I'm pretty sure the developers are saving that for the Final Arc. When we unlock Celestial/Abyssal elements. Characters should finally be pushed to level 100 rather than 90. And at 100 duel elements are probably going to implemented. My theory is that everyone except Archons are going to be able to use Celestial or Abyssal elements. We're going to have to choose which one we want. Archons are probably going to Access God form. Rather than Nahida it'll be Buer instead. Rather than Zhongli we'd be able to play as Rex Lapis.

anemo just isn't exactly the type of element that would have a shield, imo. the point of anemo is freedom, being flexible, and being able to adapt, which goes against essentially grounding yourself & being immovable, which shields do. though if one came out I'd build them immediately haha
I think Marechaussee Hunter's set was a great addition to the game. Not only is it cracked for Fontaine characters that manipulate their own health but opens up health manipulation for every other character (of course only if they're paired with Furina.) I'd love to see more sets that change playstyles !!

It has a niche on Neuvillette teams with Zhongli. 5:10 Not the exact same thing but Lavawalker and Thundersoother are similar and function best in mono-element teams. Sometimes used on Lyney as an alternative to Marechausse Hunter. Best artifact for Klee in her mono-pyro teams. 6:25 Thundering Fury reduces cooldown, but it's specific to electro reactions. Best Artifact for Cyno in both his Aggravate and Hyperbloom teams, and great on Keqing for her Aggravate teams. Has a small niche on Kazuha in electro-charged teams.
i really want hoyo to do more with geo. i know that a lot of people want geo to work only in mono Geo ( - navia ), but i feel lke there´s a lot of potential there. Give us a geo + dendro reaction ( or nilou/Chevreuse-like character ) so that we can run triple geo + dendro or double geo + double dendro Give us a Geo healer to be able to use Itto with Furina Give us a Geo grouper. They could deal good off-field damage but they would still be worse than anemo units because they cant use 4-Piece VV Desing a Geo unit/ artifact set for geo units that would make them good as an off-field dps for physical teams or you know, at least fix geo costructs...
Yeah, Noelle is a healer, but she's only worth using if you're gonna use her on-field. What i'm asking for is an off-field geo healer so that we can use Itto with Furina.
1:30 in regards to burning, yeah, Burning on its own sucks, but it allows for some fun combinations of elements. You can actually trigger melt off of a Burning aura, and the Burning stays, so you can trigger melt multiple times and not need to reapply Pyro for a good while. This team is commonly referred to as Burn-Melt. Super boring name, I know, which is why I prefer to call it Frostburn. You can also somewhat forward Vaporize off of Burning, but it does require more Pyro application and a Hydro unit with not as much Hydro app. Kokomi and Furina are both good for that, and Furina in particular can benefit quite a lot from that 2x damage. Not many teams can make use of this, but there is a pretty notable Wriothesley team that uses him, Nahida/Baizhu, Furina, and Xiangling. It's a weird team for sure, and a bit energy hungry, but it works very well and is definitely Wrio's most unique team (and probably his best team :P). 10:15 Yun Jin has a parry too...
I wanna see Traveler gain the ability to not only switch elements, but WEAPON CLASS as well. That Aether has a bow in one Co-op and that Lumine has a claymore in another.

There are 3 ways to build a character. Build them how they are supposed to play. Build them as phys/healer. Or Build them solely for reactions. I'm the type of player who will get someone clearly meant to be a dps and I make them support. So I have a full team of EM characters
0:52 so we will eventually get some new elements, quantum and imaginary to be specific. they show up in fontaine rn as ousia and pneuma, but we recently saw someone using quantum to yeet an interdimensional whale into a pocket of space. the person who did that had a whole va announcement too, which only playable characters get.
I've always thought of a Fontaine character who reduces their own HP to give their team ATK SPD and Crit DMG buffs, or a similar character who instead pumps out energy particles using devices and also reduces the cooldown of skills.
Burning is my favorite reaction. I also like onfielding Anemo characters. It's just fun to set the world on fire. Watching thier health wittle down is great. Burning is "Tsukyomi" with Nahida. Also, the playstyle is much easier once the reactions get going. Just from one pyro application into burning into swirl into repeat. It deals less damage than other reactions but since you don't have to worry about who completes the reaction as much like vaporize team, it's pretty unga unga full elemental mastery. Then throw in a Cryo user with a strong single hit for big numbers if you want. Burning is not that bad.
I want a geo user who commands an army of little clay soldiers. Like they could make them out of crystalize shards (and probably just over time in case you're mono-geo). Like the whole thing is trying to get off as many crystalize reactions as you can summon more golems as they're destroyed by enemies. Like a weird mini - pikmin army who scales on HP. I'd probably make them a catalyst user so they can keep applying geo. but I think their skill would be a target/aim attack on long press and then they send out a pulse to grab nearby crystals and turn them into soldiers for a tap effect. he CD on the command would be like half a second and like 4-5 seconds on crystal-craft depending on which one comes out also you can aim while crystal craft is on CD I know we don't have that but shush it would just make them better to play. they would have a set max of something like 20 little guys but they can only have a few out out while they aren't on the field so they'd want to stay on field for longer, though the removed soldiers come back once they swap back in (like they store them) or maybe they stay on field for a few seconds so you can quickly swap to use a party member's skill to proc more crystalizes. switch to another quick summoner or another catalyst user to apply other elements and then swap back to catch the crystalizes.Maybe as an ascension passive they get the ability to make their soldiers deal the damage of the type of shard they pick up. (or that can just be in their lv1 kit idk) also this would be an excuse for us to pull the camera out more which I am all for.

