Joe has had the privileges of speaking face to face with some of the most influential, inspirational, intelligent, creative, and overall badass people in our time. Man, what a ride he’s had.
One of the funniest jokes I heard was Joann Rivers about her husband who committed suicide. It was a real life situation with her daughter at a restaurant. Her daughter had basically withdrawn and wouldn’t speak to anybody including her mum. They were out at a restaurant and they were looking at the menu, and nobody was saying anything, then Joann said’ it’s good job daddy ain’t here, otherwise with these prices he’d kill himself all over again. And they both hysterically laughed. She then started telling that joke on stage. Brilliant.

damon2772nomad me too
I read them all twice
You're not allowed to hang out if you're on parole ;)
Are they good books?
Edit: whats the best one
@@robotrobot4430 each one is its own delight...rant, choke,...all of them really. They will put you in a forced perspective of uncomfortable self awareness.
People aren’t censoring it because it offends THEM... they censor it because it’ll offend someone they KNOW! Thats perfect
I have to download this episode! It is amazingly good!
Chuck trying his material on joe rogan is just classic.
One thing of selfeducation: read books.
"that joke would bomb, but that's because most people are good people" no, it's because people don't understand the difference between not laughing at a joke and actually fighting against real injustice. People seem to think sharing a Doug Stanhope clip online has the same effect as trying to get someone elected who will stop the drug war.
SAM K. 's Bit - On Ethiopian kids starving is one of the best ever !!!A+A+A+A+ Joe!
One of my very favorite authors!!!!!!!!!!! He is great!!! Not for everyone.
Loved Rant and Survivor, this guy is a great storyteller
when did the jre fan base turn into a bunch of pearl clutchers
Globalists are putting toxic chemicals
In the water that turn them into Gay Frogs
Hahaha this is just perfect
the greatest piper of rod
@Richie Najar Is that just a gay name for fucking?
Idk what your talking bout soros paid me to watch
I read his books in prison. Invisible monsters
Lmao as he said u can’t get it there 😂😂😂
I couldn't buy your books in Prison order order them through the library. Your mind is amazing thank you for your ability to see beyond the grey
Pain is funny. Your pain makes you laugh. And if it’s someone you really care about, it’s even more funny
one of my favorite authors. i live in PA and i know the book Snuff wasnt allowed in certain jails....im an avid JRE listener and never thought about Chuck being on. good choice Joe!!! for those of you that like his stories i recommend reading his non fiction work Stranger than Fiction...
I spent 18 months in cambria county prison and read some of his stuff
I loved the book "Damned", guess I could relate to the dead girl and the end was so weird I went searching for more of Chuck's work. His writing is really good, so different from of other authors.
Didn't Fight Club have a formula for making some kind of explosive in it? I could see why you'd want to keep that out of a prison.
So True good people save everyone...
i love that david sedaris and chuck palahniuk (my two favorite authors, add Arthur C Clarke) speak with each other
Should have brought up Bill Hicks when discussing comedy "needing to" punch up. That guy went after everybody and was often very dark in his humor.
Yea I agree. Much of Bill's material was more than comedy. And yet he was funny. Don't know exactly what joe was trying to say there. Comedy isn't just one dimensional, it can be more than just funny.
Kinison & Hicks are pretty much in the same boat
There's a Bill Hicks movie coming out!!!
My Welsh Grandfather when I had returned to Wales for the first time since we emigrated to Canada some 14 years or so prior.
He could see I liked making fun of things and joked a lot ...he said ...Donald, remember this ...it's only a joke if everyone's laughing...om almost 70 now and I've tried to adhere to that good bit of advice but I admit, it's almost impossible to follow.
I was reading some Bukowski this afternoon...That shit would not fly today.
Maybe you would love
TROPIC of CANCER and LAKED LUNCH
APE MAN i probably would, thanks. ill keep that in mind
Bukowski was a genius.
Niche markets have more value now that they're more oppressed. Supply and demand, you just need to source the forum.
Post office is still funny
I have loved that Sam Kinison bit forever!! And for a really long time no one ever heard it. So to hear Joe bring that up is so cool. Thanks Joe!
Great Content ! I've Subscribed. Greetings from the French Alps. 💖🐕
Love this guy. His mind goes to unbelievable places.
Did time in Texas and had Invisible Monsters, Snuff, and Damned BUT wasn't allowed Fight Club, Lullaby, and Survivor.
7:33 He really looked into the mouth of Rogan and was waiting so patiently for the laugh to come as though he knew Rogan had to laugh after he dropped the punch line. Look how is mouth widens as the time goes on and Rogan begins to laugh. Would have been interesting to see his next expression if Rogan didn't laugh though.
Love Chuck. Amazing writer. Amazing mind.
I wanna hang out with this guy. Seriously, I'm hooked on his stories. Not hard to look at either.
So glad no one took “ perfect naked 12 yo boy “ out of context.
Choke was he first book of his I read and i LOVED it and i just wanted to read all of them
Keep going
Yes.
One of the greatest hits of all time, I swear.....one of greatest hits of all time. Greatest of all time
I wish there were links in the description to books, videos, and podcasts mentioned.
Joe Rogan is the man - he interviews everyone really interesting - Chuck Palahniuk's my favourite writer along with Hunter Thompson :)
I get the feeling he is the Dexter of writers and may or may not be a serial killer
I really felt the story about the kid who died from falling off his bike and hitting his head on the curb. I had a bike accident once too when I was kid, i was going down a steep hill when my handle bars turned inward on me while going too fast downhill, I flipped and I hit my head on the street just barely missing the curb. I got up with just scratches and a huge bump on my head, it could have easily gone worse. Helmets are key
I fell off the roof onto the driveway when i was 8.Broken arm.I shouldve been that boy.Something to think about.I hadnt thought about that in 40 years.
One of the best guests ever
Damn. It's a shame that this podcast was removed
It's on Spotify, where you can also watch it for free
@@KuzinaElizabeth no it isnt
These thumbnails for the videos make this look like one of those reaction RUclips hack accounts- with Joe's stupid shocked face and all!
Meta Self I get so sick of seeing these videos pop up, this podcast is gay and toxic
This Podcast is a Shell of its Former Self...
Hahaha “JOE’S MIND IS BLOWNNNNNN!!!!!” With that mouth open face.......OOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!😁
That’s because this is a fan-made channel. His own channel has slightly less click-baity titles and images
Nah, this channel is made my Jamie.
I picked up one of his books (Diary) at a library sale (fill a bag with books for 3 bucks). I was 20 pages into it when I realized it was about a guy who slowly tortures his wife to death. Really sick stuff. I threw the book away.
You should’ve kept reading because that’s not what it’s about at all. Not even close.
Great podcast but I am developing a disdain for CAPS like SHOCKED in these titles.
MrTbob418 just ignore it
Yeah that’s what RUclips has become nowadays.....”OH MY GOOOOODDDDDDD!!!!! YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS!!!!!!”😁
I'm developing a disdain for myself because I always click on this caps lock shit
Joe, you are so right about Sam Kinison and that bit! 💯 Rest in Peace Sam🙏🏻
Both are amazing listeners and Chuck might be the best writer of my time. In my opinion. This might be my favorite out of all the Rogan's.
