WOW great finds
Good score!
Thanks, interesting those older motors allsow the action, like to see if they will go, Will do that hear when able, time is the main issue. Have fun.
never enough time ALWAYS enough projects!
Those old engines remind me of the old Whittie (sp?) Generators I come across once in a while up here across Alaska. They're just simple single-lung motors with huge flywheels. Easy to rebuild, many still in daily use. Cool finds!
yes I know the engines/generators you are talking about! that auction was so drool worthy! I mean like on an insane level...Dad and I went and we were like a "hog in slop" as my Dad says lol anyway he went back to one of the later auctions and bought a 1947 Cushman...same year he had as a young man! he was so tickled to get it and he got a fantastic deal on it!
I loved that American flyer bike and the golden hawk studebaker looked alright too. My mothers boyfriend had one before I was born which suprised me as I've only ever seen 2 over here in OZ. Some of those bilkes went pretty expensive. I would have loved you as my mum, . You picked up a great haul.
Yes the American flyer whizzer bike was my favorite thing there! Was so raw and untouched for years...gritty to the core! What a compliment, hope my son says I was a good mum when he is all grown up😉
Great to hear you again. Missed you last week.
Going thru pickle withdrawal
haha yeah...I have a video filmed, but didn't have the time to edit it!
thanks so much, sometimes life catches up...
I knew you would get that tool box, watching this I was thinking; if those engines could talk the stories they would have to share.
I know right...this guy's collection has been insane, we went to one of the previous ones too...they are having two more next week and then one in March!
I seen a awesome mini volkswagon truck built from a vintage refrigerator I'm thinking on building myself. Could be the perfect future gocart project for you also
great idea!
hat was fun :) thanks
this guy had the collection for sure!
I got to start going-to auctions. I want to get a international harvester hit & miss to go in back of my scout.
one sold at this auction for $65! was missing mag so i think that is why it sold to cheap...I'm just learning all the specifics...always wanted one since I was about 10 years old...
What a great deal Marcie, Mustie 1 must be drooling if he saw this.
He commented 7hrs before you did. Read you'll find out what he had to say.
So, I'm guessing you didn't get the Stude...oh well. That was a good haul of engines, & I'm glad you got the toolbox & cabinet - because that's what I would've gone after too.
Cabinet patina is killer! I had a hard time letting the stude go but I have so many project! Not enough time! Ha the guy def had great taste tho!
That car! What a beauty. VWs are nice but such a car and for that money, I would be tempted to sell everything for that one.
haha yep, it was pretty stinky inside and wasn't the golden or silver hawk thus no super/turbo charger so didn't sell for that much
What a haul, nice job and thanks for showing us around! That old yellow tool box is exactly what I’ve been looking for.... too bad it’s up there lol
VWJawbreaker seriously dude, if you want it I’ll ship it your way! Happy to!
marcijunebug I appreciate it but you keep it and put it to good use! It would work great for spare parts in a VW 😉
Pretty cool, can you imagine… Wayback when buying one of those hit and miss engines freeing you up from all that hard work? And a washing machine engine can you imagine? Doing your laundry by hand for a big family. Then receiving a washing machine engine To do your wash with? The first tractor, looks like a GP. Predecessor of an A. Can you imagine going from plowing with a horse, or having a tractor like that? Well, that’s what happened. Neat stuff.
The Cushman engine you have, was an industrial engine as you know. But the neat thing about the Cushman husky was it had an oil pump. It wasn’t much of a pump. But it did have an oil pump in it, and did not rely on a slinger to oil the engine. That’s why they lasted so long, and probably why it still has compression. Ha ha Ha
Dad had to Cushman eagles that we rode around when we were kids. He restored those, sold those and bought a cab scooter. There is one in the video. I can’t remember what it was called. Pacemaker I think. He ended up giving it to me. But I sold it.
It was neat, but you really couldn’t drive it anywhere safely. It only had a rear brake, and wouldn’t go very fast.
My Dad had a step through Cushman, but yeah the Eagle was the one to have! thanks for being here and for always being so supportive!
Hi Marci, The Auction was cool to see. I found a free generator down the street. 1978 JC Penney, Briggs Stratton 10hp engine with a generac alternator. Runs good but no power to even run a light bulb. The old AVR is no good. I can get a newer version one for a 5000 watt for 20 bucks online. I already started the video but on hold till I get one to see if it will work?
cool will be looking forward to seeing it!
