Can you get replacement rubber gaskets for the stainless hoses? Mine keeps leaking, looks like the little rubber oring is bad.
Probably not. Most will be brand specific.
Okay. So its best to just buy a whole new hose when one wont seal?@masterflowplumbing9812
gracias
De Nada. Thanks for watching
This won’t help with hard warer
It’s used to clear the drain. It will absolutely work
I like to call them junk
Thanks for watching
Thankyou
Your welcome
Great video. We have old black iron pipe which has been painted over and has lot of 90 degree joins. I think I can smell faint gas at one of these. Is there anything (pipe dope itself?) which can be slathered around the outside of a joint to seal it better or is this a fool's game? Thanks!
The proper way would definitely be to take it apart and re seal
Idk why but PTFE is always fail for me if pressure > 2 bar. But hemp works perfect. Maybe I do something wrong, but I try defferent methods of wrapping with 100% fails.
Try my way and thanks for watching
Funny how they cut out the part right after; "these fittings are made overseas"at 3:12, he problably said china, and they wouldnt let him posted unless he cut it out. No one wants to hear the truth the truth any more. all stuff out of china is total garbage.
I think you’re correct.
I have a quick question that I hope you can help with what size plug should I use for a 7/8 female water pipe? I really need to find the right one to close it effectively. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
I’m going to guess you’re loooking for a 3/4 inch pipe plug.
I just watched several videos before this one and they all said to never let the tape go below the last thread and to never let it fall into the opening, the exact opposite of this video.
Yep. Depends on the applications. In hydraulics it’s a no no. In plumbing it can help a stubborn thread. I’ve been doing it 35 years and have had zero issues.
Another camera operator filming from a boat on a rough sea 😂
Troll. Thanks for watching.
Are you a master plumber using pex B, not pex A?
I don’t use much pex at all. But yes I’m a master plumber. I still prefer copper. Thanks for watching
Hurray you DO discard the nut
Thanks for watching
Hi Tony. I have a kitchen faucet that has those Cooper Standard Automotive brand quick connect snap fit supply lines serving the several small faucet fittings. One end broke off a line and I am trying to figure out how to replace the line to get the kitchen sink functional. Those lines are real neat but nowhere to be found.
You won’t find them. They are brand proprietary
Ouch!
Thanks for watching
First and foremost, I'd like to thank you for the time and effort you've put into this video. I've had to replace two gabage disposals already, so I'm on my third disposal now, and it stopped working about 3 months ago. I was going to take your advice and purchase the disposal of my choice and then have a handyman install it to cut costs. Then I saw the part in your video where you showed us how to insert an Allen wrench into the bottom of the unit, rotate, and clear the bottom of the gunk in the disposal. 🥴🥴🥴 My disposal works now.🤣
🤯🤯🤯
Thanks for watching. This is why we do these videos.
Sorry, this is not right. The olive is doing the sealing. Use jointing compound on the olive. That’s totally over tightened. Over compressing the olive deforms the pipe and makes future remounting impossible.
Thanks for watching
WOW! Great story and an even better lesson. Thanks for sharing.
If it saves someone’s fingers it’s worth it. Thanks for watching.
Believable. Too bad there was some audio problems, if not, I'd say it was a perfect video. Thanks for posting. New sub for your straight talk.
Thanks for watching
Excelent Video.
Thanks for watching
I needed a new one and upgraded from a badger 100 (1/3) to badger 5x (3/4 HP). It was $100 vs $130 (after rebate) for triple the horse power and because my plumber quoted $250 to install it, I installed it myself very easily since I didn't need to replace the sink part and sinkerator all the same fit
Thanks for watching
Always leave first one or two threads bare
Thanks for watching
this video kind of sucked. didn't tell us what your anti-sieze is made of. didn't say the chemistry interaction in the fitting pieces and surfaces. didn't talk about torque values. lots missing Dood. You can do better I believe in you. Make a new one. Do your research first.
Gotta link to your channel ?
I’m more concerned with that t&p line just chilling like that
Not sure what you mean. But thanks for watching.
You talk too much
lol. Thank you.
PEX leaches thryroid harming chemicals
Everything is bad for us. Why pick on piping
I would think they would have a torque or number of turns after hand tight, never heard of "tight as you can"
Try your way and have some buckets ready
Bought a 5/8 compression fitting and when I test on 1/2 inches copper tubing it seems loose. Just wondering what size copper tubing are fitting
There are different sizes of copper. For plumbing we measure the inside diameter. So a 1/2 inch copper has a 5/8 outside diameter. There is a size that is 1/2 outside diameter but it is typically used in other applications outside of plumbing. Such as refrigeration. Hope that helps.
