Thanks for publishing. I do have to say its unfortunate you spoke to the most extreme of the most extreme portion of Israeli society while speaking to somebody who seems like a very nice moderate Palestinian tour guide. to clarify the guy at the end, the arabs in Palestine are the indigenous people of the land, the historic muslim conquests didn't replace the indigenous people, they just ruled over them and changed their language to arabic, nothing else was done, no eviction and no ethnic replacement
Yeah they were Arabized. Of course westerners can’t see the difference between Arabic speaking Levantines and Arabs from the Arabian peninsula. I’m Iranian and we almost got Arabized, but because we preserved our language we remained distinct despite becoming Muslim.
Just to be clear, one of the guys on the Israeli side in the extended version is saying Palestinians should live under Israeli law, I totally disagree with that. He's also downplaying the checkpoint like a checkpoint at the US border. He manipulates the concept of Indigenous vs ruler. He claims that Jews are indigenous before and indigenous now, but the Jews were not the ruler of this land for so long now. I don't like him.
Palestinians are not poor people, they have what they want and they choose to carry out attacks to spread lies to the world and of course the world also believes the lies they invent, there is Gaza that is constantly being attacked for no reason, we wanted to make peace with them but they refused, there are many Arab countries that are ready to accept them and they are not want, and a state for the Jews, there is only Israel, and even the people of Israel were only 2 meters, they would also say that we are occupying and all kinds of other nonsense they say. They themselves are to blame for the conflict
That someday was the days before zios colonization. Jerusalem used to have different ethnicity; Armenian christian, turkey jews Palestinian Christian, jews and Muslim, and now they are being persecuted

We all want to learn, to understand, and to hopefully leave this world a better place than when we found it. As always, I look forward to your future travels and vlogs! Stay safe, friends!
One of the reasons the "Palestinians" continually allude to 1967 and redirect the conversation if people go back too far is because their story will break apart if you start going too far back. They're not natives. They are from Egypt and Saudi Arabia and forced their way into the British mandate to commit Jihad. If they are not occupied and are not indigenous, what are they doing there, and why are they terrorising Israel? They do not want anyone to ask such questions. As PLO leader Zahir Muhsein stated in an interview with Dutch Trouw Magazine on March 31, 1977: "The Palestinian people does not exist… Just for political reasons we carefully underwrite our Palestinian identity. Because it is of national interest for the Arabs to advocate the existence of Palestinians to balance Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons"
Thanks for asking a Palestinian what's the probable solution? But why didn't you ask the same question to an Israeli? Ain't this hypocrisy. The living condition of Palestinians shows how they have been systematically deprived of basic rights
Thank you both for making this video. I give you a great deal of love and respect for trying to get the opinions from both sides. Sometimes it hard, but I appreciate your efforts. Love and support from the United States.

The world needs to acknowledge Palestine right to exist. Very interesting fact - Palestine were the largest Christian group in that region before Israel occupied the region.
They mostly stayed in Palestine until power transferred to the Islamic authority. As a Christian I would rather live in Israel than any Muslim country.

Absolutely horrified and disgusted when the jewish guide lied about many things such as that Muslims shout bad things in the mosque and to not go to a mosque. so disgusted.
At 34:55 the guy is advocating collective punishment. If a jew commits a murder...does he think it's justified if I go beat up jews in Toronto? I don't think he'd like that
"They give them the right they deserve (I dont know what does he mean) but that doesnt mean they have to stay " said an israeli person. I dont think its too difficult to realise who is right and who is wrong, yet the problem is not easy to be solved.
I never comment here but today I feel called to. Thank you Oskar and Dan for making this video and showing both perspectives of people living there. Of course, the conflict is much more complicated to be summed up in one video, and I would like to invite everyone to talk to both Palestinian and Israeli people and learn about this conflict from the people living through it - lots of love from a Syrian :)
Was it after WW2 that Jewish people just started migrating to Palestine and took it over and renamed it to Israel with the help of other European and White nations ???
@@nbanow9612 No actually there have always been Jews there but we were expelled and prevented from returning several times. However you are correct that the remnants of auschwitz made their way there as did approximately 800,000 Jews expelled from various Arab countries. You might want to explore the number of Jews currently living in Arab countries if you are interested in the subject of racism.
@Alison Wechsler-Cipriani yeah but Jews in Arab countries are Arab non white jewish people. It doesn’t literally make any sense for all those white people to claim that region is theirs. That’s like white people taking over a place in Africa and saying they have been there forever. It doesn’t make sense all of the Middle East is filled with black and brown people historically that’s how people evolved in that region so for white jewish people to come and take over is no different than colonization and “manifest destiny”
When he spoke of Palestinians that were in Hebron in the 1920’s…there was no such thing as Palestinians back then. They were created in 1967, long after Israel was re-established, so was the flag. It was just the Arabs and Jews of the British mandate of Palestine.
You've got it wrong. After WW2, the British primarily took all the displaced European Jews to Israel. The Palestinians were already living there as well. They kicked out the Palestinians to Gaza, creating a separate non country. The lost land to their border nations. They were then the displaced peoples, loosing their homes , land. I'm NOT MUSLIM OR JEWISH. I KNOW THE HISTORY. 😮
No matter how much parents try to stay silent and hide a horrible reality from their children for their own sake and future, the children will start to develop an awareness throughout this silence so by the time they live in that promised future they will have understood what's been going on, through experience in this reality alone.
as an Israeli American I'm sorry this was your experience, divisive people with divisive statements. This divisiveness is real but its dangerous rhetoric like that ensures division... What you heard, especially from the Israeli side (which I am a part of) is extremely common rhetoric and belief, leaving little room for compromise. For many years I've been told there's no end and no solution, but I do see hope, if we are allowed to grow and stay open-minded like you two fellas seem to be.