Whooo hoooooop.
U struck gold with. Those engines and the cabinet...looks like an old DORMAN screws and bolt assortment bin and should fetch a good buck with it....did the Harley run????? MUSTIE wood have had OD on that auction with all that vintage stuff. Good background muzak too!!!!!!!
cabinet is an equipto and since I scored the Dorman one the last auction I'm selling this one...the patina is so awesome it will sell easily. Not sure on Harley, they did not start it there, car ran...
Toolbox got the right amt of dents and dings, IMHO. Leave alone anß just qwick scrub and satin. Clear......same with bin.....?How about making the inop motors into a steàmpunk type floor lamps and
Leave rough distressed look?
ger traba yes it does! It will be the “tool box” in pickle I believe! I used a bit of steel wool and got the “chain saw” marker off there, otherwise it’s perfect I’d say! Lots of build material here for sure!
Gasp!!! You went to Dinkys without me????!!!! I thought we were friends.... Lol
Oh I see it's not actually dinkys so your forgiven.lol
😆
I want the cabinet.
Send it over
haha...it is very cool!
Yay I've been looking forward to a marci film fantastic
thanks Chunk!
@@marcijunebug all the scooters I wanted to bid on the two red ones how much did they sell for ? . I did a lexmoto tornado 50cc this week got it running and but new belts on great fun
A ton of great stuff at the auction. The haul you came home with will prove to be very useful for sure. BIG THUMBS UP
I love going and always a good time when I can get my dad to go!
I seem to remember another youtuber needing better rims for a chushman
who was it?
Aww some guy from NE. Who mcgyvered a set by drilling out some close rims, his yt content slowed down since he moved on up and now posts only on Sundays....(ha ha ha)
@@gertraba4484 i was going to say that
@@gertraba4484 i now know you have watched his videos as much as i have.
And pucked up on the little things as well.
Unless its you who im talking about..
Naw just kidding, M1 GOOD POSYER
I'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to events like this lol. There were some really great items to choose from and you and your Dad scored nicely. Also a good way to relax and get away for a little while too. Thanks for sharing!
Always love a good auction! Such a rush and fun for so few dollars! Lol
👍👍👍👍 nice nice lady
fun stuff there! wish I knew more about all those old engines...learned a lot while I was there!
if your going to get into old engines find a copy of American Gasoline Engines since 1872. by C.H. Wendel. it has info and pictures of engines. Your Lauson engine shown I think is from the John Lauson Manufacturing Co. of New Holstein Wisconsin. They were didn't make it thru the Depression and were sold out in 1935. The Hart-Carter Company of Peoria, Il. bought the plant in 1941 who built thousands of engines which were simular to the engines that were built since 1936. Which was sold to Techumsen Products Co in 1956.
hey thanks for the info! I will def check that out!
Dang wish I'd been there, love the Whizzer!
edward mckenzie I know that thing was the best thing there! It was really gritty and “perfect” just the way it was
Always good finds at Auctions! Love those old bikes. Something for everyone.
I ALWAYS find something!
How about a inside shop vid of U creating artsy pieces outs your junk? With viewer recommendations of what you can make once you assemble the piles of stuff
@@gertraba4484 I've done a few of those, but ironically you are the THIRD person today that has requested I do that, so I will!
Yup, could see a engine block all semi dolled up with a brass pole and pull chain switch with a fabric period shade …..........hey the shows are coming and u need inventory
wisch a was there.a did like that american flyer very mutch
I know right!!??? very cool piece that one!
Hey Marcijunebug 'Snap' I went out and bought a 1964 Yanmar NTS85 marine deisel last week ......What for ??...I don't know ....But it's mine now !!
Haha sweet! There is a guy bus grease monkey here on YT that worked on one some months back! Check out his channel if you haven’t already!
Dear Misses Marci.
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! You made awesome good deals! Nearly unbeliiiievable! Congrats, congrats, congrats! Although this auction was at least well presented I always wonder how ridiculous those North American auctioneers "talk" and act. It's really painful to watch and hear. Additionally it seems to me that they almost never do a good job for the owners/sellers.
But please don't get me wrong: I definitely love to see that you are making such extremely good deals! But it's absolutely a shame and a pity for the sellers respectively former owners (14 engines for 30 bucks, good grief!).
Uuuuh, I would love to have that metal drawer cabinet and the toolbox.
