Eugene Gameux Well, its all quite complicated. First Lindsey wrote a letter, then she had to find a carrier pigeon, problem was, she had no pigeons, so he ran out, and like the fiddler she is, she began playing her violin, and pigeons began swarming her. Enchanted by her songs the pigeons danced along side her swaying to her motions. When Lindsey cries in happiness, the pigeons cry. She grabbed one of the pigeons, a black one, with white spotted eyes. His name was Bartholomew, and attached the letter to its leg. The pigeon flew across the nation fighting rain and thunder, hurricane like winds, and random bullets over Texas to reach me. In the message it wrote "Watch Eugene's video, I liked it a lot, and I love my fans".
So I went online and I checked it out.

There is also the possibility that I am subscribed to her channel, and Lindsey has a notification for videos that she "liked this video". Its just I'm loquacious, and I find it difficult to put forth a laconic response. I think Lindsey would have preferred it that way. :)

This is actually my first time seeing her on a live shoot! Pretty cool...
I have tickets to see her in Seattle with my 7yr old son! So exciting!
When? That's so cool... I plan on going up to Washington in June to my cousins wedding. I would love to see Lindsey in concert and even better, in person! I think I might have had a chance here in Oregon, but I realized from a Church talk today that I was scared to talk to her (if it was her where I think I saw her).
Awsome news!!! I was able to get a concert ticket and VIP meet and greet for May 19th. My dream will come true... Alright, time to face a fear as well :-) Oh yeah!

Actually...she has a pretty voice,she could sing if she wants to. This woman is awesome(of course the studio tracks will sound better,thats what they are paid for!)

Lindsey is very talented but once you've seen one of her video's you've seen them all. There is only so much you can do while playing the violin. She has made a name for herself and proved all the naysayers wrong. Now it's time for her to join a Orchestra or something....unless she can sing!!
No one has replied to your post therefore I do: I not agree that if you've seen a video of Lindsey've seen them all ... but you've seen them all? She has demonstrated to the judges of America's Got Talent 2010 that they were wrong, and now expected to enter into an orchestra? Sharon said, "you need a group ..." Then what the judges had recommended? We fans love Lindsey as she is, and maybe so, I believe that you have not seen her last video, wonderful, ... This is just my opinion though respect, but do not agree with yours. KSLL (:

newseagull I'm not saying she should join a orchestra to be just a nobody but rather she would be the main attraction. The orchestra would be supporting her. James Buswell flew into Denver to play with the Denver Philharmonic symphony back in November and I was there. Lindsay could do the same thing.
SuperPsychoterror Well I don't see her being Fist Chair not sure how much classical she did before ... that is a very political group she is most likely pulling down WAY more ... but in a city orchestra she would not have to travel so much ...
You mean like the other "record breaker violinist" David Garrett? I just read his net worth was $2 million. He's active before Miley Cyrus was born! And if Cyrus was @ $2 million, that means she's broke and we might see her in the news ODing from depression! :P
You're prolly one of those traditional orchestra die-hards, but google "orchestra bankruptcy" and see how bad this lost art is. Not that money is everything, but at least it's a point system to measure demand. Lindsey has demonstrated clearly that she alone is capable of unheard-of violinist growth by increasing the breadth and budget of her vids using these "points" various types of audiences (not just violin freaks) are willing to throw at her. I don't see how they look the same at all. So it's not Lindsey who needs to go Orchestra. The Orchestras need to go Lindsey! ;)

I'm not as into recordings of live concerts, too much of the audience gets in there. The mic was too close to the percussionist. I want to hear Lindsey, the sounds around her, only enough to give the feeling of the live concert atmosphere.
I once saw Lindsey touch a dead sparrow and it came back to life...ok, it didn't because there was no dead sparrow but if there had been and if Lindsey had touched it that little bird would be flying today.

it is true you are right .... I have other exciting videos like this but have the same problem: good quality video, audio overclipping ... if you have suggestions or you're able to normalize the audio track you're welcome ...
Sry, but once you got clipping at a track, there´s no way to correct it.
For the next takes:
1. reduce audio recording level to a volume of 50-60%. (hope you have that funktion on your recording device)
2. use audiosoftware with a audiocompressor,
load audiotrack to track one and set the effekt "compressor" to that track.
Settings: threshold -16 db, ratio 3,5:1, gain -3 db (to reduce all the loud parts)
3. normalize audio to -0.2 db (to turn up the sound all over)
4. save audiofile including effekt and merge that track to your video. (you can do that with mkvtoolnix. Link: www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVtoolnix) (open source)
A good software for editing on audio is Audacity and it´s completely free. (no payment, it´s open source)

I´ve found a recording device for you, what have the ability to solve your sound recording problem.
It´s called: Zoom H2N.
It has a Compressor/Limiter build in.
Check it out on Amazon or so.
In really rare cases you would be allowed to connect to your device to the
Stagemixer directly. (Result: perfekt sound)
That is really not often allowed. (´bout copyright and so)
But sometimes, if you ask gently, you will be allowed to do this.

The audience is ruining this video. It sounds like 2 people actually know the words and the rest of them prefer to mumble.
I'm sorry you feel that way ... it's a live shoot and certainly becomes difficult to tell the public what to do and what to say to get a great video shoot. Even my audio is awful but after several months from shooting I had 2 options: or share it with other fans or only keep it to myself ... I chose the first option and I hope you are a little bit glad for my choice -