Notice how the Israeli tour guide was making hateful comments about Palestinian Muslims ("go to Al-Aqsa any Friday, grabbing microphones and screaming horrific things into the loudspeakers") whereas the Palestinian representative was saying he "doesn't want his kids, grandkids, nor ISRAELI grandkids" to live in the current conditions and doesn't want people to misuse religion to justify this conflict, meaning that he isn't blaming Judaism. Islam is a peaceful religion and we won't stoop to their level and pick on Judaism. Free Palestine

Good to speak and hear from both sides. Good to hear people share about their histories and everyday experiences. At the end of the day both Israelis and Palestinians are human.
Great video👍 Just two points: 1. When you said the Ixraeli side of Hebron, we might think that the city is divided between two states like Jeruzalem is. Actually, the whole city of Hebron is in the West Bank but some areas are controlled by Ixraeli authorities and Ixraeli law is applied only to the Jexish residents of the area, even if the territory is not part of Ixrael. 2. When Yiishai was talking about the checkpoint as a natural border control between the PA and Ixrael, the problem is that checkpoints are within areas inside the West Bank, between Jexish settlements and Muxlims and Chrixtian areas. Moreover, checkpoints are also set even between Muxlims or Chrixtian areas. In short, the Ixraeli army can set a check point anywhere in the West bank. To make a rough comparaison, if you were checked at the boarders of Norway going there from sweeden, it's ok, but imagine a 17 year old Norwegian solder checking your ID when you're going from your home in Stockholm to your school in Stockholm. That's what an Ixraeli checkpoint is in the WB.
This is not true. Hebron is not divided like the remainder of the cities. It is structured differently from Israel, Judea and Samaria, and even Gaza because of its unique significance, history, and build. It is divided into H1 (~80% of Hebron under Palestinian control) and H2 (~20% of Hebron where Israel has military control, but not municipal. This means Jewish residents of Hebron pay taxes to, for example, Palestinian leadership). There are 18 checkpoints *between H1 and H2*. There are no checkpoints to move within H1 or H2 independently. Yishai talks about these like a natural border because it is one. H1 and H2 are within the same city but governed like two completely different ones with two different systems, hence why a checkpoint is necessary. Mind you, only Palestinians can crossover from H1 to H2 and vice-versa - Jews can only live in H2 and make up ~3% of that area's population. The Norwegian soldier example does not at all reflect the checkpoints between H1 and H2. Educate yourself and do not spread misinformation.
@@AlexG-oo8kt I might have not been clear enough, but I said that other than the legal check points between Ixrael and WB or Gaxa, there are two illegal (by the mean of international law) types of check points: the ones between Jexish settlements and Palextinians populated areas (like the Hebrxn ones) and the other that are between Palextinian populated areas (like the one where Abdelmajeed As'ad died) where the comparaison of the Norwegian example is supposed to represent. Anyway, the Ixraeli army is not supposed to operate in the WB on a continuous basis. I didn't know Jexish setlers pay taxes to PA municipality, thank you for the info.
@@zetto814 Again, you cannot talk about the WB/J&S as if it really "includes" Hebron because it does not - Hebron has its own way of being governed that is unlike surrounding areas. Border crossings in other areas are not between Jewish & Palestinian settlements - they are between the WB & Israel - similar to how you may cross from America to Canada. There are also internal checkpoints and simple crossovers - these are all different things creating different levels of difficulty in movement between areas. They're not the same as a border crossing. Very few of these internal ones/crossovers are staffed or enforced on a permanent basis, and again, these are done for security purposes. If terrorism and inciting violence was common in parts of Norway (where, for example, populations who didn't get along lived side by side), *that* would be comparable to checkpoints within the WB/J&S. By that standard as well, you would probably agree there is some rationale to the checkpoint. Whether or not it's worth it to have the checkpoints given the effect it has on Palestinian movement is debatable - depends on who you ask, obviously.
@@AlexG-oo8kt ok, we are not saying different things overall, the nuances you are talking about are details. My main point is that the Ixraeli army has the ability to operate in a territory that is not Ixrael hece the Norwegian example. The problem is that only Ixrael defines what a security threat is with no counterpower and has the power to intervene outside of its territory. The people submitted to such an abuse have no say nor any other side. Can you tell me what can be the threat from an 80 year old retired man? Did the army exlain the motivation behind the decision of letting him die in a building even after his death? Oppressors present often excuses to oppress and security ones are not the most creative. The truth is, this is part of a system that wants to make Palextinians life miserable so they leave and Jionists can annex WB without any demographic fear.