Also thundering furry have cooldown reduction And the reason why they probably never gonna add something to recharge enegy out of combat, especially a 1 piece set, is spiral abyss
How come you haven't tried burgeon + Reverse Melt teams? it's actually pretty busted, especially for Ayaka and Ganyu, since burgeon is a constant pyro aplication and since cryo and dendro don't interact it doesn't stop the burgeon reaction and you can keep making the reverse melts while it lasts. Example: Ganyu + zhongli (could also be bennet or xianling) + nahida + dehya. Try it out sometime.

I can see what you mean about physical damage being a under used thing despite all characters using a weapon without a infusion doing physical dmg. So have a Physical Catalyst weapon would be interesting Like Ningguang doing Physical + Geo because her Geo magic is throwing rocks at enemies or Wriothesley doing Cryo + Physical because he requires you to run up & punch the enemy instead of throwing fireballs or Lightning bolts from a distance. I have been recently have been brainstorming a Physical Build for the Main Traveler since every time you change elements you would have to change artifacts. The idea from this was so i don’t have to do that, also since for the Main Traveler their Skill and Burst is not as important because it will change with each area. But Also the same can be said for most Claymore characters where their Skill doesn’t actually boost their damage instead does its own or a different type of damage. So basically we need more characters that can do infusions ( without constellations ) as part of their skill or Physical Dmg need to be made more prevalent. They tried this with the Claymore character giving them higher base attack and the almost exclusive ability to use Reactions Crush and Shatter. Which are kind of weak because Physical is so over looked.
We need certain characters to retroatively obtain Time-stop on their Burst animations. For example Keqing, her burst should freeze all enemies in place (as long as you’re not in Co-Op). It could be a good way to buff Deyha, actually. “Unleashing her burning anger and casting her inconvenient blade aside, Dehya enters the Blazing Lioness state, rendering all enemies, allied summons and stage timers are frozen in time. In this state, Dehya will automatically and continuously unleash the Flame-Mane's Fists, etc. (…) All elemental reactions and knockback are resolved after exiting the Blazing Lioness state. While in Co-Op, Blazing Lioness instead grants resistance to interruption.” It would work so well!
They could release a new weapon that completely changes the character's kit (they did the same thing in Hi3rd, so it's not out of the realm of possibility). The effect will only work on that specific character (eg. only Amber can use it). Using it on someone else will just be a weapon without any passives (similar to PlayStation Exclusive weapons). Though all I really want is a Physical Sub DPS... 😔
I don't leave comments that much but I'm really happy that I came across someone who actually does high-level meta discussion on Genshin. I too feel like Genshin's combat system is one gigantic missed opportunity and really wish it could be better since I love the game and have been playing it for quite a while now. I feel like a lot of bigger creators don't really do this in fear of backlash from children and twitter users but I just wanted to say that I appreciate the content you put out since it's actually really entertaining as someone who's interested in this sort of stuff.
As Elemental weapons go, they kinda have a few in-game already, like the dragon spine ones that drop a icicle on enemies every so often, but they do do not (currently) inflict cryo, or the other weapons that create a gust/wind that deals % of characters ATK, could instead be changed to "deals Anemo dmg equal to a % of equiped characters Atk" allowing for more combat options
A character I would love to see is a physical based catalyst user. Obviously they wouldn't just do physical damage but imagine a cryo character that throws ice chunks that do both cryo and physical damage. Them being cryo would also be great for the super conduct reaction sense that reduces physical defense on enemies. If they could even make the attacks shatter frozen enemies to encourage more team comps than just superconduct
8:14 Might be a little broken, if you think about how strong Zhongli's shield is. Could be amended to providing a continuous healing effect over a set time based on the Shield's strength while halving the shield's original HP. For healers, converts half of one instance Overflow healing into an elementless shield similar to what the claymore Bell provides that lasts for 5-10 seconds, with each shield stacking on top of each other. On the topic of 1-piece artifacts though, I am a bit worried that if Genshin implements something like this that Artifact farming will become even more torturous, given that now you do not have the flexibility of having an off-piece for characters but must have at least 2-compatible 2-piece sets and a proper 1-piece. Honkai Star Rail suffers a similar issue with its relic system, but they have a more specialized form of Artifact strongboxes to rectify this.
I’m personally a big fan of physical characters and elemental infusions. It’s a shame they conflict so much but seeing as everyone’s got their brains working here: maybe there could be a weapon set (not just a single weapon, a weapon set with the same passive across all of them like the sacrificial series) that gives elemental damage to infused character’s normal attacks based one their physical damage and the element they’re infused with
