I don't get how that would work, like we would have artifacts for idk geo for example, then we would switch to dendro and we would loose dmg bcs we don't have the right artifacts for this element
Your content is so high quality it's actually insane, I'm grateful you aren't rushing because every visual, every joke, the concepts you're coming up with, your own personality, everything is just perfect and I'm glad to have discovered this gem of a channel
I'm happy to announce that Arlecchino uses a scythe and her Normal Attack can hook enemy in. AND It's still categorized as a Polearm. This video ages like fine wine.
I thought a cool idea would be that knifes have 2 equipable slots allowing to mix weapons. This would allow for a elemental mastery knife and a crit damage knife to be equipped at the same time allowing for multiple lesser bonuses. Also to make using the same weapons useful a set you may have the weapon ability locked to a set bonus or partially locked (weaker ability unlocked while a stronger ability locked). Not sure if balanced
@@malikai_63 okay!so it would be a pair when you roll but the stats are different?WAIT IS THE MAIN STATS RNG TOO!?i mean i they were like the same main stat it would be a free r2 which i thinks doesn’t really benefit hoyoverse
7:48 That already exists, the Rift Wolf enemies penetrate your shields and stack bleeding effects per landed attack. It would be interesting to have bleeding based weapons/characters though.
Im honestly so happy to see another person actually talk about thoughts and ideas bc i've thought about weapon stuff for awhile but never seen other peoples ideas despite looking. One thought I had for staffs was that they would work as what claymores are to swords. Giving higher but slower elemental output and allowing to aim or charge like bows. Something similar to that would be the fact that the fatui have some weird weapons like a rifle, staffs, guns, gauntlets, hammer ect. Something i haven't seen is the ideas of Shields as a weapon whereas you take a defensive stance with some relation to the current "shields" we have maybe having certain effects based on element/weapon/character. Think a heavy more defense actual tank esc character, think how mitachurls have shields and such. Speaking of we really dont have any heavy armored characters. I love wifus and husbandos but some nice heavy armor is fun.
I honestly love a majority of the ideas presented in this video. However, my problems with the combat lie within the AI mostly. They are sometimes really fun to fight with and at times really REALLY dumb. like a Hilichurl crossbow will take 6 seconds to shoot at you when it should be half the time. Even regular footsoliders take there precious time. Mitachurls and samachurls are good with 1st encounter attacks but then take awhile to react to you, when they should be constantly putting the pressure on you IMO. This is gonna be the same with every enemy they add unless they tune up the Ai. Shadowy Husks and Fatui Skirmishers are some of my favourites to fight cause they are unique to fight. only problem with them is the AI is terrible and takes awhile to react when it should be consistent. I dont mind the ronins either which are nobushis with elemental crossbows. Wish they had an element for each Kiragi though, that would've been fun to fight, with a unique style of fighting or weapon for there element. The type of gameplay combat loop I want to see within genshin is more hack and slash oriented and a bit of doom where I just tear enemies easily that are still a challenge to fight.
i think the AI in this game are suppose to be terrible, since this game is a casual game and most of the playerbase are not hardcore gamer and they mostly play on mobile. But i do think they should added select difficulty somehow, maybe not in the overworld but in spiral abyss or some type of combat focus domain
@@jinshimizu that is an unfortunate repercussion of being on mobile. However the AI shouldn't be intentionally designed terribly, like its not hard to learn how to dash dodge. I didnt mind them being dumb at the very low WLs but at higher, I expected more of a challenge. But you know, its a good thing they are dumb because the world drops are also trash so it compensates well. The hardest enemies in the game, even for myself would be a majority of the weekly bosses which is a good thing. They do very high damage to you if you dont react well and not everyone has or wants to run big PP number nuke teams and thats ok.
theoretically, if Enemies were to attack at double their current pace, stamina would be a massive issue. You can argue that with zhongli or any shielder this is mitigated, but its just that, mitigated. Their shields will falter twice as fast if you don't bother to dodge, and when can you really stop to attack when everything is constantly trying to hit you? You can also use characters to interrupt enemies perhaps, sure (CC skill, freeze or something to petrify/stagger them), but what of those who are immune to such an effect, especially when theres two or more? Players without shields are going to suffer more, and even with healers, at most, the damage you can take esp. in abyss at higher floors means you might get outpaced with the dmg you're taking, not to mention the amount of time potentially lost when you can not only dish out dmg, but also when you could replace the healer for a support char. that helps increase dmg output. This also just increases the time you might take just getting full stars on abyss, F12 most notably. Forgive me for taking an example from MHY's other game, but it is exactly why for a game like Honkai, enemies with fast ATK speed is fine, because stamina is a non-issue-- it is non existent. You can dodge indefinitely while still dealing massive dmg, not to mention dodging itself at the right time is actually rewarded by activating what is known as the character's ultimate evasion skill. For a game like Genshin where such a mechanic is not present, and that you have to be more mindful with your stamina usage, I believe this idea is just not feasible. Tl;dr this is a bad idea for genshin. Sounds good on paper, but theoretically, bad in practice.