The difference in how Tareq and Muhammad talked and expressed their views compared to how Yishai expressed his is quite clear. The former were respectful and they talked about how they seek freedom and their rights; whilst Yishai is more of 'accept our state and live in Peace or move to Jordan' and was quite defensive when asked questions.

My grandfather from Kuwait of Palestinian origin now owns a book from one of the schools in Kuwait, which he studied in 1921. Behind the book is a map of the world and it was a map of Palestine, and Israel was never mentioned to the writer. It was only Palestine 🇵🇸
The Roman Empire gave this name to the land and so it has been called since because they did not want the Jews to have a connection to the place after the revolt they made against the Roman Empire at that time. After the British Mandate the land was divided into Israel and Palestine in 1948 but for the Palestinians it was not enough they did not want the Jews to establish a state and therefore attacked them even before its establishment and also after. In any case, there has never been a state called Palestine, show me a coin, an anthem, or who was the first Palestinian prime minister. Fun Fact about what PLO leader Zuheir Mohsen told an international journalist in 1977 about "Palestinian people": "The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan"

The United States pays for 20% of Israel's military budget while Israel has a space program, universal health care, and still runs a budget surplus for six of the last ten years...
So what you are saying is Israeli Government cares about progress and it’s citizens health as well is able to balance it’s budget. FYI that “payment” is a loan which Israel repays back by buying US made products. Such as defensive artillery for the Iron Dome to shot down missiles fired by Hamas, sharing intelligence information and Israeli create tech. In fact, so much technology and high tech products used in our devices and by people was created in Israel by Israelis.😁

There were many Palestinian Jews, Palestinian, Christians, Palestinian Muslim, and other Palestinian who had different belief. Palestinian before the existence of Israel has their own Passport, their own currency, their own Palestine national football team in 1928. Yes, it is so uncomfortable for the world that has great interests with Israel to admit that they has helped Israel to occupy Palestine since before 1948. Call it by its name, colonization. It's not complicated.
Where was the land/ the country of Jewish people before 1948? Where from they came to colonize this land? What nation Palestinians are? Perhaps Arabs? Where is Arabia?
To stop the tragedy, both of the side should recognize each other and stop killing, the Palestinian should have the right to back for their homeland(1948),it is so sad to see the Palestinians abused and the both side dont have the peace. Palestine and Israel both should have the existing right to stop the genocide for Palestine.

When he spoke of Palestinians that were in Hebron in the 1920’s…there was no such thing as Palestinians back then. They were created in 1967, long after Israel was re-established, so was the flag. It was just the Arabs and Jews of the British mandate of Palestine.
Well said
You've got it wrong.
It's interesting hearing perspectives from people actually living their lives there.

Good to speak and hear from both sides. Good to hear people share about their histories and everyday experiences. At the end of the day both Israelis and Palestinians are human.
Great video👍
Just two points:
Now, imagine Swedes regularly murdering Norwegians because they are Norwegians... Sorry, I meant 'Norxegians'...

Fun Fact about what PLO leader Zuheir Mohsen told an international journalist in 1977 about "Palestinian people":
"The Palestinian people do not exist.

