I do enjoy my JHS Colour Box. I have used it direct recording many times, but never mounted it to my board(s). Maybe I would but I like to use it on vocals and bass sometimes, too.

Video starts... you're playing these total 80's chords, in a total 80's sounding tone... I mean REAL 80's tone. Then you start your very accurate discription of this pedal...
I was SO happy I wasn't just me ''hearing" it in my head, "thinking" that it was sooooooo friggin' 80's sounding! He's doing that on purpose!!! 😂👍 That box is CRAZY-80's-sounding tone. Looks like a nicely built kit too, but I'm not sure the world is ready for something THAT 80's sounding yet. Soon, though... soon... New is Old, and Old is New before ya realize. hehe

@@GetUpTo88 lol Nah... I'm old as well, so I can truly appreciate these tones. They are timeless, and even though I don't play with them in my repitertoire , I really dig how authentic they were. I found it funny how at first, I thought it was my own head making it sound more 80's than the gear was.
Maybe that's too abstract?

I used to like going DI, but I had waaaay too much lag.
So not using the DI, but using the headphone out you can use the cab sim right? Meaning just don’t send the out to your amp but still get the amp with the cab sim.
I used the XLR DI to the board. You can send the cab sim to both the XLR out and the headphone jack 👍
