We were each other best friend. We raised our boys without any help. Back in 2005 he retired from the Army and we ti Iraq to work doing contact work. He was only supposed to stay 1 year just to pay off the house. Well it's 2024 and he's still over there. I've tried everything to get him to come home to me. During that time I suffered depression, anxiety and feeling abandoned. I was all along. I prayed and prayed for him to come home but nothing I did or said work. I never knew your heart could break in so many pieces. This man was my life. You didn't see one without the other. Being over there for 20 something years he's not the man I once knew and loved. He just left me here like I never meant anything to him. About 10 years ago he stop touching me. " is excuse was he won't to have sex anymore. I was dumb founded. Til this day that's still what he says. Found out he was messing with someone. So all the answers came to be. It took me 20 years to dig myself out that deep dark hole. I didn't want to live anymore since I didn't have him. I tried a couple of times but couldn't go through with it...questions I had he couldn't or didn't want to answer. I finally made up my mine and got a good therapist and tried to get him out my soul. I'm not there yet but I'm sure better than I was. I will never let a man in my heart ever again. He would always tell me what a great wife and mother I am. He can only visit twice a year and when he do come, he's never here, he don't touch me, don't touch me. We don't talk or do anything together. Sorry this was so long but I just wanted to let you know how much your new song means to me. I wake up with it and go to bed with it.