Thank you so much for making recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health.
Postscriptum: I bet that there will be some kind of vehicles for your great kid made with/out of those engines in the future.
P.P.S.: It is possible that you made Mustie1 jealous about having so many engines/motors. LOL :-) ;-)
Mustie has more engines in his corner closet than I have here total! lol
Dear@@marcijunebug
Thanks for replying.
Do you really think so? Anyway: Even if you actual had one more engine, it wouldn't take a long time until great Mustie1 would be the "motorstoragewinner" again. At least not since he now has his dream workshop with lots and lots of dry space for storage and that great forklift. ;-) :-)
Sincerely yours.
You got a very nice score there. I need to hit up an auction again soon myself.
So much fun, this estate is having 3 more auctions coming up! So we will try to go to a couple more!
Love it. That drawer unit is gold. I can’t wait for some project vids on those engines. Thanks for taking us to the auction!
yes! and yes! ha can't wait to dig into them!
marcijunebug i’d want to leave the skeleton and epoxy over it!
oh i'm a science nerd...I kept it! lol it was PERFECT! lol
marcijunebug 👍
What a haul! Darrin Mustie would even be jealous. I’m so glad you grabbed the tool box. I saw the reflectors. You would fall over if you saw how much they go for on Long Island. Fun video Marci.
the reflectors alone have made my $ back that I spent at the auction! couldn't pass that box up for $5, no way!
Ya, I saw what was in that yellow tackle box & knew u would pick that up. Great fine indeed! It's been a lo g time since I've been to an auction. Tons of fun!
Lots of nice stuff 👍🏻🙂❤ And nice scores 👌
Wow, so many cool stuff. The scooters are my favourites and i love these old tool boxes crammed with history.
I'm such a sucker for boxes and drawers!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
View #267 at 11:48 AM on 2/20/20 - NJ.....Marci would you know how much the American Flyer went for.
the whizzer one? it was around $1,400
the other bikes all sold for around $100
@@marcijunebug wow great for the seller. It looked like a mustie1 original.
@@johnflynn9463 it was cool, but were some parts that weren't correct for sure...I would have bought it for $500-600 but I was out pretty early on that one! lol
Anyway nice to see you're back, looking forward to more action on the vw van. Thanks for the entertainment!
that my kinda fun, you scored on those engines, the car went for a good deal too, if you find that you end up with an extra cushman fan housing l would be a buyer as mine is missing, looking forward to the will it run vids,
I was going to do the will it run on the trash pump one....but then this guy Mustie went and put one up a couple days ago...sooooooo...guess I won't do THAT!! 😆Is the Cushman Husky housing on the two engines we got the same one you need? I'm excited to see if I can get that Lauson going...no compression but likely just a valve issue
@@marcijunebug dont ya hate when that happens, hope you dont try a 1910 boat engine as thats goig up sunday, not sure on the cover as mine is missing, think its a 8hp but gotta check,
Mustie1 👍 I’ll let you have that one! Check on the cushman cover, one of these is yours if you think will fit! Looking fwd to the boat engine vid
@@mustie1
Dear Sir,
nice to "meet" you here. :-)
Uuuuh, that ol' boat engine at last? The one you already tried but one of the former owners did a bad job on it? Can hardly wait to watch it runnin' (no doubt about that you will get it going).
Best regards luck health and wisdom.
@@marcijunebug
👍👌👏 I simply love the VW community. :-)
Gosh! that was a cheap Studebaker !!
yep, but not the desirable model...it wasn't a golden or silver hawk...no super/turbo charge
@@marcijunebug I find any of those Stude coupes to be desirable. Just the shape is enough for me.
Mercmad it was in great shape...very little body issues, solid car for sure! Especially for in our area of the country
i wouldnt tell anyone if i won the lotto--but there would be signs
Exactly! 🤣
Awesome, as always! Being a gearhead, I always enjoy looking at all of that history. Kind of glad that I missed this auction though. It would have done nothing but add to my hoarder status even more. Haha! Thanks again for sharing. :-)
Thanks F, I see I have several of your adventures to catch up on! thanks for being here! they are having 2 more auctions on same estate next wed and fri...check it out on auctionzip.com or their FB page, Robinson Action Service in Orleans
I'm so jealous you want to get married.
Already taken! Lol I wish I’d had about 100k to drop at that auction! So much goodness in one place!
