. 😍🎤👍
As good as she could sing when she was a little girl. You know that she would do something later on. Having such a good voice in the short part in the movie. You could tell that she will be able to sing very well when she got older.
Can’t believe she was the leading actress in that movie Curly Sue. She was also in an episode of The Golden Girls, S7 (1991), where she played Blanche’s granddaughter and had performed in a beauty pageant (so random)
Truly a beautiful voice. I’m not a pro singer but I’m the best singer in my family and They often want me to sing songs to them. I would adore it if she would just sing a song to me.
It’s because you’re hearing someone functioning in a God-given gift....No gift from God can be anything but powerful. God gave her that voice she’s always had it-so the beauty, the pure beauty in the fullness of that beauty is what you’re hearing and it will move your soul. Much like Whitney Houston on Michael Jackson-the power and they’re singing and even for Michael his dancing, is because it is given from God. He allows us to choose how we will use it, but he never takes it back even if we don’t choose well. Anyway my point was to say you were moved to tears because everything in her voice, her emotion the control of her voice the sound of her voice are all flowing out of a gift from God. You can’t help but be moved.
I don't know this song at all, but all I can say is "wow". As I am listening to this song I am literally saying out loud "no f**king way". What on earth is she doing having to perform for a show like that. She should have been touring years ago. I don't know I've heard a voice like hers before. Calling her voice flawless doesn't do it justice.
Is anyone here listening to this masterpiece in 2024?

I still think this is the best audition I’ve ever heard. They were already all turned when she hit those insane high notes.
oh it's easily the best audition out there... she was so far above everyone else... the fact she isn't more famous is a sin
Still can't believe that she was Curly Sue, so awesome to see as I grew up with that movie.
That is one incredible vocalist.
i love this audition still to this day.
And she won too!
That shot at 1:03 was phenomenal. It was almost like they were telling us straight up that this is the winner lol

I'm pretty sure that's her. My sister mentioned that she was on The Voice.
Kenneth Wood it’s no pretty sure...it IS her
Kenneth Wood she was literally the star of the show
@@drooskidrew4542 I never watch the show. I was flipping thru channels, heard her sing (and only her) and said "there's the winner". Then she won!!

There is no way I could get through life without Alisan.
She killed it! Shuffle gave me blue bayou and I remembered that song is only in my music cause this audition floored me. Brava

Girl....you blew me away! Literally...blew me away!!!!
Cannot stop listening to this. Her tone, control, and pitch are so beautiful and precise. Stunning voice.
I’ve NEVER heard a voice as beautiful as this.
Wow! That performance gave me the shivers! One of the best voices I've ever heard. Her control of tone is just amazing. 😃💕👍
One of the best vocals EVER
ACTUALLY THE BEST! CARLY ROSE FROM X FACTOR HAD AN AMAZING AUDITION ALSO BUT THIS IS WOW ON ANOTHER LEVEL ABSOLUTE PERFECTION
Watch this everyday, appreciate the beauty and soul of it and let it shine
she is by far my favorite Voice winner, but she was also on Broadway so i feel like she had an advantage
She’s so beautiful and her voice is so soothing and relaxing it’s like history was made I fell in love
Anyone else here in 2020 because they still think about this performance? ❤️

Why did this make me cry lol maybe it's because I just remember her standing up in bed and singing in Curly Sue 🥺
claypool4208 she said she was an actress in the movie. I should probably watch it cause I did like a lot of movies that John Hughes directed.

She was the best on the voice ❗️
The most dominant season. Literally everyone knew she was going to win the show once she finished her audition. That range is fuckin crazy.
Had no idea she grew up to be a singer. Love this
The sung that better than underwood and all the other singers. I keep listening to her. AWESOME!!!!

I just realized that was the little girl from the movie Parent Hood and Curly Sue.
Her notes are higher than my grades
She played on Don't tell mom the babysitter is dead.
She was not in Don't Tell Mom The Baby Sitter's Dead.... her biggest movies were Parenthood and Curly Sue
Dam this was good.
