100% Bro I qasim interview nothing but a live of golden memories xactly the same revealed what we had seen on the ground indeed. Thank U Qasim bhae, hamari jawani k pal yaad dilwa diye, Allah aap ko khush rakhe❤
What a truly humble man is Iqbal Kaka. Was one of my favourite Pakistani players, along with Wasim Raja. Likeable, talented and honest. His respect for Indians after so many years is touching. God bless you always Sir. And thank you for this wonderful interview taking us down memory lane.
Greetings from India. I played cricket at University level. I am an ardent follower of your channel. My childhood hero's has been likes of Zaheer Abbas and few others. Thanks for your wonderful informative coverage. Keep it up sir.
Nice to see Mr Qasim in a very straightforward interview. I remember that match at B'lore in 87 where Mr Sunil Gavaskar and Mr Qasim were heroes of that match.
Very nice interview and loved the way the interviewer let Qasim bhai do all the talking ... Beautifully done .. And ofcourse as Indian cricket fan we hated Iqbal Qasim bhai how could such a bowler with simple action dismantle that Indian strong batting line up?. I think the reason was in the answer - "simple action" .. Good health Qasim bhai may you live long and spread the knowledge of cricket.
😮Still remember when Iqbal Qasim clean bowled Geoff Boycott at Karachi . Also it was unfair when Bob Wills got upset as Iqbal Qasim as a tailender frustrated England and a ball from wills was hit on his lips . Mike Brearly did apologize but Qasim sir missed this match . Appreciated his pure simplicity. Class bowler of our times . 😊
Kasim ji has won a million heart with this candid interview. He was a good bowler and a very honest man..Actually his two catches in Banglore test were out of the World. But the LBW appeal against Gavaskar in such hugely turning track was fake. And also the catch a was a fake appeal. The catch, as revealed from replays, was taken cleanly but the ball had not touched Gavaskar's bat or gloves at all..It was a deflection from pad.
Brilliant interview. I remember that test match ball by ball, it was an amazing game of cricket and Iqbal bhai played a major role in winning it for Pakistan. Brought happy memories of good old days. Lots of love and respect for Iqbal Qasim bhai.Keep happy and smiling
Enjoyed the conversation. It took me back to 1987 and I could see it happening in my mind's eye. It was a Test match that was on a razor sharp edge on the last two days. Every single run was applauded and every wicket that India lost was a cause for mourning. And yes, those who were lucky to watch Gavaskar bat would never ever forget it. It was a perfect coaching manual on how to play spin on a minefield of a pitch. I remember Azharuddin took 8 runs in the first over of the final day bowled by Wasim Akram and Imran never gave him another over. It was left to Tauseef Ahmed & Iqbal Qasim to make the batsmen dance on that dicey pitch. Easily the best Test ever between India & Pakistan. I remember Imran Khan calling players after almost every Test. There was Ejaj Fakih who was friendly in and he got a hundred. Then, there was one Younus Ahmed, a 40 year old who was a veteran of County Cricket. He was a left handed opener. Imran Khan had such a clout in Pakistan cricket that he could do anything he wanted. He was a One Man Board; Captain, Coach, Selector, Mentor ..all in one. Another interesting thing from that Test match is an anecdote that is quite popular. Imran Khan called up Rizwan-uz-Zaman who would be standing at silly point and told him just to watch Gavaskar bat. His footwork, balance, how he handles the turn and how late he leaves the ball. In typical Imran style he said, " Tum catch toh bhool jao, koi chance nahi milega lekin tum Gavaskar ka footwork dekhe aur seekhe."
At the time of Bangalore Test l was in class 5, the annual examination was going on in my school. I was always asking my father about scores as soon as l came home. When Imran Khan's team came to India in January '87, I can't describe that atmosphere, what a wonderful, unforgettable moments it was. Imran Khan probably also endorsed Cinthol soap at that time. Which was always shown on Doordarshan. Sir your precise inputs are very effective and interesting. I still remembered the winters of '87 after seeing your comment it become alive. Now I don't like cricket that much. But love the memories of those times.
I was a university student and still remember each and every day of this test match so vividly. Qasim speaks so high about Gavaskar. It’s really showing his character how nicely he appreciated Gavaskar and his skills.
This is a really nice trip down the memory lane for those who saw the Bangalore test - an absolute thriller in 1987 - Miandad apparently convinced Imran to play Qasim.
As a 9 year old I still remember watching the Bangalore test’s last day with Dad on Doordarshan and how Iqbal Qasim and Tauseef Ahmed ran through us. Splendid spin bowling!
Excellent interview, one of the best matches I saw in my teens. Qasim bhai bowled brilliantly. He has 171 test wickets thats not a small number. He has never got the recognition he deserves