One ability that I dream of seeing in genshin is a geo catalyst who casts a gravity orb that attracts enemies into that spot for some time and then explodes, Another would be a summoning type character, like Fischl, Amber, Itto, etc, but the summon actually helps in battle (My thought for this one was about a dendro male mage from fontaine who summons a nymph that fights with a rapier aplying dendro damage and being on the field for sometime)
Another great vid, keep it up! Just a comment: given what we know about dainsleif (defies the gods, has access to some weird power- which he used to inspect the First Field Tiller, disable Abyss traps, etc- and that in the trailer he says "we will defy this world with a power from beyond"), I think it's quite unlikely that he will have one of the 7 elements: it's most likely, as you said, that he will have his own power. What the specifics of that will be are, of course, unclear
I'm nearly certain that Dainsleif and Abyss!Traveller use Abyssal magic (so like an Abyss "element"). It also seems like the traveller's native element and perhaps an element associated with Celestia would be a "Light" element which we have sigils for in the game.
Well said, a lot of your ideas could breathe some much needed fresh air into combat. I think that a "Stance shift" function would be interesting. Similar to how bow users enter aimed mode, Childe and his melee mode, and even Itto and Raiden with their bursts, I think using the...left trigger? (I play on controller so idk what it is on keyboard lol) to enter a different stance would be interesting. It's an unused button on all characters except bow users so, I think the opportunity is there. It could burn stamina or count as a skill, but imagine something as simple as Traveler switching from regular sword stance to a backhanded stance where the combos do less damage, but are faster or elemental infused. Kuki could actually use that kunai whip she has. Or someone switching stance to a mode with a meh combo but that can deflect/reflect projectiles? But, all characters prior to this addition may be obsolete unless they got updated with stances too, which would add 2TB to the damn game so, yeah.
On parrying/"window of counter" in Genshin, the mechanic of "hitting when a light flashes and the enemy will get stunned and take more damage" is common in DOOM Eternal (bosses and Mauraders). The first of the kind, Marauders, were also controversial in DOOM Eternal due to having only one way to kill it effectively (otherwise the Maurauder hides behind the shield and take zero damage). Redesigned for Genshin, the enemy/boss must receive damage without the "window of counter" and the effect of a successful must be strong enough that players need to learn to take advantage of it (a few seconds stunned, increased damage taken, AoE damage to crowd control enemies).
I know this is kinda old by now, but I have a couple of comments: In terms of attackspeed, it can be a bit hard to balance cause of the elemental system, there already are instances in which it has shown that it isn't that good on some characters, like Yoimiya, too much attackspeed can mess with the way the elements are applied, specially with infused normal attacks, in which you may end up applying as an aura the element you want as the trigger, which would be a huge damage loss And about CD, we kinda have that already, in small ways, on the one hand we have the passive of the Sacrificial weapons, which is a reset of cool downs, and there's also the Thundering Fury artifact set, which reduces the cool down of your skill when you trigger certain reactions, and in pretty sure there are certain characters' passive that do something similar, as well as certain constellations, it's not the same as straight up cool down reduction like in League of Legends, but it shows that they're open to work in that direction and with the release of Dendro the TF set looks more viable than it has ever been
9:51 I think it would be more logical if he had no element. Him using the elements or having a vision would make him as Kazuha put it during the summer odyssey event “under the gaze of the gods” and Dainsleif wouldn’t like that. If he were to have an element he would sooner find a means to artificially use elemental power.
The Increase in subscribers are well deserved because of the effort you put in each video you make. Not only are they enjoyable but also very interestring.
Actually movement speed and stamina consumption is a consideration for abyss. Because characters like Heizou make dodging and running around to kill enemies on the other less of a pain
yeah and i could see that sort of buff actually breaking meta like with hu tao making her damage output/dps like 1.5x more and would be especially good for players without zhongli or c1 but would only increase possibilities for those who have both already
Yae Miko actually has that. Her skill allows you to freely move yourself without stamina consumption and restores some stamina. It's very useful in the abyss and the world. A lot of people fail to realize how useful it is because they're worried about big pp dmg. I'm not surprised.
OH how I wish they added Ultimate Evasions... As an Ex-Honkai Impact player I LOVED triggering the U.E and would think it could work with Genshin. Having an evasion button and a cooldown for it so it's not just being spammed, having to get the right timing to trigger it (much like Beidou and Yunjin's skill) and then getting some extra damage would be so nice! If people prefer not to have U.E there can be a way to switch it on or off in settings. I can picture a few example in my head: E.G. Zhongli U.E can petrify the attacking enemy for a short period of time whilst allowing Zhongli to start his auto attack from the 4th sequence. Yanfei's U.E can give her max seal's and her next attack will be a charged attack with no stamina consumed. Sayu's U.E can summon her daruma which will be a distraction and explode after a short period of time They can do so many new animations for characters too! I honestly don't think hoyoverse will put it in now but here's to hoping!
