  • Some fantastic previously unreleased outtakes from Pink Floyd's performance at Abbaye de Royaumont in 1971. This compliments what was broadcast, that being two songs which had an official release: Cymbaline ( • Pink Floyd - 'Cinq Gra... ) and Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun ( • Pink Floyd - 'Cinq Gra... ). This outtake footage consists of these two songs from cut parts or completely different angles. This would make for a fantastic project combining the two sources. Big thanks to all involved in this release, which can be found in lossless over at Raving And Drooling here: ravinganddrool...
    Notes:
27 minute outtake reel that surfaced recently, thanks to INA tirelessly digitising their remaining archives.
Excepts of the same well known songs - Cymbaline and Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
The footage was deinterlaced in AVISynth to reduce aliasing and resized it to 1440 x 1080p in Premiere. Nothing beyond that and converting the video and audio to lossless formats in Handbrake. The intent was to not stray too far from the original file in terms of changes.

    Early Floyd was best!
There was a very nice melodic JAM from the COMMITTEE LP that REMINDED ME of a long lost Floyd song that I heard on the radio 32 years ago. It had an upbeat baroque-like keyboard melody and a trippy guitar solo with few lyrics. This tune should've been released around '68-'69 and was 5- 6 minutes long. Does anyone know what this song's title might be?

I listened to this UPBEAT melody from the COMMITTEE LP many times and after a while,I can actually hear the ESSENCE of the melody of this song that I'm trying to find the official title for!