Unprepared pitch in Bangalore & 5 th & last test Pakistan all out 116 then India 145 all out then second innings Pak all out 241 & Spinners took wickets all in both sides Wasim Akram took first two wickets of second Innings & rest spin did it & Sunil Gavaskar scored 96 in his last innings he played . Pakistan won by a few runs & clinched the series 1-0 & ODI’s also they won easily . Iqbal Qasim & Tauseef Ahmed bowled & took 9 wickets each in that entire match . He’s absolutely right , I remember umpire lifted the finger & then changed the decision in second innings of that Bangalore test . Qasim was promoted to bat ahead by Imran khan & things worked .
The best left arm spinner Pakistan have ever produced. He had great variations in line and length with tremendous control which always kept the batters guessing.
Nothing beyond to define that Zaheer Abbas, Sunil Gavaskar, Greg Chappel, Javed Miandad & Viv Richards were the top batting lagends of that era. It is undisputed.
Iqbal Quasim is the best left arm orthodox bowler,Pakistan has ever produced. And unarguably there can not be a better human being than Kaka ji in Pakistan cricket.I wish him all the good health & may God give him all the happiness And Mr.Suku is a very capable TV Presenter. All said and done, this is a very successful and popular presentation.I extend my best wishes to the program.
Iqbal sahab nay sahi kaha 1987 banglore test say pahlay 4 test draw hua the 5ma test match tha Pak 1st inn may 116 allout maninder nay 7wicket liye te Iqbal sahab nay 2nd inn acchi batting kare unhonay gavaskar sahab Kay baremay Jo baath kahi 100persent sahi Aaj Kay baccho ko bats man banana hai tho gavaskar sahab Kay videos bathao technically lajavaab us daur Kay thoofani west Indies bowlaronko Bina helmet Kay samna Kiya aur run banaye Aaj Kay Bina thoofani bowlaron ko Bina helmet Kay samna karnay vala hai nahin aayega bi nahin test matches jab Tak hai gavaskar sab ka naam jab tak rahega 1000years Kay bad bi unhen kaun nahin bhula sakta he is a real legend and hero
The other player who conversed with Karsan Ghavri must be Anshuman Gaekwad. They must have thought that Pakistanis would understand Hindi so they switched to to Gujarati.Obviously, they didn't realize that Pakistan had a few Gujarati players in theri side. Actually, Ghavri played only Karachi Test in the series and, interestingly, there were more Gujaratis on Pakistani team than Indian team. Javed Miandad and Pakistan Captain Mushtaq Mohammad were other Gujarati players.
I agree Sunil Gavaskar is an humblle personality but he played that ploy in 1979 series to take pressure off from indian team and make pakistan carefree and that ploy worked perfectly
I spoke to an Indian statistician who worked for Australia. He told me that in the Bangalore test match the best play by Sunil Gavaskar was a ball he left
Sir donot take it wrong way, because the shop owner was not Muslim but owner and his few sales person were Muslim so they were enjoying pulling on another leg as also Rs 100 bet was at stake this part was mentioned to make us happy. Nothing was serious in fact we enjoyed their conversation with Cup of special tea.
Something that people generally dont know is that Kaka has better test stats than Mushy, Qadir, Saqlain and Kaneria. Couldn't market himself as much as Qadir did.
What a beautiful interview 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Iqbal Qasim was my hero and I copied him during my school days cause I was a left arm spinner too. Luckily my father stopped me from playing cricket because of discrimination against Urdu speaking cricketers as vaguely mentioned in this interview. IK was very discriminative and destroyer of many Urdu speaking player’s career.
Total Bull, take your racist glasses & think on national levels. You can bring you Altaf Hussain to head Pakistan’s Cricket team, he qualifies as he is Urdu speaking.
Son since your livelihood banks on speaking, here's some sincere advice: reduce the number of times you utter جو ھے in a sentence. Iqbaal Qaasim is not a professional speaker, yet he orates better. Secondly, the word "mentally" in itself means دماغی طور پر so "mentally طور پر" makes no sense at all.
He's wrong in calling Indian bowlers ordinary against zaheer abbas. The fact is that mainly Kapil was the destroyer of Pakistan batsmen able supported by pacer Ghavri and all the spinners. India truly outplayed them. Actually in 1978 series in Pakistan, they had so shamelessly and blatantly cheated through their home umpires Shakoor Rana and Khizar Hayat that when they came to India in 1979 and played without their cheating umpires that they were exposed and lost the series. In one 50 over match Bedi even had to concede a winning match due to horrible umpiring.
This is a great interview. World needs more gentlemen like Iqbal Quasim Kaka Sahab.
100% Bro I qasim interview nothing but a live of golden memories xactly the same revealed what we had seen on the ground indeed. Thank U Qasim bhae, hamari jawani k pal yaad dilwa diye, Allah aap ko khush rakhe❤