I think ur onto something with the changing of charge attacks. It's something I've thought about for a while actually. It would be nice if every character had a charge attack that suites their kit, personality, or both. Instead of just a stronger basic attack with a standard animation for their weapon typem. As an example Xiao's charge attack could be a spear slam with anemo AOE that sucks in enemies and launches him into the air so he can seamlessly transition into his plunge attack. And also as a bonus increase the multiplier for the next plunge attack. But because charge attacks cost stamina you have to use it sparingly. Another change I'd like to see is to how elements react with geo constructs. It's pretty bland that u just get a mini sheild for a specific element. Most u can do is either have an all geo team or use a single geo support (aka zonghli). But if fire hit a geo construct and it made the construct explode after a short delay, or electro hit it and it became a conductor that sent random electro shocks that hit enemies and also connected to other constructs (similar to hydro and electro), or if cryo hits a construct and it creates an ice puddle around the construct that causes enemies to "slip" and be put into a knockdown state. U get the idea 😂.
I really enjoy your videos, your production quality and ideas are all really great and your delivery is 10/10. I've had some similar ideas to what you suggested. In terms of new weapon types, I agree that the daggers (dual daggers?) could be a ton of fun as a sort of rapid melee attack with a ranged charge attack. Maybe the dagger could stick in the ground where you threw it. I'm picturing like an Electro dagger wielder who can create arcs of lightning between 2 or more thrown daggers, or a Pyro wielder who creates landmines for enemies to step on. Lots of fun possibilities. I also think a gun weapon (or crossbow?) could be a ton of fun, similar to the Adamant Rail in Hades. Something with semi- or full-auto attacks where you just hold down the button to barrage the enemy with shots would be super fun. Could even be limited with a reload mechanic. It'd definitely have a hard time meshing in with the fantasy vibe though, hahaha.
They probably will save the “5 star bennett” to the pyro archon since pyro visions usually base on attack and maybe the pyro archon would be DPS bennett
The gnosis from the archons are in a shape that reassemble chess pieces and (and for the lore people there's a strong evidence genshin is based on an ideology that uses chess pieces as a methapor) and there are 8 pieces, so is very likely (by what i heard from the lore people) there will be an eight element.
I wasnt sure after your last video if you were going to keep making content so high quality, i had your video saved in a playlist so i could check back if you made another video and seeing that youre back this is an easy sub. great stuff man much love!
I use to play Genshin from day 1 of the game up until Ayato, recently quitted for good because of nothing motivates me anymore, played the game for the combat and after 2 years of playing, having all my characters built up. I never really needed anymore character after Raiden, Ayato was like a random pull, after realizing the game doesn't need me to pull this new units or build any new until because my already built up units we're enough to do the abyss just fine. All throughout the games two years the games combat system which I use to adore haven't really had changes, I really don't know what "change" I was expecting, but then "Wuthering Waves" came out and it is also happens to be same as Genshin and Zelda being open world, but with 1000% better combat gameplay, it's more fast paced and really have more than just normal, skill, ultimate like Genshin had, it had built in Parry for all characters and some sort of summoning system and everyone can do double jump and ground slam attack. Genshin is still one of the best game but if Wuthering waves actually managed to pull the combat system off until the official release, it might just be the competition that Genshin gets, specially the combat system being more superior than Genshin.
My favorite idea is a character that disables elements or elemental reactions. They’d be anemo, but their burst or skill would create a vacuum, removing all swirlable elements and making it impossible to re-apply them temporarily.
that seems like it would be great in a pvp focused event and if there was a pvp focused event, instead of catering to whales who have c6 everything, you have to use a bunch of trial characters to make it fair
Ever since the trailer with important characters from the next regions, the twins (i forgot they're names) makes me think they would be like two characters in the slot of one. They would have they're separated weapons, artefacts, and element, you would change with one is active by the elemental skill (similar to Tartaglia skill) but with a short cooldown after change
2:41 this reminds me of a reverse disgaea situation. Specifically in Disgaea D2 (a sequel to the original disgaea) they added a new weapon to the format the tome. It was an inverse to the staffs that have always been in the game and what set them apart was that staffs were always a means to allow magic fighters to attack at a distance while a time user would be able to use magic in close combat situations. Also the tomes abilities were summon based with AOE properties baked in while staff users skills were typically projectile based that start out as single target but can grow into AOE magic with the use of extra MP.
about other elements : in the intro, the 2 siblings use ~light. the "unknown god" use orange-cube energy (chaos ?). this orange-cube energy can also be seen in the destruction of Khaenri'ah. we have the confirmation that the purple mud in the Chasm is also mad of elemental energy, so the elemental energy can have other forms than the 7 elements that have an archon.
one of the thing i want genshin to have in the future are aerial.combat, like how devil may cry and bayonetta work. Juggling enemies into the air and keep on combo-ing as long as you can with a cancel animation mechanic that reset your cooldown if you time it right, kinda like how enemy step in DMC work
10:15 a It’s pretty much confirmed that Dainsleif has an entirely new element from his player card that the CN release livestream provided (it’s how we know his constellation to be the Snake Ring constellation.) It’s a bunch of weird symbols that people have theorized to be coptic symbols of all things. What it actually is beyond that weird blue-black flame remains to be seen ofc
Deinsleif will definetly have a New element. You can See him using cosmic Like Powers multiple Times. Theres also 8 regions if you include keanriah = 8 Elements?
just found you out, but oh my god are your videos amazing its honestly criminal how small your channel is with how high quality your videos are keep up the great work man
I played genshin since the start I am also a major whale since I have every character except for 3 albedo, klee, and yoimiya. The game is going strong and I love it but it's got a bit of a character inflation issue, I have so many characters and so little resources and ability to obtain those resources that most of the characters I have are simply unusable at my world level which is the max I think of 10 or 11, just getting 1 character from 1-90 takes a week or more of resin to do and similar time frames with talent level, not to mention artifact farming which could take anywhere from 2 to 6 months if I want to be a perfectionist about it also not to mention that artifacts are the real beef to a characters stats yet take the most time to get. In regards to your new weapon class system I really like it mostly dagger weapon types as I have thought of something similar in a geo character that specializes in vertical terrain movement through the use of chain blades as a skill ability, aims like a bow or catalyst at a wall and fling up to it like a slingshot since I think climbing in genshin is nice but slow and tedious so it would be nice to have more variety in how to approach vertical terrain. Love the editing and topics in your vids I hope to see more!