I hate plumbing. No matter what I do it always leaks somewhere. Either the water line or the drain line. Drip drip drip. Pain in the butt. And trying to fix existing copper pipes that were done equally poorly by "professionals" after the walls are in place is an even bigger pain. I had one copper elbow joint in the ceiling just burst for no reason whatsoever and flood the kitchen. And the house is only 20 years old. I'm currently finishing my basement and need to run some lines to a kitchen area and a bathroom. I am NOT going to use copper pipes and solder. I've had enough of that. I'm going to try running all Sharkbite line.
You could consider pex piping.
Thanks man...
Thanks for watching
Thanks!
Thank you for watching.
Thank you
Your welcome
The next video I see not in an air conditioned garage with a vice grip will be the first.
Thanks for watching
cool video, thank you!
Thanks for watching.
Thank you! I'm an artist and I make garden ornaments & sculptures out of copper, and I hate using the little tiny baby tubing cutters. I'm gonna invest in that battery powered cutter! That will save me so much time. I just subscribed to your channel. Have a great day!
Thanks for watching
Unreal, everything in this video is wrong
Yeah ok Thanks for watching
Hi, I wanna know what would be the situation that the relief valve will need to be replaced? We're buying a house and the inspector said some water sign in the bottom of the relief pipe and suggested that the relief valve might need to be replace. I'm not sure whether we should or should not replace it.
Relief valves go bad and are typically cheap in price. I’d guess under 200.00 for most plumbers to change. It’s a quick job with a $20 part. Relief valve can spill water for two reasons. Temperature too high or pressure too high. If there is a water softener then an expansion tank should be installed to prevent pressure from the ram expansion to cause the relief valve to open. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
Slow the fk down cocaine cowboy wtf! You mfkers are probably going to return to steal that copper sfter each job... damn!
How to use the special tool that wasn't explained at all.
Sure it was. Watch it again. Use your visual skills.
My disposal stoppoed working, it just hummed. I tried rooting around from the sink side. That didn't do a thing to help. But now there's no hum!! Time for a new disposal?.... Wait a minute, let's check out RUclips.......and there you were. I watched your video. Located and pressed the red button. Looked high & low for an Allen wrench to fit....no joy. So I used a flat-head screwdriver socket and some vice grips and voila! It worked like a charm. Just like my garbage disposal does now. All thanks to your wonderful video. Thank you for saving me god knows how much on a plumber for a fix that I did myself, very easily, in just a few minutes. "Thank you".
This is what we are here for. Thanks for watching

My cold supply line to my kitchen faucet doesn't have a rotating nut on the shutoff valve side. Is there a way to reconnect it with another fitting without replacing the whole line? I'm installing an RO water filtration system and I had to disconnect that supply line to add the feed water adapter under it. Thanks! Edit: it rotates like new, after eventually being freed.
Tough to determine without seeing. Probably should call a plumber in your area
@@masterflowplumbing9812 two wrenches freed it eventually. Not sure what helped most, I was just worried I would break/deform the line when I first tried wrenching it. They are all probably designed to rotate, since their conception.
After a hand tight, I see that the man is still turning the nut a lot more and I would say he is over tightening it. after hand tight, I would say from experience one more full turn is very tight already.
And after 35 years as a licensed plumber I’d say you would have many leaks with your instruction. Appreciate you watching though
its called a cgi. combustible gas indicator
Thanks
I subscribed and then unsubscribed due to you focusing on the haters. We all know there are those people out there making stupid comments, but you fuel the fire I would never known they made these stupid comments. I was just enjoying your video, but I had to hear you talking about it over and over.
Thanks for watching.
Tick rucker. Figure that one out.
Ok thanks
Alright thanks.
Great content, thank you..
Thank you
Thank u very much for saving me $150 that a plumber would of charged. Can u please put the link to the video where u show how to caulk?
Just search my channel. It’s easy to find. Thanks for watching
I just decided to replace my water heater fittings with the regular copper soldering method. I It was mainly because I didn't want to cut the existing copper pipe too close to the drywall. So I went out got all the supplies at HD it wasn't cheap $140 for the torch, solder, flux, pipe cutter and fittings. If I was doing this all the time it would be worth it but as a one time thing the Shark Bite would have been cheaper.
Yes. Thanks for watching
What do you think about the C5000?
I make my feeling clear in the video. Plus I’ve not heard of your model. Thanks for watching