Well that goes back to the US via advanced systems and information
They took their homes , and say we want to live with eachother
nope. settlements are not stolen houses. settlements are new houses built in empty lands inside the palestinian territories. try to stay within the real facts, it doesn't help when people exaggerate.
@@joojlee wowww rly??? Since when these houses are exactly the same houses older generations lived in for example the settlements in sheikh jarah are houses jews will take after the original owners get kicked out..
@@joojlee there are barley any empty lands in Palestine
@@ramaasali7311 You are mixing stuff. In jeikh jarrah lived several jewish families prior to jordan ethnic cleansing of 1948. In 1967 israel took control of that area and the houses that were owned by jewish families were given back to them or are still in lawsuit. But those are not settlements.

Unfortunately you met the most extreme political stands in this conflict… as Israeli I learned in the hard way you must go on the streets and ask people opinion and not just listen to the ones who made you listen to them.
There is so much more to the world to know about Israel, Israelis, the Jewish- Palestinian conflict and all the army thing.
You guys Oskar and Dan are making great traveling videos but you took on yourself a very tough mission to get the world to know about the conflict in just 40 minutes.
As israeli Christian iam sure u don't know ur own history. Just look at palastine before 1948. Everything is Jewish. Palstnin air lines(Jewish agency) Palstnin football teams all Jewish players. Just start digging.
What precisely do you feel they missed? (Haven’t watched the video yet, but interesting in perspective as a fellow Israeli)
how was the palestinians extreme?
its not a conflict though its a war against the indigenous of palestine..
@@fantaxsea6791 Correct: Jews are indigenous to the Land of Israel. They were subjugated and attacked in their own land for hundreds of years, and attacked again in modern times while they worked to bring the land back to life.
As an Israeli, I wish everyone would hear both sides, both are not perfect
nah the problem is isreal
@@mohamedawes4058 The problem is Arabs not wanting to recognize the State of Israel.

Yes, and about last shouting in israel town
Just important for me to say that the overwhelming majority of Israelis condemn Baruch Goldstein and are ashamed and horrified by his actions, including the Israeli PM at the time, Itzhak Rabin.
Yeah so ashamed 😂😴
I doubt it
@@hotsquirrel4277 well, here's the clip of him condemning the massacre. I'm not sure why it's so hard to comprehend that most people (on both sides of the conflict) just want to live in peace.

no, actually it was before WW2.

@@supermemememe605 what this all none sense
There were Jews living in the British Mandate (a sovereign country known as Palestine never existed) before WWII.
I do believe you have your right to ancestral homeland, but I doesn't mean by kicking out people from their own houses who have live there before the Israel government even exist. There were many Palestinian Jews, Palestinian, Christians, Palestinian Muslim, and other Palestinian who had different belief. Palestinian before the existence of Israel has their own Passport, their own currency, their own Palestine national football team in 1928. Now they can't even get outside of Palestine because Israel bomb their airport.
What a fascinating video! I love that you looked in depth at both sides. What tour was it that you booked? Could you please share the contact info?
We booked through Abraham Tours but we would recommend checking with a different company🙏🏼
@@OskarandDanoh, ok. Why? Thanks!

IDF Soldiers literally raid Al-Aqsa frequently, injuring dozens of Palestinians each time (150 people reported injured mid April of this year because of an attack). Not sure why he's saying Israelis are the victims more often.
They are doin the same thing that happened to them in ww2
Says the fat western guy from his comfy couch
They literally aren’t; there are no gas chambers for Palestinians.
Sadly so. Similar to when the children of abusive parents become abusive themselves and the cycle goes on :-(
There would be no palestine left if this was the case, however israel is far from perfect
The company that organizes public transport in Tel Aviv is also called DAN.
They both make good points. That's why this is so difficult. I'm conflicted as a Christian but I pray that they're able to come to an agreement without any more human suffering and lives lost.
The agreement will be that the Israelis get out of Palestine.
Dude iam israeli Christian. Peace whit israel is easyest, just look at all the iraeli arabs thay are free and some are very successful. Alot of them are doctors
Keep in mind Hebron was the largest Christian city in the Middle East and when it was given to the Palestinian authority after Oslo it was ethnically cleansed of its Christian population leaving almost none left today.
@@bidenhasdementia6804 you really have dementia. Never was Hebron a Christian city. Learn some basic history troll
As a Christian, you should sympathize with your Christian Palestinian people who have been ethnically cleansed and massacred by Israel. It’s horrible.