Gauntlets would be amazing for those that dont have visions, I mean imagine having to fight an npc with elementally imbude gauntlets sure they cant control the element but they can hurt you with the element they have in the gauntlet
a quality of life idea; Being able to use one weapon for it's stats while using the visual model of a different one. That would be a pretty cool cosmetic feature.
A good idea for dainsleif is he would absorb any element he comes into contact with using his skill. You have pyro on a hilichirl and absorb it with his skill now his na and burst is pyro damage. His burst would be a non elemental black hole that explodes with the absorbed element
Speaking of dainsleif's mysterious element, i once "created" this element by myself, and instead of associating it to celestia, it would make more sense associating to khaenri'ah
It will be really interesting for different artifact stats such as def/energy recharge/Hp to have different mechanics in the game that would make the stats more useful rather then having them as simple scaling stats- For example - scenarios where it will be more beneficial for a character to have more hp/def on field then having damage stats - Currently these stats are mainly used for scaling where they would boost the power of the abilities of the characters - Better healing / Shields / Damage exc - But in reality the stat isn't really being used in any other way since most of the characters that scale with hp or defense are staying of field- essentially having no reason to have that much durability due to them avoiding all damage - them being off field -
tbf I'm only *really* interested in introducing new universal mechanics, not a new weapon or style of gameplay that I need to pull for new chars to have. Imagine if we placed a Block function on R (the Aim button, whatever), and blocking could only really reduce the dmg of a single hit, but if u parried it u gained a character-specific buff? Catalyst and Bow characters wouldn't have access to it, since bow characters can already aim, but catalyst users would just get a new skill - since mages are usually really wise or some shit idk. I really just wished Hoyoverse would introduce new mechanics, instead of just trying to innovate in old concepts
They could either add elemental burst combos with two or more characters in it or a switch mechanic that is commonly used in gacha game, for example if you meet certent requirements and you switch to a character, that character does a little something. It could be a buff or an attack, a heal or antyhing really
For combat, ive always wanted air combos or an air dash in genshin to make it more exciting, weapons are cool too, although the idea is still pretty vast and might not work for every character, especially the tiny ones but if it was a thing I definitely would get back into the game
Using movement abilities effectively makes me feel like I am doing awesome Persona level bs, especially with characters like Yae Miko where she does have an extremely tiny i-frame window, or where you could use her skill to completely sidestep combat entirely right before you finish an entire hoard of enemies with your burst. The most stylish movement skill I feel is Yelan's though. Very satisfying character to play
For weapon types, hoyoverse has already proven the idea that a character is not bound/ restricted by its weapon, not just from Heizous martial arts but with a lot of Honkai impacts valkyries. Kiana's Herrscher of Flamescion battle suit still equips twin pistols, but fights with a great sword and utilizes air combos like its devil may cry. Bronyas Herrscher of reason has her mech punching for her despite her using a cannon as her weapon, and Haxxor Bronya, again with cannons, uses akimbo p90's. one of Fu Hua's battle suits, despite still equipping gauntlets, switches between THREE weapons (chain whip, spear, and claymore). I know Honkai is backed by a different team within hoyo, but they still bounce off each others ideas from time to time. in this sense, i can totally see Scaramouche wielding a scythe in game as long as it isn't his "real" weapon, 'cause he can easily use a catalyst as a stat-stick to channel elemental power into the weapon, the same way Heizou channels Anemo into his fists.
I'd love something like a charged attack for claymores that worked like greatsword charged attacks from monster hunter. I want to stare into the enemy's soul while charging up a massive swing for half an hour
I've always wanted to see Gauntlets and Daggers myself, but one I rarely see anyone talk about... is WAR FANS! Melee flurry combos, charged attacks do a quick spin, and you can aim to throw them, but you must wait for each one to return (You're throwing two btw)
I’d want to weapons that allow the player to inflict corrosion on hit, but say, ruin robots, Rifthounds, and abyss mages are immune. Something like that would be cool.
