My disposal stoppoed working, it just hummed. I tried rooting around from the sink side. That didn't do a thing to help. But now there's no hum!! Time for a new disposal?.... Wait a minute, let's check out RUclips.......and there you were. I watched your video. Located and pressed the red button. Looked high & low for an Allen wrench to fit....no joy. So I used a flat-head screwdriver socket and some vice grips and voila! It worked like a charm. Just like my garbage disposal does now. All thanks to your wonderful video. Thank you for saving me god knows how much on a plumber for a fix that I did myself, very easily, in just a few minutes. "Thank you".
Great tutorial (s) ! My disposal recently started acting up and I knew it was time to replace it since it’s 9 yrs old so I thought hmm🤔 should I try to replace it myself? I looked up “replacing disposal” videos and came across and watched several of yours to reacquaint myself with the process ( I did replace one more than 10 years ago in another home but I was 10 yrs younger!) anyway your video was great! and I then knew I can do this. I decided to go with the exact same model that’s already here however the problem is it’s no longer made with the cord, so when you mentioned you have a video on “how to do that”, I went to that one, watched it and then felt confident I could make the switch from the old to the new. So I ordered it on Monday received it Wednesday and installed it Friday, following all your steps and it turned out PERFECT! So even though I had to take those extra steps of switching out the cord, I did save some steps of not having to change out the sink flange and collar, since they were all exactly the same and are still in good condition. I have to tell you that I chuckled when you mentioned in your video that it’s a little challenging doing this when you’re in your mid 50’s, well you’ll be happy to know that with the help of your video I did it and I’m 68!…. Oh and btw I’m a (biological) female.😊 Sadly though I did break a nail lol Thank you again!
Hands down the best comment we have ever received since starting the channel. Thank you. I’m very pleased I was able to help. Sorry about the finger nail , plumbing ain’t easy. Lol
