  • We are going to explore Finland's deepest lake (Päijänne national park) with our bicycles and packrafts. We are cycling and carrying our rubber boats on our bicycles and after that, our bicycled and our tipi, wood stove and rest of our camping equipment on our packrafts. We are going to fish, camp in nature, battle with high headwinds on the lake, bake bread on a fire and also teach you how to make a cowboy coffee (nokipannukahvi).
    You can find more useful information about hiking and camping in Finnish National Parks from www.nationalparks.fi
    Päjänne national park is located in Lahti region in south Finland, where EU has co-founded to develop green water tourism. We believe no tourist can be more green than us to paddle and go by bicycle, you agree?
    You can find more information about this region from
    www.visitlahti.com
    🇫🇮
    Mikä onkaan parempi tapa rentoutua, kuin melominen ja pyöräily Suomen luonnossa. Me pakattiin kaikki tavarat pyörän päälle packrafteja myöden ja suunnattiin Päijänteen kansallispuistoon telttailemaan ja kalastamaan. Kansallispuistot ovat tärkeä osa Suomen luontoa ja niissä liikkumisesta ja toimimisesta saa helposti tietoa osoitteesta www.luontoon.fi.
    Päijänteen kansallispuisto sijaitsee Lahden seudulla etelä-Suomessa ja alueen vesiturismia on kehitetty EU:n tuella. Me uskotaan, että melominen ja pyöräily ovat todellakin vihreää matkailua ja halutaan edistää sitä myös tulevaisuudessakin. Lisää tietoa Lahden alueen muista ulkoilureiteistä ja toiminnasta löytyy osoitteesta www.visitlahti.com

    Nice episode! Brought back fond memories of my bike trip in Finland back in 2008, I also did a 5 day canoe trip in Kolovesi NP. Had absolute yummie food (spicy stew with rice, meat and cheese) in the marine harbor of Savonranta. 👌

    Wow Finland is so beautiful in the summer. Bike-rafting looks very fun. I have not had a fish that didn't taste good. Maybe how good fish taste is more dependent on how it is cooked than the specific type of fish. And you are throwing back fishes into the water that you think are small, but a few of the small fishes would make a good meal. Even though I don't drink coffee, it is good to know how to make "cowboy" coffee. Any kind of bread with enough butter on it should taste pretty good. Looking forward to your upcoming trip to Europe.

      @NomadsTrails  Месяц назад +1

      Indeed is 🤩, yeh definitely you can cook it with some spices and so on and make good food out of it. But to be honest, we are simply spoiled by salmon 😅. 300€ challenge is starting in a few days 💪🏽

    Whole capital region of Finland actually drinks that water which is transferred via 2nd longest tunnel in the world (120km), Delaware tunnel is just bit longer serving water for New York. So actually i might have drop or two of your sweat in my glass while watching this :D
