@@Afirmations send me your shop, but if you follow what i said in the video it will pick up. its usually slow to start with unless you have sort after niche stock
As a top seller, been on the app 2+ years, I think having a variety of different stock is what makes my store stand out more then someone who post just one style of items I have constant messages saying they love my stuff because i have a wide range of different items, I feel like just selling jumpers is cool but if someone doesn’t want a jumper they won’t check ur store know for just jumpers. People keep coming back when they don’t know what the next item is A-posed to knowing ur going to post a jumper :), but I see also that posting similar items would help it it’s own way for sure! Just my experience, thanks for the great video I did get some good info from this with the algorithm stuff!! Looking forward to more
The flip side is if you're looking for a jumper it's easier to shop and find one on a shop that only sells jumpers over a shop that sells everything. You're selling your style which keeps people coming back for you. I'm assuming you model your stock also?
I respect how you feel about selling on depop. If that's your thing. But I sell everything of quality I can and I'm doing great. As a matter of fact I know that's why. Many buyers have let me know how they love the fact i have so much to choose from. One stop shop.😊
This guy talks the talk and walks the walk . No " B.S ". The funny thing I brought two vintage boil suit in really good condition, before I ever so this video. Definitely worth taking advice from him.
I recently started selling on depop last month, and it feels impossible. The only thing I'm returning a profit on is shoes. The items on my shop are decent, my prices are more than reasonable, and my descriptions are in-depth complete with measurements. It just feels like I'm not getting anywhere. I wish more people were like you and made real videos on how to do better sales rather than the usual "take good pictures" really sick of hearing that one at the moment.
@@justoldthings it's @positivit_inc Thank you so much it would mean the world. I'm dropping items tonight and planning on adding more in-depth measurements to beat the algorithm.
Just checked it out and all i can say is that i'm not sure what you are selling on first glance. Are you selling the top? the belt? the bottoms? Also the newspaper frame or the ribbon is very distracting. Maybe take a closer outfit picture and make the item you are selling the main focus. You do have good pricing and good photos its just a bit confusing.
@@bvsically I just visited your store. It appears you only have about 30 items listed. If you want more consistent daily sells, you need more listings. Over a hundred is ideal.
As you said, you‘re focusing on quantity over quality. But the problem, that I got with it is, that it‘s really hard to keep track on all the orders and to write invoices for every single order, even if I only made like 5€ on one order. Is there a possibility, or programm to make automaticly invoices?
I think a full time seller who has good equipment for pictures etc etc depop is the app to use however i buy puma wholesale from a nearby salvage shop but store it in my parents house which is small and so i use vinted and ebay mainly because it allows to take more pics and so i can show my buyers i have the real deal ie taking 2 3 pics of labels authenticity codes etc etc
Just use a collage app - or even a slideshow maker for a video - to get the extra pics you need into your Depop listings. I hardly ever just use the 4 photos…

As a seller who uses more than one platform for my items - and knowing Google pics up on photos with white backgrounds - I have to disagree with the white background thing. I don’t have time to edit the photos special for Depop, and I don’t know that I buy in to “brand/shop loyalty” either. If I’m scrolling and see a bunch of white backgrounds it doesn’t matter to me in the slightest that they’re all from different shops… I’m looking for the item I want, not what shop it came from. I mean, how many Eastpak backpacks does one person need? 😊🤷🏻♀️ Just my 2 cents as a not quite but *this* close to verified seller making consistent daily sales with white backgrounds and a mix of inventory. (BTW, I do organize my shop by using my likes tab as categories!)
when it comes to Depop, getting people in to your shop from the search is something you want to aim for. you will struggle to do that if you dont stand out. Im not talking about other platforms or google just depop. I sell eastpaks and you might be shocked how many repeat customers we have for them. Lets not forget to mention the amount of people who use photoroom to make white backgrounds having their items removed as they are mistaken for stock photos also. Returning customers something that is common on depop, you should consider trying to tap in to it :)
i cant sell anything on depop i put authentic Armani jacket on there for £35 it wont sell i put it down to £20 still cant sell it. i am convinced if i put it on for £3 people still wont buy it i just dont get this platform.
It's a fairly common term on Depop. Basically when you edit and save your listings (you don't need to actually edit anything just click edit and then save) it moves you back to the top of the search

The reason I am asking is I just started like month ago and each time I list an item I get those messages from people who want to buy the item but they need either my email address or phone number.