A lot of the weapon braking new ground thing is done in a charicters charged attack, or elemental skill, or burst, for instance, instead of adding a scythe weapon, a charicter could swap fighting modes like Childe and use an elemental forged weapon, that or there skill summons staid weapon in general, or there elemental burst allows them to use the weapon As for the grapple thing, again, just think about a charicter with an elemental skill that grapples enemies, or a cytalist charge attack The norm can still be broken with charicters in terms of the pole arm stabbing style and the claymore attack It just depends on the charicter, not the weapon Kiki already throws knives, but it would be cool to have a catalyst charicter summon elemental knives for there abilites and combat This way it gives them more range of ability, and there knives by default have elemental effects tied to them The armor mechanic is a good idea, but in order to balance it out, you could rather spread the exstra stat perks across the charocters constelations (cause constellations are cracked, some charicters luteraly become healers, barbra reserects the dead, bennet converts other charicters elements into his own, and I don’t even need to mention ganyu.) that or, make 2 charicters whos abilites work in tandem to make this armor ability possible
As far as Dainsleif is concerned, i'm sure he said at some point that he doesn't get power from the elements, which means new mechanics should come in the future (for him at least).
dagger could be the inverse of claymore, fast but weak, charged attacks are aimed throws. gauntlet could work like fu hua from honkai but I find huge arms like carole pepper's is cooler. staff might as well be aimable catalyst. "wingardium leviosa" scythe could be continuous looping attacks (not stopping with 4th-5th attack) with high hits per second. dainsleif already demonstrated himself as catalyst that controls space/spatial force in cutscenes but we also seen yelan used magic despite being a human bow user so him using another weapon is possible. regarding attack speed stat, I don't know why it's rare. I want it to be a lot more common. after all, faster = more fun.
And dont forget whip or chain weapon thats a bit weak close but very strong mid to long range and can both launch or drag enemies close to you or use them as boulder to be tossed to group of enemies. Best weapon ever!!!
kind of already exists with kokomi to an extent. i could see mihoyo getting scrutinised for making another kokomi/clam character copy and especially if they are worse than them/not worth if you already have them even if you consider abyss needing 2 teams. they would likely get hate if it was a 4 star becayse "theyre not putting enough effort into 4 stars" and would also get a lot of hate if it was a 5 star because "i already have kokomi why would i need this character, not worth the primos unless you're a whale"
@@Awesoemfella I see. I don't have Kokomi so I didn't really think about that, but thank you for the information. But I thought of a different character that yet does not exist. An anemo shielder, details are something else to think about though.
It likely won't be treated as a new element and could honestly just deal physical damage (or maybe true damage? Like on skill or burst so that those can bypass phys resistances), but I'm pretty sure Dein is gonna use these blue-ish black probably abyss powers that he shows in some of his art.
scythe or just any weapon could bring debuffs to the game or new play-styles, the only “debuff” for enemies is just applying cryo to make enemies slower. maybe bleed, crippling or other debuffs that other rpgs games have. maybe another weapon could be a hammer that focus on AOEs? and about the element Urano, that could be for characters that are on Celestia than just for Dainsleif and the element could be a “glass cannom” type of element.
I think you should have mentioned enemies, because I feel like there's not enough unique enemy gimmicks, there's a few but I feel there should be some with more interesting ideas. There's a few who can take energy but I think there should be more effective enemy gimmicks, because just about every battle is just use your skills/bursts in the same rotation as you always do, break a shield if they have a shield. Right now there's not really much reason to do all too much else. I'm no game designer, so I can't really provide any form of idea or example but I still think it would be a interesting thing to talk about.
slaps roof of my genshin ocs here's what I've come up with over time my anemo claymore has a defense scaling shield and a burst that scales on defense too ! I mostly just want to see more people scale on something that isnt atk so 90% of my artifacts aren't useless. simple but I'm a diluc main so you can probably see what I want from this game my hydro catalyst has a bubbling ability. please give this to our playable characters mihoyo, I'm actually crying my geo bow uses a delusion. takes damage every time skill and burst is used but deals more damage and the cooldowns are shorter my pyro sword has a shield that also gives an attack boost to anyone that it affects and ACTUALLY GIVES THE SHIELD TO CO OP PLAYERS my dendro polearm has that thorn circle thing for her skill. crowd control polearms are neat and I like them. also the solely dendro applicator route is lame and I want variety please my cryo catalyst. uses a staff. wow! admittedly they are a shielder but. cryo catalyst. wow I also made an old dain moveset one time using a polearm and cryo, but also dipped into the 8th element idea with one for the abyss... more like a lack of an element, reacts with nothing but serves the same purpose functionally to just. do more damage and not be useless against enemies that have 1 million phys resist
people are gonna call me insane but I totally imagine that the new weapon tipe will be a gun, like matchlock, rifle, winchester, some spanish gun when we reach fontaine, wich has a steampunk technological vibe specially considering Honkai has 2 tipes of "gun" weapon alreay and "gun fu"
5:24 is just asking for Cloud Strife's Climhazzard to be in Genshin Impact as a charge attack (joking about this of course, it'd be really cool to have an attack like that for claymores.)
I'm glad you are trying to come up with solutions instead of just describing the issues with the game. I hope Mihoyo actually takes fan suggestions and tries to make the game higher quality. I'm a casual gamer so it sucks to see one of my favorite games not evolve when it should. I think the some of the stories are getting better which is a start.