Talking Stick gives you more dmg depending on what element on your character. Some of your ideas are already happening. You have Chiori who when using her skill you switch characters mid air. Leaks: They might be adding an artifact that buffs burning finally. And I do agree that artifacts are a good way to add more variety to playstyles which we partially have with some.
Eula an specific reaction? You mean Superconduct? I think she isn't in the level of Nilou and Chevrolet. Navia it's more focused in mh opinion (not as much as Nilou and Cop)
One idea I've had for a character would be a Pyro Sword character who would actually specialize in Sub-DPS and do well with Crowd Control. I've noticed that most Pyro characters hardly ever do either of these things, and so I've wanted someone to fill a role like that. For example, the only dedicated Sub-DPS Pyro unit is Xiangling, but I absolutely hate her playstyle and it feels bad knowing that she's the only unit who's actually good in that role. To give a rundown, their normal attack would be a fairly basic string, like normal, but their charged attack would be a fairly wide AoE iaido slash (sort of like Ayaka's charged attack but also looking and acting a bit more closely to a single attack from Ayato's skill) that would actually knock opponents inwards, drawing them in towards the spot right in front of them. Their skill would be a small AoE Pyro attack that would summon some blades of fire that levitate behind the active character. When an enemy is hit, the blades would perform a coordinated AoE Pyro slash against the opponent, rather similar to Raiden's skill. They would last for a while, likely lasting right until the skill can be cast again, just like with Raiden or Kuki Shinobu's skills. As for their burst, the thing that I'm picturing would be some sort of wide AoE Pyro attack that would apply a debuff to any enemies hit, somewhat similar to Mona's burst. I'm thinking the debuff would inflict a defense weakness and slow their movement, making them easier to control and eliminate. Maybe it would also grant the original character a Pyro infusion? I'm not exactly sure. Overall, I feel like I could definitely flesh out my concepts a bit more, but I feel like the basic idea is there, and I'd love for something like it to be in the game.
It would be so cool if we could change which weapon type a character uses (kinda like Fire Emblem, you can level up weapon proficiency and use any weapon that you have a profiency for) It wouldn't really break the game because it only changes which weapons you can equip but ig it would be really hard to code, especially when a character changes to and from catalyst
The only artifact set needed is the one to steal Sethos idea, and expend ultimate energy to empower skill damage and charged attack damage, without limit for as long as the cooldown and energy requirements are met. That would make using characters that are suboptimal with their burst to still be useable
I personally love characters who are tailored to less used reactions like Chevreuse and Nilou, but we've seen it backfire like in Kaveh's case... I also want more characters that narratively go together, as well as be tailored made to work in combat together. I hoped for that with Lyney and Lynette, but it simply didn't work out that way. Meanwhile, a pair like Itto and Gorou who don't have as big of a connection are always paired together- I just wish that could have been the same for more canon duos.
Hmm Furina's arkhe NA and Arlecchino's E ticks don't apply their respective elements so having weapons do elemental dmg (skyward, end of the line, etc) for their passives won't be so far-fetched anymore. Maybe we can brew potions in the future that will convert all phys dmg to the element of the active character.
Collision damage would be cool on a geo boxer character, who summons a construct that he knocks them back into with a charged attack and yanks back to them, dealing damage to the unit dragged by the construct per distance travelled or something.
Regarding the element-infusion sword, I find it more feasible to make a sword that gets infused with the element of the user, so we can build, I don't know, Eula, to deal pure cryo damage for the buff duration, allowing her to use cryo builds
its actually not that mihoyo isnt creative enough to do these things its more so that they have to trump their cards every other patch and if they had started with to complicated kits they would need to be ten times as complicated by now. if they gradually step it up they can kind of keep it fresh for longer. not sure if thats the best strat or more so that you couldnt have started with a bit more to begin with, but given that mobile players are going to suffer the more complicated stuff gets, i feel like this is fair enough. i am 100% for more complicated stuff when it comes to my own enjoyment though.. still a good video, liked most of the ideas.
I'd like to think some random interent at mhy somehow saw this, and it somehow made it up the ladder considering the set they just added entirely dedicated to burning
I'd like an option to use the Viridescent Hunt's or Dragonspine Spear's abilities like Mona's "Come 'n' Get Me, Hat!" talent, where it triggers without attacks and has a longer effect. Perhaps you could only use one weapon's effect for the entire party. So Desert Sage's and Kagotsurube Isshin could see some more use.
My add to this is that Navia E should have been able to retain the elements of the crystalize shards she absorbs and deal elemental damage with boosted damage based on her EM. Wouldve had amazing synergy with albedo and wouldve been a super unique design for a geo character that still fits with geo's inert status
okay ngl cryo + dendro is already used a fair amount because people make fridge teams Freeze the enemy so they dont move when the cores bloom. So making a character for this specific and odd niche may be off meta but very VERY interesting

