Yes Tony Lewis had a great relaxing BBC TV test cricket voice. It was so relaxing when it used to be on BBC with no commercials, sometimes they wouldn't say anything for a few minutes just crowd chatter could be heard.
Bowling is not a part of cricket any more. When they reduced the size of grounds to increase sixes, cricket lost its defensive edge. Bowlers like AQ were astute and methodical like elite baseball pitchers. Unfortunately it’s not the case for today’s bowlers. That’s why the game is losing its edge.
Good Bowling line up in any World Cup is still the X-factor for the big teams. You cannot just compare franchise tournaments with International Cricket. Bowlers like Strac, Bumrah, Rashid Khan are still the nemesis for many batsman. However, Sports is Also about entertainment, you cannot watch a game continuously if scoring rate is below 5 runs per over. It becomes way too boring. Thats why reducing ground size is fine but obviously only to a certain extent.
A very skilful legspinner ,he'd impose himself with not just skill but personality and great determination, he'd keep everybody on their toes ,including umpires who'd need to be paying attention!
Warne himself said that he idolized Qadir. Both are great. Sachin has better record than Gavaskar. Kohli has better record than Sachin. But everyone is great.
Legends like Sachin and Lara ,Pointing, Family dominated these spinners like Abdul Warne, Shane Warne, Muthaiah Murlidharan and fast bowlers like Wasim, Waqar, Lee, Mgrath, Ambrose, Donald, Shoaib... They are true legends of this gentleman game.
I have watched Shane Warne bowl in the nets. He was quicker through the air and yet got the ball to dip, drift and spin because of the more revolutions.
Always loved his run up watching him bowl, he put leg spin back on the the radar for Imran Khan, England always very susceptible to spin. He was very good but not as good as Warne or Ashwin.
the bowl he is bowling called the "flipper", is actually SLIDER. The difference is that flipper stays low unlike slider. Flipper is way more difficult to expertize.
@@arselankhan5355it has nothing to do with 3 consecutive sixes When a player will play against same bowler for 10-15 test he can get out 3-4 times to a particular bowler
I simply don't understand why so much importance vis given here at qadir, hr once challenged sachin tendulkar to hit his bowling, when sachin was just new and young bateman about16 years at that time. In reply sachin hit 4 consecutive sixes to his bowling. Qadirs ego was destroyed forever and qadir became a fan of sachin. Check yt for videos of sachin and qadir.
That's not really a flipper. There's no spin, it goes throygh straight but still bounces a fair bit. Almost nobody can bowl a proper flipper, even Warne couldn't later on. A fenuine flipper gas a little back spinvand skoots through lower and quicker after pitching...just like a back spin shot at Wimbledon.
The combination of the narrator, the natural leg spinning talent and the bird sounds give me such a sense of relaxation.

Abdul Qadir was always fascinating to watch!
What memories this brought back! I remember watching this on TV more than thirty years ago!
What a deadly combination; a Bumble bee from one end and a Hornet from another. No chance for any batsman Sir!
This is sheer art combined with scientific precision from one of the great exponents of the game. Kudos also to the narrator...😮😮
He was the most stylish spinner ever. We miss u Qadir. Rest in peace 🙏🙏🌷🌷🌷🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for uploading this! Qadir is definitely one of my all-time favorites, he kept legspin alive, awesome!
The great Abdul Qadir , he made us love leg spin , although Shane warne is another great leg spinner, but the magician was Abdul Qadir
Lmao warne/benaud>>>>this guy
If DRS had existed in his time, he'd have taken more wickets. Great video.
Absolutely brilliant to watch this master of spin. So effortless. So tricky. All those varieties. Masterclass.
The slow motion shots in this are incredibly helpful. This is the perfech supplement ho what I feel is missing from Warne's king of spin video

Rashid Khan is literally one of if not the best leg spinner in the world still making impact

King of leg spin bowling
When the legend that was Shane Warne was inspired and took bowling tips from Qadir. What then do you categorise him ?????
He invented multiple variation in leg spinning
Mentor of Sachin Tendulkar, anil kumble, Shane warne etc
No way I would pick that googly in the heat of the battle.

Yes and flipper comes underneath the hand with the backspin on it. Which skits low