I feel like scaramouche would be a polearm user but the weapon specifically having a scythe. But this would also fit for Hu Tao to have a scythe character wise but idk
i love the idea of attack speed and life steal but sadly they cant work so well : -attack speed makes your attack animations faster but even if you have 200% attack speed you wont hit 2 times more than usually , that is thx to hit lag you can look at it from ayato stacking all of teh attack speed buffs in the game and only getting from 1-6 more attacks in his elemental skill combo (normally he does from 15-16) -life steal as a stat will really fk healers.... they are only needed for when you dont have enough dmg and you cant keep dodging for that long , or you dont care about dodging .... and having life steal will just make healers more useless at the momet even with only 2% life steal your main dps should be full hp most of the time , remember we also have anemo cc and zhongli so that will just make life steal more op
I'd prefer if they just gave us a new weapon set that has all types of weapons it has a major attack boost every second youre on the field but a major a attack nerf for like 5 seconds every time you deploy a character with such weapon
I would love for an anemo unit that infusion his own weapon with an element that he swirls (and maybe convert all anemo dmg bonus / elemental mastery > specific elemental dmg)
we have armor penetration its called yelan only 1 type of enemy tho, also ayato and chongyun give attack speed, chongyun give cooldown reduction all the stat boost does already exist u just dint look hard enough
I really want "Traveler Only" mechanic, where you can only play only as the Traveller, but you can change your element whenever you want.
Sounds too f2p, hoyoverse get no money unless you pay for that mechanic
thatd be really cool but at the same time barely anyone would use it cause the traveller would probably still be mid
@@scaramouchesbf I would, i'm kinda a Traveller main lol
I did once think about this, until I realised it would be terrible because you equip artifacts are tailor made for one element only.
The only "high quality" coming from this channel is the bj he's giving mihoyi. 🤣
Not sure if balanced
also add shield meters and a DMC like character (combo based)
imagine the pain of rolling for 2 5 stars on the weapon banner just to build your character
@@leno9190 i thought if you rolled for a knife you would get 2 a pair of them so you dont go insane
@@malikai_63 okay!so it would be a pair when you roll but the stats are different?WAIT IS THE MAIN STATS RNG TOO!?i mean i they were like the same main stat it would be a free r2 which i thinks doesn’t really benefit hoyoverse
@@Haizou no they have pre set stats like weapons now, just that its split between the weapons in a set

I wouldn't mind the idea of characters using weapons from the fatuus as i feel like there could be an interesting storyline tied to it
I honestly love a majority of the ideas presented in this video.
11:21 dainsleif has literally been cursed with immortality he isn't mortal
Kazuha watching this video:
Pull enemy towards and knock them up you say...
I know this is kinda old by now, but I have a couple of comments:
In terms of attackspeed, it can be a bit hard to balance cause of the elemental system, there already are instances in which it has shown that it isn't that good on some characters, like Yoimiya, too much attackspeed can mess with the way the elements are applied, specially with infused normal attacks, in which you may end up applying as an aura the element you want as the trigger, which would be a huge damage loss
And about CD, we kinda have that already, in small ways, on the one hand we have the passive of the Sacrificial weapons, which is a reset of cool downs, and there's also the Thundering Fury artifact set, which reduces the cool down of your skill when you trigger certain reactions, and in pretty sure there are certain characters' passive that do something similar, as well as certain constellations, it's not the same as straight up cool down reduction like in League of Legends, but it shows that they're open to work in that direction and with the release of Dendro the TF set looks more viable than it has ever been
I like these ideas... and your humor is topnotch, was laughing hard while watching xD
In the manga some characters can conjure weapons and objects for their element. Collei also has a weird black flame power that could be interesting
Godslayer Greatsword intensifies
I can picture a few example in my head:
E.G. Zhongli U.E can petrify the attacking enemy for a short period of time whilst allowing Zhongli to start his auto attack from the 4th sequence.
Yanfei's U.E can give her max seal's and her next attack will be a charged attack with no stamina consumed.
Sayu's U.E can summon her daruma which will be a distraction and explode after a short period of time
They can do so many new animations for characters too! I honestly don't think hoyoverse will put it in now but here's to hoping!
I think that dainsleif mainly represents the cosmos instead of the sky due to the fact that kharenriah was a god less nation
I think it'd be cool if Dainsleif's element was time. He could have cool time-stopping or time-rewinding abilities.
KazooCat: So yea, that all the feedback.
Mihoyo: Seems feasible come work for us then we’ll decide.
Love your content man, great mix of humour and discussion
The gnosis from the archons are in a shape that reassemble chess pieces and (and for the lore people there's a strong evidence genshin is based on an ideology that uses chess pieces as a methapor) and there are 8 pieces, so is very likely (by what i heard from the lore people) there will be an eight element.
My idea on new element could be light and void i know that's very classic but very fitting
3:11 i loved the idea so much that im going out of my way to craft and entire scythe based on your doodled design for the cosplay i have,, :3
I wasnt sure after your last video if you were going to keep making content so high quality, i had your video saved in a playlist so i could check back if you made another video and seeing that youre back this is an easy sub. great stuff man much love!
I wonder how much your views changed with the new characters and the introduction of Dendro
My favorite idea is a character that disables elements or elemental reactions. They’d be anemo, but their burst or skill would create a vacuum, removing all swirlable elements and making it impossible to re-apply them temporarily.
that seems like it would be great in a pvp focused event
and if there was a pvp focused event, instead of catering to whales who have c6 everything, you have to use a bunch of trial characters to make it fair
Hear me out....5 characters Party !