Having cryo react with dendro or even blooms isn't even that hard to imagine. Frost damage on plants is a whole ass thing. The water inside the plant freezes, and water expands when it freezes, rupturing the plant. Dendro and geo too: erosion includes rocks breaking due to plants growing in them and wedging it open over time. Alternatively, plants need earth to grow. Have plants grow that like. slow movement speed of enemies or briefly stuns (though i would hate this being applied to the player because i already *despise* electro-charged and freeze reactions i don't need another one to piss me off). Geo+Anemo=Dust. Not sure what the effect would be exactly. Miss chance? Just damage? Also an "on-field bow summoner" is what I thought Gorou would be when I first saw his character concept. General + Bow + Geo (puppy things as a geo construct/summon) following him around and obeying his orders. And then I learned what he actually does. Disappointment.
Utilize the game's crafting system and add potions/charms/ammo or the like that can be slotted onto weapons in the same manner that weapons and artifacts are slotted onto characters. It would allow for basic attack infusions/conversions, attack speed increases, skill hold/charge time decreases(e.g. lisa, bennet), or whatever you want really, including the ideas you presented in this video. I think the important part is that it would allow these things to happen without directly stepping on the toes of existing characters, weapons, and artifacts. This allows these effects to be used in conjunction with similar effects from aforementioned sources instead of in competition. Slots for these items could be one per weapon maybe up to three. Limitations for balance would likely be needed if multiple could be slotted but there's no need for such specifics right now. The available number of slots would not scale with weapon rarity just as artifact slots do not scale with character rarity. If we were lucky and got additional "endgame" content these items or the materials for these items could additionally be obtained as drops for completions and challenge/achievement completions within it.
Oh I totally get the burning vibe Is like giving you a really cool Pokémon and over 3 years you get different evolutions for other Pokémons of the same type and New type combination but that Pokémon keeps exactly the same…it felt cool till u realise every OTHER Pokémon of that type is better
A character that mimic other is not possible in lore, the only one capable of it is god like entity that isn't belong to Teyvat and not part of any element,so it would take LONG to have someone like that
okay, so i do have admit, a lot of these ideas are pretty atrocious, but i love hearing them regardless. especially the part about knocking characters away and pulling them back. usually any type of knockback is really bad because you want every enemy in range of your attacks, and thats also why groupers are so valuable. besides that, being able to mimic someones burst/skill would very, very much break the game. not only would it spawn a lot of unintended effects for characters not designed with two of them in mind, but every further character created would have to be designed with them in mind too, potentially stunting their potential. having a weapon that could convert elemental damage would kind of reduce the worth of charactets who's sole value is applying said element, which would also affect how future characters are designed. id have to admit that breaking up the cryo/electro physical duo would be nice if i could just slap an electro polearm on my mika or my rosaria i do agree on the parts about infusion and a dendro/cryo reaction, and the utilization of pretty underused stats like attack speed. whether these ideas are thought provoking or kind of horrifying to imagine, they were still really interesting to listen to. P.S. consider swapping your Chevreuse to 4pc Thundering Fury if you'd like to spam her skill more
well, about bonus damage from geo crystals, there is archaic petra set, too sad it sucks ass, also cd reduction on artifact set is thing, thundering fury. And it kinda also sucks, but it has some realy cool shenenigans on anyone that can trigger electro reaction, so go do a 3 mounth grinding session for chevreuse, bennet + any two electro off-fielders comp. And back to geo, i want a geo on-fielder with chevreuse-like passive for crystalize, and ability to infuse with other elements, kinda like azhdaha

