Dave that was a dope tour. I heard that they were opening a location on the west coast which makes sense logistically. Do you remember how much the bicolor went for? I know the FL location has them for 120. I was thinking about picking one up. Have yet to see a mature one but heard they grow fast.
Hey thanks! The Bicolor I purchased for 90$ because it was in smaller pot and discount. But the majority where 120 with 20% off. Good to hear that they grow fast, I wanted a medium sized one, so that I can get it started on a moss pole easier.
Okay cool. That's a good deal. Getting it on a pole should definitely speed things up once it acclimates to your spot. I am going to bite the bullet this week to get that one and the anthurium balaoanum. Looking forward to your updates on that and the queen
@@The_Planted_Eye_1 I'm glad you're gonna get one. I think its a fair deal for 120 being its non-import. I also do not see Bicolors dropping below 80$ anytime soon.
Dave, thanks for the tour. I'm looking forward to seeing an update of your new purchases. The hoody looks cool too. I tried it a couple of times on t shirts before I figured it out.
Wonderful tour, thank you for taking us along. Dave you got the bicolor!!! I've been wanting one for so long. That other monstera you picked up looked very interesting. I thought for sure you would get it. Enjoy Ecuagenera in Cali!!
Another great thing about them being in Cali is the fast shipping. I ordered my anthurium on Monday and it’s arriving today. Less stress on the plant and shorter time to acclimate. So happy!
Lucky you!! Ecugenera close by! 💚 The BiColor is amazing!! The plant business must not be doing to bad if their opening a new shop.💚😀 that’s good news!
Ahhh that is so cool you have an Ecuagenera shop so close to you, I am so jealous! Although I might actually go bankrupt if I had one too close. I love your aroid district hoodie 🔥
I have an a. timplowmanii, and I really like it, it's an easy care shelf/desk plant, it doesn't get much bigger than that, it holds leaves well and is quite stately for a little guy. Tom Croat found it in Peru not that long ago, there are about 10 he found at the same time, been meaning to try getting ahold of some of the others, as they are from the same area and a. timplowmanii is so easy. I think my favorite Ecuagenera plant (I have a lot) is geoppertia gandersii, I know aroids are your thing, but not a very hard plant to care of, just needs filtered water. Spathiphyllum ivanportillae, named after Ivan that works at Ecuagenera, is up there too, another easy care shelf/desk plant.
Nice! I like how the Timplowmanii looks like the rare Longissimun Anthurium. I do like the more simple Geos (Calathea). Thanks for the information on the origins!
This location is way too conveniently placed for plant collectors in San Diego and Orange County. It was heaven walking through there with so many beautiful plants!
Monetarily it still makes a lot more $$$ sense to buy directly from the mothership and have it shipped to their Bonsall greenhouse. One example is a plant for $80 there that I have bought for $24 online (on sale). They had a few sickly of this species at Bonsall and I made a mercy offer, and they refused, so they shall finish withering and die there in their dry Bonsall greenhouses. That variegated hibiscus you were goo goo over is a very common, cheap plant in places like Puerto Rico. I know that because I have a home there and 45 minutes north of Bonsall. Thanks for the video. I know what you're saying about the Philo patricae. I have some outside of my shade house in PR and they are not as happy as the ones inside my shade house with very constant, moist soil. The last time I was there your boy Josh they said was gone.
Hey yes I’ve had Verru’s for yrs. They are very finicky. They only do well for me in cool temperatures and moist media. Medium lights is ok but once you place it somewhere for a while, it will decline if you move it!
I’m so curious how much albos are there, the price has been dropping online so I feel like it would be great there . Loves this video, new sub for sure!!!!
The heatwave was brutal!!! I had turned off my lights also due to the flex alerts too! So glad it’s October now!!! I wanted to go but I have a special needs son & I don’t think he would last the ride and look at plants 😅
Sure was! I didn’t know that I prefer Fall season until now lol. Don’t worry, if you’re in LA area, there is a place called Rainforest Flora that he would enjoy. Has waterfalls, turtles and Plants. As for Ecuagenera Cali, the website will have plants for purchase.
I love ecuagenera! Their prices are ridiculously low for gigantic aroids. Their insta lives are great, they’ve recently been selling off mother stock and the plants are HUGE. I think the issue comes down to people having really unrealistic expectations. These plants spend daysss in a box. I just think they aren’t for beginners.
I agree, some people may be unrealistic, but some actually aren't. I have plant collector friends who received the wrong plant or didn't get email replies to legitimate concerns. I overall like their company and will continue to shop with them. Hopefully they do that Insta live sell at Cali location.
Love Ecuagenera....Although some folks have had issues with them i never have. I have bought several times from them (ecuador not florida ) and have always received plants that were much larger than expected and healthy.....even a regale seedling which came with 4 perfect leaves and has doubled its size has gaven me 4 more leaves in just 2 months. i hope to make their next pop up in new jersey...🤞🪴
That’s pretty good! I’ve had a couple of hiccups purchasing from the Florida location but overall they normally correct any issue. Hope you have fun at the Pop-Up.

