    Hey guys, what do you think, is this a solid budget alternative to the Seiko Sarb033? Keep in mind they also do a 40mm if this one is a little to small for you. Thanks guys and have a good one.

    The line is there because they are hollow links they are just put together to look like they’re solid and that is the seam where the two pieces connect. All of their new Seiko 5 Watches have the seam on the bracelet as well.

    • @WesWatchRoom
      @WesWatchRoom  2 года назад

      Thank you for the information, thought it was a bit weird for a solid link to have a line so that makes sense. I suppose it's better than the older method they used but why they aren't solid I don't know.

    Just to let you know I bought one and I love it. On mine the seconds hand is very accurate. It hits perfectly in between each marker! Oh well, I think I would actually prefer completely out to just slightly out, strangely!

    • @WesWatchRoom
      @WesWatchRoom  2 года назад

      Oh yeah its a great watch and yeah seems to be a common problem these days. But yeah I agree, if it hit bang in the middle of the markers I wouldn't notice as much.

    Needs to be available in a range of case sizes from 34mm upwards.
    REALLY need the date to be white on black.
    I sometimes think that Seiko doesn't have a clue about customer choice...

    Nice review mate! It is a huge surprise Seiko put a piece of sapphire on this quite affordable piece while putting a crappy Hardlex on watches costing more than twice as much. Agree about the date wheel. The bracelet links are solid in terms of not having cavities inside of them but they consist of folded elements whose sides are them being polished, hence that little visible line.

    • @WesWatchRoom
      @WesWatchRoom  2 года назад +1

      Thanks mate and yeah was surprised by that too, maybe they're finally listening or maybe just had some spare crystals lying around. Oh I didn't know that. Honestly thought they were solid. But thinking on it now, thats probably why its so light.

    • @Agent-vj3ns
      @Agent-vj3ns Год назад

      They're hollow and folded, the end links are hollow too, it's painfully obvious. But these look great on leather bands or aftermarket 18mm bracelets.

    This is a watch that I've been looking at, but I've been keeping an eye out for the blue version. It looks like a fantastic watch for the price, if you don't mind quartz. The only thing holding me back is the bracelet. I think it's a very nicely done folded link bracelet. But still folded, and I just don't like the sound it makes. But anyway, great review!

    Very nice watch. Would prefer the larger one though. I think my sweet spot nowadays is 40 to 43. Problem with Seiko quartz watches is that they are too expensive. Luckily for me I find plenty of Casio analogs I like (and they tend to hit the markers "always") and Orient makes and offers tons of quartz analogs in my country. Great video, thanks!

    • @WesWatchRoom
      @WesWatchRoom  2 года назад +2

    Is the second hand slack causing it to miss some markers? That's quite common on cheaper quartz movements. Seiko put a spring to counteract the slack on their top movements. Funny they do a quartz movement with 4 ticks per second but have never used it in any of their own watches to my knowledge.

    • @WesWatchRoom