Don't worry, it was just because I had trouble when I started scripting this video, so I just wrote down "Freddy Fazbear" to help jump-start my brain. I fully intended to remove it at nearly every stage of making the video, but every time I didn't remove it, it got funnier to me. So there's no good reason for it to be there, but I kept it anyway.

Also just because the game doesn't have pvp, doesn't make balance redacted. If everything was overpowered no would have a reason to get the character or farm the new Artifact set . So Hoyo would be forced to make the game harder which just creates more power creep .

First of all with 0:26 I dont know about this, the Elemental Reaction thingy is already well develop, the thing is that, is just how dank things can get with the team building just using the Elements and the mechanics each team could have, like crow control, Frontloads, Setups, double swirl, dash cancel, hit lag thingy and the thing were we can hit multiple times with the pyronado a single opponent just by moving our character. And we aren't counting on things like ICD or Elemental Gauges 1:11 I dont know what he means with the Shielder thingy, but i think he is talking about Xinyan and Thoma good Off-Field Pyro Application, but so Xiangling (:Korean shirtless guy raging at LoL hitting he's keyboard to the table while screaming:) Like, every pyro can do that, just need to built for full EM and we are ready to go. 1:18 i dont get this, if he means a characters that Burns instead of Burgeon... man, mods you know what to do 🌩 Okay but now seriously. I'm pretty sure the developers are saving that for the Final Arc. When we unlock Celestial/Abyssal elements. Characters should finally be pushed to level 100 rather than 90. And at 100 duel elements are probably going to implemented.
My theory is that everyone except Archons are going to be able to use Celestial or Abyssal elements. We're going to have to choose which one we want.

anemo just isn't exactly the type of element that would have a shield, imo. the point of anemo is freedom, being flexible, and being able to adapt, which goes against essentially grounding yourself & being immovable, which shields do. though if one came out I'd build them immediately haha
I think Marechaussee Hunter's set was a great addition to the game. Not only is it cracked for Fontaine characters that manipulate their own health but opens up health manipulation for every other character (of course only if they're paired with Furina.)

6:25 Thundering Fury reduces cooldown, but it's specific to electro reactions. Best Artifact for Cyno in both his Aggravate and Hyperbloom teams, and great on Keqing for her Aggravate teams. Has a small niche on Kazuha in electro-charged teams.
TF Kazuha also works in Aggravate. If you are not running VV on Anemo, there is a good chance that TF would be pretty good.

1:30 in regards to burning, yeah, Burning on its own sucks, but it allows for some fun combinations of elements. You can actually trigger melt off of a Burning aura, and the Burning stays, so you can trigger melt multiple times and not need to reapply Pyro for a good while. This team is commonly referred to as Burn-Melt. Super boring name, I know, which is why I prefer to call it Frostburn. You can also somewhat forward Vaporize off of Burning, but it does require more Pyro application and a Hydro unit with not as much Hydro app. Kokomi and Furina are both good for that, and Furina in particular can benefit quite a lot from that 2x damage. Not many teams can make use of this, but there is a pretty notable Wriothesley team that uses him, Nahida/Baizhu, Furina, and Xiangling. It's a weird team for sure, and a bit energy hungry, but it works very well and is definitely Wrio's most unique team (and probably his best team :P).