With what they have shown of Dendro being a 3 element reaction, would be amazing having the extra slot!
Also the tomes abilities were summon based with AOE properties baked in while staff users skills were typically projectile based that start out as single target but can grow into AOE magic with the use of extra MP.
about other elements :
in the intro, the 2 siblings use ~light.
the "unknown god" use orange-cube energy (chaos ?). this orange-cube energy can also be seen in the destruction of Khaenri'ah.
we have the confirmation that the purple mud in the Chasm is also mad of elemental energy, so the elemental energy can have other forms than the 7 elements that have an archon.
one of the thing i want genshin to have in the future are aerial.combat, like how devil may cry and bayonetta work. Juggling enemies into the air and keep on combo-ing as long as you can with a cancel animation mechanic that reset your cooldown if you time it right, kinda like how enemy step in DMC work
You have inspired me to make videos on this kind of stuff, thanks. Keep up the good work.
Great video! I like your ideas, and it was really interesting to hear your thoughts on the matter :)
just found you out, but oh my god are your videos amazing its honestly criminal how small your channel is with how high quality your videos are
keep up the great work man
I played genshin since the start I am also a major whale since I have every character except for 3 albedo, klee, and yoimiya.
Good vid dude, also I like your editing as well keep it up : )
i'd love the idea of staff [like the staff they use in Kungfu movies], it would be Polearm but plays like a wood staff but with martial arts
a quality of life idea;
Being able to use one weapon for it's stats while using the visual model of a different one.
That would be a pretty cool cosmetic feature.
Man, I love your model haha
It's such an awesome design
I love how Sanguine Gaze is always used for the idea of a scythe in Genshin
I kinda want a visonless character who is a scientist who modified pieces of ruinguards or straight up uses ruinguards to fight
4:48 i think they could do something like lances in honkai impact which still have swinging normal attacks but can essentially grab and throw enemies
Awesome video, the editing is amazing
I don't blame you with the League item ideas. I think many people will agree that it would be amazing.
I have always think that Yelan should wield Throwing Daggers and melee fights with it too, she's just that stylish!
And Rosaria should wield a Scythe
A good idea for dainsleif is he would absorb any element he comes into contact with using his skill. You have pyro on a hilichirl and absorb it with his skill now his na and burst is pyro damage. His burst would be a non elemental black hole that explodes with the absorbed element
Speaking of dainsleif's mysterious element, i once "created" this element by myself, and instead of associating it to celestia, it would make more sense associating to khaenri'ah
It will be really interesting for different artifact stats such as def/energy recharge/Hp to have different mechanics in the game that would make the stats more useful rather then having them as simple scaling stats-
For example - scenarios where it will be more beneficial for a character to have more hp/def on field then having damage stats -
Currently these stats are mainly used for scaling where they would boost the power of the abilities of the characters -
Better healing / Shields / Damage exc -
But in reality the stat isn't really being used in any other way since most of the characters that scale with hp or defense are staying of field- essentially having no reason to have that much durability due to them avoiding all damage - them being off field -
idea?
staff
normal attack = physical damage
charge attack = big elemental damage
tbf I'm only *really* interested in introducing new universal mechanics, not a new weapon or style of gameplay that I need to pull for new chars to have.
Armor penetration is basically def shred or physical res shred, it's already there though with super conduct and some skills
I love the knife idea! Equipping two weapons sounds fun!
I mean the Fatui enemies do use gauntlets, guns, staffs, and whatever the pyro agent uses.
A lot of the weapon braking new ground thing is done in a charicters charged attack, or elemental skill, or burst, for instance, instead of adding a scythe weapon, a charicter could swap fighting modes like Childe and use an elemental forged weapon, that or there skill summons staid weapon in general, or there elemental burst allows them to use the weapon
As for the grapple thing, again, just think about a charicter with an elemental skill that grapples enemies, or a cytalist charge attack
The norm can still be broken with charicters in terms of the pole arm stabbing style and the claymore attack
It just depends on the charicter, not the weapon
Kiki already throws knives, but it would be cool to have a catalyst charicter summon elemental knives for there abilites and combat
This way it gives them more range of ability, and there knives by default have elemental effects tied to them
The armor mechanic is a good idea, but in order to balance it out, you could rather spread the exstra stat perks across the charocters constelations (cause constellations are cracked, some charicters luteraly become healers, barbra reserects the dead, bennet converts other charicters elements into his own, and I don’t even need to mention ganyu.) that or, make 2 charicters whos abilites work in tandem to make this armor ability possible
Dagger charged atk can be the longer you charge the more daggers you throw to enemies
As far as Dainsleif is concerned, i'm sure he said at some point that he doesn't get power from the elements, which means new mechanics should come in the future (for him at least).
My man: you need a ✨ h a r p o o n ✨
dagger could be the inverse of claymore, fast but weak, charged attacks are aimed throws.
gauntlet could work like fu hua from honkai but I find huge arms like carole pepper's is cooler.
staff might as well be aimable catalyst. "wingardium leviosa"
scythe could be continuous looping attacks (not stopping with 4th-5th attack) with high hits per second.
dainsleif already demonstrated himself as catalyst that controls space/spatial force in cutscenes but we also seen yelan used magic despite being a human bow user so him using another weapon is possible.
regarding attack speed stat, I don't know why it's rare. I want it to be a lot more common. after all, faster = more fun.