Beautiful plants everywhere 😍 thanks for the video tour.
My pleasure 😊
Thanks for sharing the tour 😊 Even if you can't buy them all, it must so exciting to see those amazing plants in person.
You're welcome. Yes I feel the same way. As a collector I am ok with not having them all, I still like to observe them.
Congratulations on you Philodendron bicolor. Elegant and awesome.
Thank you! I’m most excited about that one
I don't know who is cuter , you or the Bi-color but I think your smile has me leaning towards you.....Great video as always , keep them coming 😊
Wow, thanks!
Dave, thanks for the tour. I'm looking forward to seeing an update of your new purchases. The hoody looks cool too. I tried it a couple of times on t shirts before I figured it out.
Thanks. I’ll definitely show updates. Glad you like the hoodie!
Good morning Dave. Thanks for the funny skit and overall informative video. Hoodie looks cool 😎
Thank you, I made that Hoodie a couple days ago...it was a disaster but its growing on me.
Wonderful tour, thank you for taking us along. Dave you got the bicolor!!! I've been wanting one for so long. That other monstera you picked up looked very interesting. I thought for sure you would get it. Enjoy Ecuagenera in Cali!!
Thanks! I gotta pace myself with the purchases.
Thanks for this video. Everything is beautiful I would’ve gone crazy!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for posting this! I live in Cali so I just ordered an anthurium from them and I plan to visit their new shop soon.
You're welcome! I also just did my first online order with them. Hopefully you get a perfect Anthurium.
Another great thing about them being in Cali is the fast shipping. I ordered my anthurium on Monday and it’s arriving today. Less stress on the plant and shorter time to acclimate. So happy!
Dave, thank you for the Ecuagenera Store Tour! And nice haul! Love it ❤️
Thank you!
Thanks for the tour, looks amazing
Thanks for watching!
That Monstera Hibrida caught my eye straight away, saving up for that one. Lucky you to have that on your doorstep.
I should've checked the price on that one. Yeah I think I will be utilizing their website every time there is a sale.
I want the tortum next. You couldn't help but get you something. 😘🙏🏾😇
Great haul! I would’ve definitely brought home a bicolor too especially at 20% off. I love the tie die hoody too, looks cool
Thank you! Glad you like the hoodie...I went a lil crazy with the bleach lol.
Lucky you!! Ecugenera close by! 💚 The BiColor is amazing!! The plant business must not be doing to bad if their opening a new shop.💚😀 that’s good news!
Thank you! Oh Ecuagenera is doing well! They are going world wide, I heard the owner discuss opening South East Asia location.
So pretty plants 💚 😍
Ooh 🥵 that bicolor 💚 Thanks for sharing!
I was going to go yesterday but I’m def going today ! 🤩
I thought about going back for more Anthuriums but I’m not in the mood for frwy traffic lol. Have fun!
dope tour, I haven't gotten anything from them "yet" they got some good prices too I see👀👀
Thanks, yeah it was worth checking out. I should've asked more questions like, what type of water they use...how do they manage pest.
Awesome tour!
Thank you!
Ahhh that is so cool you have an Ecuagenera shop so close to you, I am so jealous! Although I might actually go bankrupt if I had one too close. I love your aroid district hoodie 🔥
Thank you! So glad Ecuagenera is giving us more options other than importing.
Ah I have so many comments but... 😌😇. Thanks for the tour! 😍 Has the baby queen sized up any since you first showed it on here?
Not really, it put out a nice new leaf but it’s still small.
I have an a. timplowmanii, and I really like it, it's an easy care shelf/desk plant, it doesn't get much bigger than that, it holds leaves well and is quite stately for a little guy. Only a two-hour drive more or less, from San Diego, but that’s better than nada! Time to figure out road trip!
From San Diego??? Should be less than an hr. It’s near Oceanside.
Well duh…I could order and the delivery would be nothing… wtf is wrong w me lol

I agree, I prefer to import directly to my home when the plants are below 30$.
I am going to buy the Authrium Colombian today.
Hi Dave. Do you have a Philodendron Verrucosum in your collection? If so I would love to see how you care for it.
Hey yes I’ve had Verru’s for yrs. They are very finicky. They only do well for me in cool temperatures and moist media. Medium lights is ok but once you place it somewhere for a while, it will decline if you move it!

wow thanks so much for the sub! I just looked at the price list on my phone and they were priced at 180 ( with discount).
See how things work out. They open in Cali after.,You open your shop. Propagation MAN 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Exactly, I should've got another Philo Weezy while I was there. Couple ppl hit me up about cuttings of mine.
That hoodie gonna be on your etsy page? Thats dope!!
Oh most definitely if I can find a legit manufacturer. Glad you like it!
The heatwave was brutal!!! I had turned off my lights also due to the flex alerts too! So glad it’s October now!!!

Ok I'm really in trouble now! 🌵🪴🌴👀🌴🪴🌵
🤣 Yep! But at least it should be stress free purchasing without the import or long distance travel.