There are 3 ways to build a character. Build them how they are supposed to play. Build them as phys/healer. Or Build them solely for reactions. I'm the type of player who will get someone clearly meant to be a dps and I make them support. So I have a full team of EM characters
0:52 so we will eventually get some new elements, quantum and imaginary to be specific. they show up in fontaine rn as ousia and pneuma, but we recently saw someone using quantum to yeet an interdimensional whale into a pocket of space. the person who did that had a whole va announcement too, which only playable characters get.
Yo, try Thundering Fury Chevreuse, with C6 Benny and Fischl you might be able to shave off half of the cooldown.
The burning reaction is really helpful in melt teams
I've always thought of a Fontaine character who reduces their own HP to give their team ATK SPD and Crit DMG buffs, or a similar character who instead pumps out energy particles using devices and also reduces the cooldown of skills.
Burning is my favorite reaction. I also like onfielding Anemo characters. It's just fun to set the world on fire. Watching thier health wittle down is great. Burning is "Tsukyomi" with Nahida.
Also, the playstyle is much easier once the reactions get going. Just from one pyro application into burning into swirl into repeat. It deals less damage than other reactions but since you don't have to worry about who completes the reaction as much like vaporize team, it's pretty unga unga full elemental mastery. Then throw in a Cryo user with a strong single hit for big numbers if you want.
Burning is not that bad.
I want a geo user who commands an army of little clay soldiers. Like they could make them out of crystalize shards (and probably just over time in case you're mono-geo). Like the whole thing is trying to get off as many crystalize reactions as you can summon more golems as they're destroyed by enemies. Like a weird mini - pikmin army who scales on HP.
I'd probably make them a catalyst user so they can keep applying geo. but I think their skill would be a target/aim attack on long press and then they send out a pulse to grab nearby crystals and turn them into soldiers for a tap effect.
he CD on the command would be like half a second and like 4-5 seconds on crystal-craft depending on which one comes out also you can aim while crystal craft is on CD I know we don't have that but shush it would just make them better to play.
they would have a set max of something like 20 little guys but they can only have a few out out while they aren't on the field so they'd want to stay on field for longer, though the removed soldiers come back once they swap back in (like they store them) or maybe they stay on field for a few seconds so you can quickly swap to use a party member's skill to proc more crystalizes. switch to another quick summoner or another catalyst user to apply other elements and then swap back to catch the crystalizes.Maybe as an ascension passive they get the ability to make their soldiers deal the damage of the type of shard they pick up. (or that can just be in their lv1 kit idk)
also this would be an excuse for us to pull the camera out more which I am all for.

How come you haven't tried burgeon + Reverse Melt teams? it's actually pretty busted, especially for Ayaka and Ganyu, since burgeon is a constant pyro aplication and since cryo and dendro don't interact it doesn't stop the burgeon reaction and you can keep making the reverse melts while it lasts.
Example: Ganyu + zhongli (could also be bennet or xianling) + nahida + dehya. Try it out sometime.

I can see what you mean about physical damage being a under used thing despite all characters using a weapon without a infusion doing physical dmg. So have a Physical Catalyst weapon would be interesting Like Ningguang doing Physical + Geo because her Geo magic is throwing rocks at enemies or Wriothesley doing Cryo + Physical because he requires you to run up & punch the enemy instead of throwing fireballs or Lightning bolts from a distance.
I have been recently have been brainstorming a Physical Build for the Main Traveler since every time you change elements you would have to change artifacts. The idea from this was so i don’t have to do that, also since for the Main Traveler their Skill and Burst is not as important because it will change with each area. But Also the same can be said for most Claymore characters where their Skill doesn’t actually boost their damage instead does its own or a different type of damage.
So basically we need more characters that can do infusions ( without constellations ) as part of their skill or Physical Dmg need to be made more prevalent. They tried this with the Claymore character giving them higher base attack and the almost exclusive ability to use Reactions Crush and Shatter. Which are kind of weak because Physical is so over looked.

They could release a new weapon that completely changes the character's kit (they did the same thing in Hi3rd, so it's not out of the realm of possibility). The effect will only work on that specific character (eg. only Amber can use it). Using it on someone else will just be a weapon without any passives (similar to PlayStation Exclusive weapons).