Pakistanis love great players no matter where they are from. Very respectful!!!!
Very Humble Iqbal Qasim
Nice to see Mr Qasim in a very straightforward interview.

اقبال قاسم صاحب کو دیکھ کر بڑی خوشی ہوئی ایک بہترین سپن باؤلر

Sunil is a role model. With a lot of formidable patience he faced both IK and TA in a vicious turning pitch.IK is the finest gentleman.

Xcellent video۔ Iqbal Qasim was the jwel of Pakistani cricket team ۔
The best left arm spinner Pakistan have ever produced. He had great variations in line and length with tremendous control which always kept the batters guessing.
Best interview and a very humble Iqbal Qasim
Nice to see mr. iqbal qasim ,its batter if you add some clips of his bowling in between interview..
His caught and bold was amazing great.
Very good and honest cricketer. Salute Sir.
Iqbal Qasim and Tauseef Ahmed formed a formidable pair.

Iqbal Bahi, I remember when we were living in Nazimabad 3, two houses down to your house and you were selected in the National team.
Superbly funny interview 😊
😊
Us wakt indian team boht humble polite wellwisher type hoti thi aaj ki indian team ki tarha nahi attitude rudeness proud arrogant
Great person ❤🙏
My favorite ❤️ hero
Majid, wasim bari, wasim raja etc... were also good players.
I agree Sunil Gavaskar is an humblle personality but he played that ploy in 1979 series to take pressure off from indian team and make pakistan carefree and that ploy worked perfectly
Iqbal Quasim Pakistan ke cricket history mea aysa spin bowler nahi ayea.

7.00 Kaka also means... Bade Chacha or Tauji in other Indian Languages.
Very nice and interesting interview though a bit disappointed to hear that Indian Muslims in Bangalore wanted Pakistan to win.

Imran termed him "master bowler of slow pitches" but also kept him dropped. kaka's book ' iqbal qasim and cricket" is must readable.
Gavasker is a goat
India me ikbal Kassim ko Pakistan ka sabse behtareen spinner kehte hai na ki Abdul Kadir ko

WHY THEY D'NOT PLAY OR GUIDE NEW COMMER ? MAY BE THEY IN POLITICS PROBLEM

Absolutely rubbish
He was very good cricketer but always face wrong decisions of selectors
Sunil Guvasker much more better batsman then tandulker

Wat abt Virender sehwag say something abt him also sir ,sultan of Multan 😂
Pakistani players in 80s had a flair which other asian countries lacked packer series only Pakistani players played
Shakoor ji u need to correct your language..don't mind if I say u are talking like Indian kirars 😂😂
It was very immature and foolish of Qasim to tell the press that Bedi gave tips during the Test.
His intentions were to praise his hero.
@@RxSadiqthat is his decency and honesty. Praise him
He praised him n tendered his gratitute honestly, i think nothing wz wrong
It was not foolish but being honest.