And dont forget whip or chain weapon thats a bit weak close but very strong mid to long range and can both launch or drag enemies close to you or use them as boulder to be tossed to group of enemies. Best weapon ever!!!
I myself thought of a character who's DMG scales off of their healing. Even better if they buff other characters DMG with their burst.
kind of already exists with kokomi to an extent. i could see mihoyo getting scrutinised for making another kokomi/clam character copy and especially if they are worse than them/not worth if you already have them even if you consider abyss needing 2 teams. they would likely get hate if it was a 4 star becayse "theyre not putting enough effort into 4 stars" and would also get a lot of hate if it was a 5 star because "i already have kokomi why would i need this character, not worth the primos unless you're a whale"
Like on skill or burst so that those can bypass phys resistances), but I'm pretty sure Dein is gonna use these blue-ish black probably abyss powers that he shows in some of his art.
i love your videos man all the great ideas thanks KazooCat
scythe or just any weapon could bring debuffs to the game or new play-styles, the only “debuff” for enemies is just applying cryo to make enemies slower.
maybe bleed, crippling or other debuffs that other rpgs games have.
maybe another weapon could be a hammer that focus on AOEs?
and about the element Urano, that could be for characters that are on Celestia than just for Dainsleif and the element could be a “glass cannom” type of element.
defence shred would be really cool since not many character have it
I think you should have mentioned enemies, because I feel like there's not enough unique enemy gimmicks, there's a few but I feel there should be some with more interesting ideas. There's a few who can take energy but I think there should be more effective enemy gimmicks, because just about every battle is just use your skills/bursts in the same rotation as you always do, break a shield if they have a shield.
Right now there's not really much reason to do all too much else.
I'm no game designer, so I can't really provide any form of idea or example but I still think it would be a interesting thing to talk about.
slaps roof of my genshin ocs here's what I've come up with over time
my anemo claymore has a defense scaling shield and a burst that scales on defense too ! I mostly just want to see more people scale on something that isnt atk so 90% of my artifacts aren't useless. simple but I'm a diluc main so you can probably see what I want from this game
my hydro catalyst has a bubbling ability. please give this to our playable characters mihoyo, I'm actually crying
my geo bow uses a delusion. takes damage every time skill and burst is used but deals more damage and the cooldowns are shorter
my pyro sword has a shield that also gives an attack boost to anyone that it affects and ACTUALLY GIVES THE SHIELD TO CO OP PLAYERS
my dendro polearm has that thorn circle thing for her skill. crowd control polearms are neat and I like them. also the solely dendro applicator route is lame and I want variety please
my cryo catalyst. uses a staff. wow! admittedly they are a shielder but. cryo catalyst. wow
I also made an old dain moveset one time using a polearm and cryo, but also dipped into the 8th element idea with one for the abyss... more like a lack of an element, reacts with nothing but serves the same purpose functionally to just. do more damage and not be useless against enemies that have 1 million phys resist
Yoo i want razor skin that hides his claymor and fight with hands, it woud have hitbox of claymor.
And he finaly become stand user
Lmao they might as well make his wolf spirit platinum colored
Sounds amusing. Especially the Scythe and Ourano
Adding to the Urano idea, I think Astro (meaning star) would be the abyssal energy dainsleif uses.
people are gonna call me insane but I totally imagine that the new weapon tipe will be a gun, like matchlock, rifle, winchester, some spanish gun when we reach fontaine, wich has a steampunk technological vibe specially considering Honkai has 2 tipes of "gun" weapon alreay and "gun fu"
7:47 my man, corrosion is literally bleeding
Better idea than adding silly weapons: add a dmc style combo system for more variation with sensible weapons and Aldi add lock on
5:24 is just asking for Cloud Strife's Climhazzard to be in Genshin Impact as a charge attack (joking about this of course, it'd be really cool to have an attack like that for claymores.)
These are ideas are probably more fit for after the teyvet chapter
I'm glad you are trying to come up with solutions instead of just describing the issues with the game. I hope Mihoyo actually takes fan suggestions and tries to make the game higher quality. I'm a casual gamer so it sucks to see one of my favorite games not evolve when it should. I think the some of the stories are getting better which is a start.
5:00 Sounds like Varka, if he really is an Anemo Claymore user
I feel like scaramouche would be a polearm user but the weapon specifically having a scythe. But this would also fit for Hu Tao to have a scythe character wise but idk
i love the idea of attack speed and life steal but sadly they cant work so well :
-attack speed makes your attack animations faster but even if you have 200% attack speed you wont hit 2 times more than usually , that is thx to hit lag you can look at it from ayato stacking all of teh attack speed buffs in the game and only getting from 1-6 more attacks in his elemental skill combo (normally he does from 15-16)
-life steal as a stat will really fk healers.... they are only needed for when you dont have enough dmg and you cant keep dodging for that long , or you dont care about dodging .... and having life steal will just make healers more useless at the momet even with only 2% life steal your main dps should be full hp most of the time , remember we also have anemo cc and zhongli so that will just make life steal more op