I don't leave comments that much but I'm really happy that I came across someone who actually does high-level meta discussion on Genshin. I too feel like Genshin's combat system is one gigantic missed opportunity and really wish it could be better since I love the game and have been playing it for quite a while now. I feel like a lot of bigger creators don't really do this in fear of backlash from children and twitter users but I just wanted to say that I appreciate the content you put out since it's actually really entertaining as someone who's interested in this sort of stuff.
As Elemental weapons go, they kinda have a few in-game already, like the dragon spine ones that drop a icicle on enemies every so often, but they do do not (currently) inflict cryo, or the other weapons that create a gust/wind that deals % of characters ATK, could instead be changed to "deals Anemo dmg equal to a % of equiped characters Atk" allowing for more combat options
A character I would love to see is a physical based catalyst user. Obviously they wouldn't just do physical damage but imagine a cryo character that throws ice chunks that do both cryo and physical damage. Them being cryo would also be great for the super conduct reaction sense that reduces physical defense on enemies. If they could even make the attacks shatter frozen enemies to encourage more team comps than just superconduct
About thr summoner doing damage on field, Yae works great like that, one of my favorite playstyles

8:14 Might be a little broken, if you think about how strong Zhongli's shield is. Could be amended to providing a continuous healing effect over a set time based on the Shield's strength while halving the shield's original HP. For healers, converts half of one instance Overflow healing into an elementless shield similar to what the claymore Bell provides that lasts for 5-10 seconds, with each shield stacking on top of each other.
On the topic of 1-piece artifacts though, I am a bit worried that if Genshin implements something like this that Artifact farming will become even more torturous, given that now you do not have the flexibility of having an off-piece for characters but must have at least 2-compatible 2-piece sets and a proper 1-piece. Honkai Star Rail suffers a similar issue with its relic system, but they have a more specialized form of Artifact strongboxes to rectify this.
I’m personally a big fan of physical characters and elemental infusions. It’s a shame they conflict so much but seeing as everyone’s got their brains working here:
maybe there could be a weapon set (not just a single weapon, a weapon set with the same passive across all of them like the sacrificial series) that gives elemental damage to infused character’s normal attacks based one their physical damage and the element they’re infused with

As someone who's main two DPS characters are Xiao and Wriothesley, I desperately want more ways to boost attack speed in the game...
Eula an specific reaction? You mean Superconduct? I think she isn't in the level of Nilou and Chevrolet. Navia it's more focused in mh opinion (not as much as Nilou and Cop)
One idea I've had for a character would be a Pyro Sword character who would actually specialize in Sub-DPS and do well with Crowd Control. I've noticed that most Pyro characters hardly ever do either of these things, and so I've wanted someone to fill a role like that. For example, the only dedicated Sub-DPS Pyro unit is Xiangling, but I absolutely hate her playstyle and it feels bad knowing that she's the only unit who's actually good in that role.
To give a rundown, their normal attack would be a fairly basic string, like normal, but their charged attack would be a fairly wide AoE iaido slash (sort of like Ayaka's charged attack but also looking and acting a bit more closely to a single attack from Ayato's skill) that would actually knock opponents inwards, drawing them in towards the spot right in front of them.
Their skill would be a small AoE Pyro attack that would summon some blades of fire that levitate behind the active character. When an enemy is hit, the blades would perform a coordinated AoE Pyro slash against the opponent, rather similar to Raiden's skill. They would last for a while, likely lasting right until the skill can be cast again, just like with Raiden or Kuki Shinobu's skills.
As for their burst, the thing that I'm picturing would be some sort of wide AoE Pyro attack that would apply a debuff to any enemies hit, somewhat similar to Mona's burst. I'm thinking the debuff would inflict a defense weakness and slow their movement, making them easier to control and eliminate. Maybe it would also grant the original character a Pyro infusion? I'm not exactly sure.
Overall, I feel like I could definitely flesh out my concepts a bit more, but I feel like the basic idea is there, and I'd love for something like it to be in the game.

That would make using characters that are suboptimal with their burst to still be useable

I have been playing around with the new burning artifact set so far I think it's pretty fun and I 100% recommend for pyro dps character
I personally love characters who are tailored to less used reactions like Chevreuse and Nilou, but we've seen it backfire like in Kaveh's case... I also want more characters that narratively go together, as well as be tailored made to work in combat together. I hoped for that with Lyney and Lynette, but it simply didn't work out that way. Meanwhile, a pair like Itto and Gorou who don't have as big of a connection are always paired together- I just wish that could have been the same for more canon duos.
Hmm Furina's arkhe NA and Arlecchino's E ticks don't apply their respective elements so having weapons do elemental dmg (skyward, end of the line, etc) for their passives won't be so far-fetched anymore.
Maybe we can brew potions in the future that will convert all phys dmg to the element of the active character.
Collision damage would be cool on a geo boxer character, who summons a construct that he knocks them back into with a charged attack and yanks back to them, dealing damage to the unit dragged by the construct per distance travelled or something.
Regarding the element-infusion sword, I find it more feasible to make a sword that gets infused with the element of the user, so we can build, I don't know, Eula, to deal pure cryo damage for the buff duration, allowing her to use cryo builds
its actually not that mihoyo isnt creative enough to do these things its more so that they have to trump their cards every other patch and if they had started with to complicated kits they would need to be ten times as complicated by now. if they gradually step it up they can kind of keep it fresh for longer. not sure if thats the best strat or more so that you couldnt have started with a bit more to begin with, but given that mobile players are going to suffer the more complicated stuff gets, i feel like this is fair enough. i am 100% for more complicated stuff when it comes to my own enjoyment though.. still a good video, liked most of the ideas.

