What's up with people always saying "underrated"? He's been an A lister for 20 years, got 2 oscar nominations and countless other awards, starred in many blockbusters and critically acclaimed movies. What exactly is underrated about him and his carrer?
What an incredibly diverse talent, he can play almost any role so convincingly. Love his smirk when he remembers what movie it is, so adorable. And his accent doesn’t hurt either!
It’s so nice to see someone be so passionate and not afraid to show he cares, it makes you care too. It’s not cool to “not care” or play the game as if you were annoyed at being reminded of past projects, it’s cool to show interest. That is way more charming than the uninterested, prideful air some other actors show in these interviews
Jude Law was phenomenal in "Gattaca", "Enemy at the Gates", and "Captain Tomorrow" (or whatever it was called; a very stylized production with Paltrow, Ribisi, Jolie, etc.). His work has always been the best when he's given the freedom a stage actor gets.
In 10 years I want to ask Jude Law, when did you say "Aren't we odd? We're odd creatures!" and see if he goes "Oh yes! The Variety interview from 2024!"
So glad they added Sky Captain! It’s a different film, cheesy at times for sure, but a very fun concept, cool world building elements, and I like the chemistry they all had.
First saw him in Gattaca, (a small role )and then in Road to Perdition. He is not afraid to play unlikeable, even ugly men. His remark about playing good kind men was understandable.
I always felt Sky Captain was never intended to have a broad appeal. But even so, it's a very underappreciated film. It was right up my alley. It brought to mind the same feel and the flavor of Fleischer Studio's Superman Shorts and the Doc Savage comics.
At the beginning of his career I didn't like him very much, now he's one of my favorites. Great actor and very cool guy. He reminds me of Michael Caine.
11:30 No, he's NOT a good guy. He's a coward who can't call spade a spade and come to the defence of vulnerable and attacked. Just another slimy politician. Otherwise, it was fun to see Jude so enthusiastic about his lines and roles!
I like the idea of living like Jude Law cus she seems like the guy that takes excellent care of himself he gets a manicure and pedicure a massage works out then has the healthiest meal youve ever seen.
I love Jude Law. My favorite projects of his are Fantastic Beast where I first saw him, then Peter Pan and Wendy, and finally The Nest. I’m so excited for Skeleton Crew,I love John Watts’s Spiderman series,so I know Jude Law’s Star Wars role will be great I hope. ❤

when jude says "thank you" after the person passed him the cards. it's the little things for me
It's a common decency, basic politeness...
Right?! I feel like you can really get a good sense of how the person is in real life based on some of these kind of interviews.
I was paying attention to that too. Courtesy and treating people well? It's outstanding to see.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 watch the Daniel Craig interview and contrast
not the bar for human decency and politeness being so low it's in hell 💀
Jude Law remembering his iconic lines with such depth is fantastic!
You almost forget how solid his career has been. A trully underrated legend of our times.

@@happzyI'm confused by this too. I see some of the biggest actors and singers being called underrated these days. What's that all about?
@@Sweet-F.Aevery actor get call underrated 😑
His accent is the finest ever… but also his manners. What a man!
What an incredibly diverse talent, he can play almost any role so convincingly. Love his smirk when he remembers what movie it is, so adorable. And his accent doesn’t hurt either!
Even knowing he's a great actor, I have to admit I wasn't expecting Jude Law to be as eloquent and thoughtful about his craft as he is here.

I love 'Sky Captain & the world of tomorrow'! So underrated and hardly ever talked about..
Cold Mountain is my favorite movie of his. His portrayal of Inman is so powerful.
Same.
My second favorite movie of all time.

Loved this one! You can tell how much each role meant to him. He has great stories.
Jude, you are the best! One of my favourite actors in all the time!! Nice to see you in this interview!
Greetings from Spain!
I like how he says thank you with each card they hand him. He's such a wonderful gentleman
Ripley…so legend..him and young Matt, Gwyneth, Cate, and Philip..
A+ video!
LOVE IT! He does fantastic interviews!
Jude improves every film he's in. Doesn't necessarily make them all great films, but he makes them better.
Disappointing that Road to Perdition was ignored, he was amazing in it
Probably bc he had like 3 lines in the entire movie
"I shoot people"

Jude Law, one of the greats - and an impressive memory!
LEMONY SNICKET! Such an Underrated movie, it’s so good
How committed he is to the roles he had played!

Would have been cool to see him read some of his Gattaca lines. All around solid career from Mr. Law
His performance as Alan Krumwiede in Contagion was incredibly realistic!
At the beginning of his career I didn't like him very much, now he's one of my favorites. Great actor and very cool guy. He reminds me of Michael Caine.
Love the story about the Pope's shoes. Thanks for sharing this inside note!
I love Jude Law
Grand Budapest hotel, captain marvel, and Gattaca are my fave of his movies. He's phenomenal.
I'm disappointed Rise of the Guardians wasn't included in this. He was fantastic as Pitch!
Enemy at the Gates is always left out. Under appreciated gem
Closer is absolutely the best movie!!!!
Missing : ‘We have to get drunk immediately’
I LOVE Sky Captain!!
I can't believe that there's no Cold Mountain 🙄
Man, I wish they'd have done anything from "Shopping". I first saw that late one night alone and fell in love with that world.
He seems like a nice guy.
Jude Law the G.O.A.T
Brilliant ❤
Yall forget about one of his best in Enemy at the Gates. I will always think about that movie and performance.

What a shame , No lines from RepoMen or Lemony Snicket's

Honestly didn't even remember Jude Law was in The Grand Budapest Hotel
Errrr, Firebrand any one? His bringing a psychopath to life is masterful. 🎉. He’s a “G”!!
And not include ExisTenZ? Why?
I had the biggest crush on him in the holiday
Jude Law, J0hnny Depp and C0lin Farrell DONATED their salary to Ledger’s daughter Matilda in film “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus 2009”
Nothing from Closer???
Jude was a Jedi??? 😮
How the hell was Gattaca not featured in the selection of films?
The 10th anniversary and memorial opening of 9/11 happened on the opening day of Contagion.
He really looks like Bryan Brown from the F/X movies....I smell a remake!
no eXistenZ is so sad!
