whenever i'm feeling down or unmotivated with my work/progress, i go back to this vlog and listen to your pep talk. I keep getting sucked into this black hole of comparing myself to others. I was reading an old 2015 i-D magazine the other day and noticed that majority of the people featured are way younger than me (i'm 21). Then i remembered this pep talk you did on this vlog and watched it. thank you raych for the amazing advice (instant motivation booster). i just need to remind myself that it's a process and i just need to HUSTLE AND HUSTLE HARD, and that no one's really paying attention to how slow my progress is because that's just putting unnecessary pressure on myself.
One of the main reasons I love to watch your vlogs is to see that hustle. I've been feeling so uninspired and lost lately because I feel ready to go out there and get shit done but I don't even know what I want! Like you, I know I want to create something. I've been vlogging and have been able to get enough work as a freelance graphic designer part time, but I don't think it's what I want to end up doing. Maybe I'm just scared and putting more thought than action into it. I'm 22, didn't go to college because I knew I wanted to do something artsy and eclectic and I wanted to avoid the inevitable debt. One goal that I just accomplished is moving across the country to Seattle. No financial help from parents or anything, so I think it's something to be proud of. But I still feel stagnant. I don't know. I just want to do a little of everything, but I have to figure out how to make money off of it. Yada yada yada. So anyways, that's my life story, haha :)

I'm a photographer, I ditched uni because I found doing free work and collaborations taught me so much more and only a few months down the line I'm working with upcoming brands. When I first started doing free work my parents did not approve but here I am getting more and more done! WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING YOU MUST GET YOURSELF OUT THERE BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE IS GOING TO DO YOUR WORK AND WHEN YOU SOMEONE TELLS YOU THAT YOU CAN'T DO SOMETHING PROVE THEM WRONG
You are so right, hustle hard. I edited photos for six years unpaid just because I loved doing it, landed a job at Bloomingdales editing for them, and I just interviewed for NIKE, as a editor. I can't tell you the countless hours I have spent editing just because. Hustle hard, no ones going to do anything for you.