I'd like an option to use the Viridescent Hunt's or Dragonspine Spear's abilities like Mona's "Come 'n' Get Me, Hat!" talent, where it triggers without attacks and has a longer effect. Perhaps you could only use one weapon's effect for the entire party. So Desert Sage's and Kagotsurube Isshin could see some more use.
One of the new artifact sets in 4.6 is centered around the burning effect.
My add to this is that Navia E should have been able to retain the elements of the crystalize shards she absorbs and deal elemental damage with boosted damage based on her EM. Wouldve had amazing synergy with albedo and wouldve been a super unique design for a geo character that still fits with geo's inert status

Having cryo react with dendro or even blooms isn't even that hard to imagine. Frost damage on plants is a whole ass thing. The water inside the plant freezes, and water expands when it freezes, rupturing the plant.
Dendro and geo too: erosion includes rocks breaking due to plants growing in them and wedging it open over time. Alternatively, plants need earth to grow. Have plants grow that like. slow movement speed of enemies or briefly stuns (though i would hate this being applied to the player because i already *despise* electro-charged and freeze reactions i don't need another one to piss me off).
Geo+Anemo=Dust. Not sure what the effect would be exactly. Miss chance? Just damage?
Also an "on-field bow summoner" is what I thought Gorou would be when I first saw his character concept. General + Bow + Geo (puppy things as a geo construct/summon) following him around and obeying his orders. And then I learned what he actually does. Disappointment.
Note- For bow main DPS, there is Tighnari and Ganyu! You don't have to use only Pyro.

Utilize the game's crafting system and add potions/charms/ammo or the like that can be slotted onto weapons in the same manner that weapons and artifacts are slotted onto characters. It would allow for basic attack infusions/conversions, attack speed increases, skill hold/charge time decreases(e.g. lisa, bennet), or whatever you want really, including the ideas you presented in this video. I think the important part is that it would allow these things to happen without directly stepping on the toes of existing characters, weapons, and artifacts. This allows these effects to be used in conjunction with similar effects from aforementioned sources instead of in competition. Slots for these items could be one per weapon maybe up to three. Limitations for balance would likely be needed if multiple could be slotted but there's no need for such specifics right now. The available number of slots would not scale with weapon rarity just as artifact slots do not scale with character rarity. If we were lucky and got additional "endgame" content these items or the materials for these items could additionally be obtained as drops for completions and challenge/achievement completions within it.

okay, so i do have admit, a lot of these ideas are pretty atrocious, but i love hearing them regardless. especially the part about knocking characters away and pulling them back. usually any type of knockback is really bad because you want every enemy in range of your attacks, and thats also why groupers are so valuable.
besides that, being able to mimic someones burst/skill would very, very much break the game. not only would it spawn a lot of unintended effects for characters not designed with two of them in mind, but every further character created would have to be designed with them in mind too, potentially stunting their potential.
having a weapon that could convert elemental damage would kind of reduce the worth of charactets who's sole value is applying said element, which would also affect how future characters are designed. id have to admit that breaking up the cryo/electro physical duo would be nice if i could just slap an electro polearm on my mika or my rosaria
i do agree on the parts about infusion and a dendro/cryo reaction, and the utilization of pretty underused stats like attack speed.

I dont know about this, the Elemental Reaction thingy is already well develop, the thing is that, is just how dank things can get with the team building just using the Elements and the mechanics each team could have, like crow control, Frontloads, Setups, double swirl, dash cancel, hit lag thingy and the thing were we can hit multiple times with the pyronado a single opponent just by moving our character. This is more a personal take, but in 2:39 this should be a part of the crystalize and not a character (Because it would be a useless char to be honest) And the Anemo + Geo damage... nah that would just make the things worse for Geo, but i like the idea of the Crystilize just not being just a shield but a bit of Elemental Application too.
